INTRODUCTION
A process that records information regarding various skills, knowledge as well as
experience that an individual has collect when performing several activities known as
Continuous Professional development. It can be used through various firms in order to

CPD portfolio or portfolio for Continuing Professional development has become
very important and this is because, this enables individuals to grow and develop further
in their desires career goals. This CPD portfolio is based on aim of develop knowledge
and skills within limited time to accomplish desired professional goals. And objectives
for developing CPD involveincreasing knowledge and skills to perform various activities
and grow career in 2021. Mainly I wish to be more capable and a better choice for the
organisations where I apply and prove that I am better than other applicants and
candidates (Wallace, 2019). This also involve an objective to build strong professional
reputation, this is because with strong professional reputation I will have access to
better professional opportunities which are not available for someone with limited
knowledge and skills. Expansion of skills and knowledge is also important as this will
also expand opportunities available for me in different organisations and professional
fields.
Concrete Experiences
This CPD portfolio helped me in identifying existing skills that I have and skills
that I have acquired and developed during study at university. These are skills that
helped me in developing and getting prepared for professional life. Because continuing
professional development involves professional development and starting professional
development. CPD portfolio involved skills like communication, teamwork as skills that I
already have developed as they are very important for professional success.

Communication skill enables to effectively communicate within organisation and outside
organisation as well. Communication skill basically is a skill through which individual can
convince others with their idea and point of view. Teamwork enables to be an important
and considerable member of team in which individuals and their opinion are valued.
Teamwork also involves valuing other team members and ensuring coordination and
cooperation within a team.
Reflective Observation
This has become an important professional skill regardless of profession in which
individual is involved. I consider that in order to develop plan for what individual needs
to learn in future it is important to be aware of the skills that individual already has. This
is because this knowledge facilitatesdecisions of individuals regarding skills to be
developed, this means what needs to be worked from starting and which skill
requiresimprovement and enhancement (Cahusac de Caux and et.al., 2017). In order to
develop CPD is also analysed existing skills that I mainly learned during I was in
university. Skills that I already had before developing CPD were research skills, written
communication skills, management skills, and interpersonal skills. These are certain
skills that I learnt in university and these skills are important for all kinds of professions
and every organisation demand these skills in employees.
Abstract Conceptualisation
Skills that I aim to develop through in continuing professional development
involves communication skills, I realised that my written communication skills are good
but I require to work on my oral communication skills. Concerned with this skill, this is
not something that requires development from zero or from start but this requires further
development and efficiency. This means that I wish to be able to communicate
effectively using less words and time and ensuring that everyone listening to me can
understand what I wish to say. Another skill is problem solving skill that I wish to
develop while continuing professional development, this is because problem solving skill
is not good and because of this my performance can affect negatively, on personal level
problems create stressful situation for me that I feel difficult to deal with. Problem

solving skills will enable me to deal with difficult and challenging situation in more easy
way. I have basic theoretical knowledge of problem solving but for professional skill I
need to be effective at problem-solving and I have realised and experienced that in
professional life problems require to be solved in less time and more effectively without
causing any harm to organisational effectiveness. Experience and analysis of
requirements of skills for different jobs helped me in identifying that problem solving skill
is an important skill to be more professionally effective. Another skill that I wish to and
aim to develop in continuing professional development is team-working skills (Ullmann,
2017). I believe that I already have developed team working skill but analysis of this
helped me in understanding that there is enough scope for developing this skill further.
This is because team-working skill is not limited to being a good and effective team-
member and also involves becoming a effective team leader. Overall, it can be said that
there are several skills that I can develop in continuing self development.
