INTRODUCTION
Professional development plan can be understood as a development plan which enriches
new performance horizons in individual career growth scenarios on which wide range of
measured growth is focused on. Creating PDP enables professional growth in technical
understanding and wide range of competent scale efficiency, where planning structures future
performances. The report will be discussing PDP plan analysis, focusing on strengths and
weaknesses for establishing aims and objectives for improved functioning on larger performance
metrics. The research will also analyse CPPD, continuous professional personal development for
larger identification of goals and outlining new changes that needs to be focused on for reaching
new competitive performance targets. Further reflective writing will enable analysis of varied
employability skills learned and new programmed synergies aspect for larger employment
horizons and planned effective working growth.
TASK 1 PDP
The personal development plan can be understood as widely crucial aspect where there is
detailed analysis worked on skills to develop vision and clear ideas standards to evolve on
professional growth within competent scale synergies. Professional growth has wide scope to
raise new effective potentialities in performance horizons where advanced employability skills
enhances structured wider goals where I plan to generate specific targets for new strengths.
SWOT analysis
This is a tool which assist the person in evaluating themselves in order to find their key
strength and areas in which they lack. The swot analysis will enable me to analyse my strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats within my professional personal growth on which I plan to

and weak points (Personal development planning, 2020). Also this analysis provided me with the
threats which are restricting me in improving and the opportunities which can build my
employability skills. With help of this it was analysed that whether we are in university doing
any course or working in professional life the most important thing is to time to time review the
skill which are present in accordance with the external working environment. Hence, this
assisted me in finding out the areas in which I am lacking in accordance to changes taking place
in external environment.

With this I felt that working in a professional world is very tough and hard and also
competition within market is very high and intense. Hence, in order to manage this the most
essential aspect is to have a competitive advantage. This competitive advantage provides a
differentiation with rest of the people and create a better and distinct position in external
environment. I felt that for working as a marketing manager in retail sector the researching skill
needs to be very good. The reason behind this is that consumer trends changes very frequently. If
I will not be in position to research in effective manner, then this will affect the marketing of
product and services. Hence, with help of SWOT I came to know that researching skill are
important but I am lacking in that and need to improve.
On the personal evaluation that is SWOT I concluded that I am good at communication
skill which will be helpful in career as marketing manager. This is pertaining to the fact that in
case of marketing manager the most important thing is communication and in that I am good.
But on the other side I also found that I am lacking in time management skill. There is a great
need for the development of the time management as if I will not be able to complete work on
time then this will affect my working efficiency. The reason underlying this fact is that in
corporate world success depends on the ability of person that how fast the person is able to
manage the work. In addition to this the competition is very high and to have a competitive
position I need to work on improving my time management skill.
Further from the analysis of SWOT and the goals created for personal development it was
analysed that there is need to improve leadership skill. This is particularly because of the reason
that working as a manager means leading a group of people to work in attainment of some
specific goals. Hence, I need to work on improving leadership skills as this will assist me in
managing and stimulating other people to work in same direction of attaining the aim of
business. On the other side it was analysed that there is also a great need to improve the
analytical skills. This is particularly because of the reason that business operates in external
environment and there can come any type of problem anywhere. Hence, it is the duty of the
manager to solve all these issues and problem. If I will not be having appropriate analytical
skills, then this will affect my decision making and problem solving skills. For solving any issue
or to take any sort of decision the most important thing is to have skill of critically evaluating the
situation and then take the decision. Hence, because of this reason there is requirement of the
developing analytical skill to a great extent.

In the end it can be concluded that whether the person is working in corporate world or is
studying both requires a number of skill to be inherited. This is particularly because of the reason
that if person is not having proper skill then this will not provide a better working efficiency to
the person. Hence, it is necessary for me to develop the skills which are low and also need to
grab the opportunity of learning new and advance skills.
In the end it can be stated that there is need of developing the skills which are low in me.
This is particularly essential as this will assist in personal and professional development of the
oneself. From the above evaluation it was clear that there is need to develop time management
skill. Hence, for this the action plan to improve this involve developing prioritising skills in order
to manage which work need to be performed at first. Hence, this will clear that how all the
activities will be managed and the whole work need to be completed on time. Also, from above
personal analysis it was seen that there is need to improve the analytical skill and for this group
discussion is a good activity. This is particularly because of the reason that when I will take part
in group discussion then this will improve my critical thinking as I will have to speak for the
topic in front of people. This will improve the analytical and critical thinking ability of me.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that the personal and professional development
plan is a concept through which an individual set some goals and try to achieve these goals. For
personal growth and development, the use of PDP is very important as this assist a person in
growing themselves. The present report highlighted that with help of SWOT analysis a person
can see at what position they are lying and what are their strength and weakness and where they
can improve. Further with help of the identified weakness a PDP was prepared under which the
skills in which person was lacking were improved like time management, leadership skill and
others. Further in the end the reflective report was written which included the personal feeling
and views of person relating to employability skill which are essential to be inherited.
