INTRODUCTION
Professional identity is a form of social identity which would be the feeling of cohesion that
individuals have had with a career and to what degree individuals identify oneself as professional
bodies (Avidov-Ungar and Forkosh-Baruch, 2018). Professional identification is the integration
of duties, obligations, beliefs and ethical principles by the person in order to be compatible with
activities recognized by their particular profession. Professional identity forming is a dynamic
mechanism wherein the meaning of belonging with a career becomes formed, with some of the
complexities resulting from combining personal identification with professional identity. It starts
to evolve when individuals obtain experience for their position through college.
For the better understanding of this concept, Hilton Hotel & Resort selected. This
assessment covers the several topics such as importance of on-going professional development,
assessment of own skills, capabilities and abilities by using different learning and approaches. In
addition, it also covers the professional development plan to improve their skills and further
demonstrate the job interview process or highlight individual’s ability during the interview

2. Evaluate the key benefits and importance of on-going professional development and how it
enhance the career prospect
Ongoing professional development is a continuous process of monitoring and publicizing,
well beyond basic training, the skills, expertise and understanding that users gain both formally
and informally while they work. It is a database of what people are experiencing and learning
and then applying (Blackmore, Howard and Kington, 2018). The continuing cycle of
professional growth allows individual to consistently control own progress. The purpose is to
help them to record, analyze and talk about what they are learning. That’s not a tick-box record
that contains their training, it’s wider than that. Some of its importance and benefits are as
follow:
ï‚· Personal Satisfaction: Comforting oneself is indeed very useful for companies as it will
enable the person to carry out their work with their highest potential. Ongoing
development is aimed at fulfilling their personal beliefs. Hilton Hotel's management

basis. Skilled staff aims to meet corporate targets and objectives by supplying consumers
with professional services.

professional development. Hilton Hotel’s managers followed some of the learning &

Gagné’s theory: This is a principle of career development related to psychological
activities that happen when people are tried to introduce with lighting conditions and based on
developing outcomes as well as how different learning activities can be organised to achieve
these outcomes. This learning method entails the many instructions that provide the individual
