INTRODUCTION
Acquiring skills and learning are the continuous process. Human beings grab the skills
and knowledge in the field in which they have the interest. They prefer to choose that path for
life as a profession in which they think they are good at and have forte. I also have acquired
various skills and knowledge to pursue my profession. I always wanted to pursue for
management and has a dream to start something of my own. To pursue for my management
degree I got enroll in a good college and acquired a job of retail assistant in Redlux Company.
This report discusses about my experiences, skills and knowledge which I have to acquire during
this course of time. This also discusses about my personal development plan, career plans,
factors that the employer expected from employees, employment goals and etc. Apart from this
self motivation and its related factors also included in the same.
TASK
Reflection
Every being makes plan about his personal development. In that plan he considers all the
skills and the learning he need to acquire for this professional. An action plan needs to consider
in which I have stated all the skills and knowledge which I need to acquire (Reynolds, 2017). This
action plan got prepared by considering the following:
My particular interest: Since the starting I have a keen interest in management. I like to manage
my things and time table. It was very much clear from my side that I need to perform something
in the field of management only as I believe I can do better. All my actions were taken with
respect to my interest for management only.
Awareness: Awareness is the knowledge which I have regarding the course which I will go to
pursue (Anderson and McCormack, 2018). Also it includes how will I take the actions, what actions
can lead me to my final dest8ination and the like.
Current skills: The action plan was also set by introspecting my current skills which I posses.
When a person knows about his skills which he possess currently, then according to that he can
set the skills which he needs to work upon and the new skills which he required to acquire.
Economic and Political factors: The economic and political factor includes the demand of the
management profession. The issues which can be faced in this profession due to the political
factors such as rules and regulations of the government change in the study course and the like.

Career planning
While making the action plan I did consider my career and it’s planning about the future.
Career planning is the process in which an individual plans about his career and the path with he
has decided to follow. Career planning is very effective tool as it makes a person more practice
and serious about his professional steps. It also enables a person in getting clear about the next
step which he entitled to take (Zhang and Chen, 2018). I planned my career in such a way that it
helps me in getting the final destination which I have seen for myself. My plan my career in the
field of management. To pursue for the same I required scoring a good score in my graduation so
that I get eligible for getting my application into my college. I managed to get a very good score
in my graduation time and also that helped me in getting a consideration into the management
college. After finishing my graduation I studied very hard for my exam for management entrance
exams. The preparation took a total time of about 4 months. After my preparation I managed to
score the excellent percentile for my management college (Arvanitopoulos, Achanta and Susstrunk,
2017). And as my hard work has shown his results I finally got enrolled into a prestigious college
for my management degree. There I got an internship of retail assistant in Redlux Company
where my job profile or description was to handle the retail related issues, problems or any kind
of grievance. There I learnt a lot of management and leadership styles which my manager or the

my manager. After the competition of this internship, I have planned to complete my
management degree with a good score and meanwhile I also will continue to put my resume in
big multinational companies so that I can take a big exposure which will enhance my experience
and skills at a big scale. I have the following goals with the career:
Financial position: I want to grab a job which can stabilize my score of income. I want to earn
that much which can fulfill the rent amount for my living place, my food and clothes expenses
and my other expenses (Asadchy and et al., 2016). My current plan is to take a job in big
multinational company so that I can pay my rent amount properly.
Job which matches with my interest: I will take a job which can help me getting a good and
fruitful experience. This experience will help me in getting future good opportunity so that I
don’t miss much good chance. That job should give me more practical knowledge about
management and administration.
Roles: As per concern with my job, I want to get stick with the roles of management only. For
example in my internship my role was concern with the proper management of retails and issues
related to it. This is giving me a good exposure about the management and I my garnishing my
skills about management. This internship though has also taught me about the leadership and
management styles that which leadership style would be suitable for which situation.
Own Business: After taking the good experience with the MNC, I have planned to open up my
own business of retail chain. In that business I will own an own retail chain of merchandise
shops. The major reason for pursuing my management degree is that I can pursue my dream for
opening up my own business.

Learning style refers to the style or the manner which a person adopts to get the things
learns. Different person have different style of learning, it depends on their capabilities, skills,
and their preferences. There are various learning styles available which a person can adopt, one
of which is VAK learning style.
VAK learning style: VAK is an abbreviation for visual, audio and kinesthetic style. Here visual
learning stands for the learning in which an individual learn the lessons or topic through the
visual representation of the same. He thinks that this mode of learning is very much easy and
convenient for him. In audio learning, the individual make thing learn through listening to the
topic or lesson. Through proper listening he makes his learning properly (Beenakker and et al.,
2018). Where as in kinesthetic style an individual make things learns through movements and
touch. He loose the concentration or the topic when he lost his movement or touch upon that

personal and professional life. He must be able to divide the time in such a way that he can
manage to perform the work very properly without having a burden. Through the proper time
management the employee would be able to give proper time to all important factor of work
which would be ultimately beneficial for the organization only (Graham and Walton, 2018).
Self motivation
Self motivation is said when an individual gets motivated by himself without any help of
extrinsic factors for motivation. Motivation can be brought through various factors in an
individual. Different person have different factors for self motivation. I also have some factors
for motivation and which are as :
Dreams: The dreams which I have set for myself has always worked as a motivation for me. My
dream is to open up my own business has always motivated me in performing the work with hard
work. This work as an intrinsic motivation as I myself gets motivated with the dreams which I

Peer group: When your surrounding people like your family, friends, relatives and etc are doing
great for themselves, this also provides me a motivation for do good for myself too.
