There are various ways through which lifelong learning can be promoted and enhanced in
personal and professional contexts at Travelodge hotel. Let’s talk about personal contexts, being
a manager, I will have to play enormous role in promoting and enhancing lifelong learning for
personal development and enhancement. I will encourage and identify the several hobbies,
choices and interests of each and every worker and always promoting her or him to attain extra
skills, experience and knowledge on that aspect. This would help the candidates be updated and
open minded on his research and topic of interest. Discipline and punctuality are another aspect
that is completely essential for growth and success in any area. Hence, effective and dynamic
culture can be encouraged by maintaining discipline at the workplace. Professional discipline
cannot be attained if personal discipline is not in place. Thus, my role would be to flourish and
explore the condition for enhancement and enlargement in self-discipline.
In the professional context, the current and innovative trend of enhancement and development
programs that is predominant at Travelodge Hotel, namely the GEM and JUMP sessions and
programs shall be adhered by the injection of similar and effective program. The sessions,

seminars and programs shall be consensual and also must encourage the workers to participate.
No training programs must be created or designed which will oblige or in a manner force an
individual and group to attain learning. The employees shall be stimulated and encouraged at all
times by instructing in them the importance of lifelong learning and this could be attained by
identifying and escalating the employees line of interest, enhancing them to implement skills,
and knowledge in that industry and by monitoring on their development and growth (Mooney,et
al, 2011).
It is evaluated that financial incentives, motivating staff’s esteem and career progression are
another important ways to get motivated and happy the workers in the workplace for attaining
long term objectives and targets. Being a manager at Travelodge hotel, I will stimulate and build
a strong and favorable culture and working environment at the workplace to motivate and
encourage the workers towards the achievement of targets and goals. For this purpose, I will
conduct seminars, programs, conferences and sessions to promote the employees. Being a leader
or manager, I will provide financial incentives like monetary and non-monetary benefits and
bonus to the workers for enhancing the lifelong learning and experience. I will work act as a
implementer and advisor to encourage and build up new and innovative skills, talents and
knowledge among the workers for lifelong learning (Faulkner, et al, 2013).

The skill analysis or research is conducted by me on the basis of my capabilities, skills and
competencies against the company’s targets, goals and professional behavior. There are two
types of areas where I need to develop and enhance my abilities and skills in a hassle free
manner. For example, in today’s competitive world, communication skills are needed to run the
business activities and operations successfully and effectively. Due to lack of effective and
dynamic communication skills, the workers are failed to integrate and communicate with
travellers and managers. Furthermore, they cannot present their opinion and thoughts in front of
top management and leaders at the workplace. To improve and enhance the communication
skills, Travelodge hotel needs to focus on the open, verbal and written communication to send
message to other persons. This solution is foremost and dynamic because strong and open
communication helps in increasing and boosting self-esteem and loyalty among the workers in
the workplace.
Apart from this, improvements and enlargements shall be done in competencies and
communication skills for presenting the thoughts, views and opinion on the research topic.
Additionally, Travelodge needs to focus on the written communication skills including email and
circular writing. These competencies, abilities and communication skills have their importance to

that understanding social media is unique and important opportunity that can be enhanced and
developed for aiming to fulfill the aims and targets. The barrier or challenge can be eliminated
and minimized by analyzing and measuring the culture and values of each other that can be
achieved by the effective and open communication skills.
Open and manual communication plays a major and dynamic role in reducing the conflicts and
challenges. Internal career progression, identification for competencies and promotion
opportunities can be given to workers to enhance and improve their skills and knowledge in the
competitive market as it will help in completing the future and current needs and requirements.
Positive feedback and reviews can be collected to identify and evaluate the skill gaps and
differences at the workplace. It will also help in promoting and enhancing products and services
at Travelodge hotel. From the given case study, it has been found that I am amicable and open
minded in nature and try to maintain powerful relationship with co-workers that make me
motivated and cheerful in the organization. The innovative standards, rules and norms help in
respecting each other at the workplace.
