2.2 Identify own development needs and the activities required to meet them
Through SWOT analysis, I will able to determine my own development areas along with the potentials
that should be used to manage PPD. The presented shown is the SWOT analysis given:-
Table 2: SWOT analysis
Strengths
Good problem-solving capabilities dealing
with any situation
Can communicate effectively with anyone
at the workplace
Supports for team working and building
Complete the work always on time and
practices the same approach for the
employees as well (Brockett and Hiemstra,
2018).
Weaknesses
Not competent enough to make good
decisions still
Cannot perform many tasks at one time
Being the manager I cannot lead the team
in a proper manner
Unable to understand all the languages
Opportunities
Enhanced opportunities for learning
High-performance results into high
bonuses and position
Confidence development with a higher
position
Professional and personality development
Threats
Operational change in process
The competition level is very high
Advancement of technology at a higher
pace that puts resistance on me
According to the SWOT analysis, I had determined that it is significant for being the manager to know
every language which is spoken in firm especially so that better position I can get. Taking many tasks at
one time is the major skill in the manager and it should be improved in any case especially when the
hotel is facing the period of peak season. As the organization has a large workforce, it is important to
manage the team in one direction, therefore, leadership skills should be improved (Posavac, 2015). By
increasing the strength and overcoming the weaknesses I will create own to gain higher future growth
and reduce the threat circumstances.
