Week 4 Journal
In my year as a professional, this week is one of the most crucial weeks since it involves
a lot of learning and research.
Besides my usual duties at my place of work, we are at the final stage of the project. All
faults regarding the project were revised by the team leader and later rectified resulting in
changes to the project. I discussed matters pertaining my progress with the project with my team
leader in a personal meeting organized in the middle of the week. Later, we arranged to have
lunch together as a team. The team is exceptional, united, and an understanding team where we
assist each other in solving problems. It is an honor being part of my team.
In the year of my professional course, I learned much and became familiar with the
governance, legislation, and compliance of the Australian ICT. To gain the necessary knowledge
pertaining the topic, I discussed with my team members and co-workers at my place of work
about the organization governance structure and legislation. The deliberation boosted my desire
to explore much on various laws while carrying out my professional jobs.
Although bad governance appears different for different sized firms, the purpose it
serves, not only in conformity but management of uncertainties, an organization’s performance
and viable development, it is crucial for all. In the same perspective, different Australian states
have clear laws for each of its various states, for instance, NSW has a state record act 1998 along
with Victoria which had public record act 1973. However, they serve the same purpose.
