Introduction
In order to effectively develop both personally and professionally it is important that a
proper PPD plan is formed based on the current skills and abilities of a person so that scope for
improvement in the skills can be found so that continuous improvement in skills of a person can
be made. This also helps in their efficient development over the years so that they can become
successful in their lives and in their career which help in increasing their job satisfaction and in
surviving the competition present in the profession (DiPaola and Wagner, 2018). I have
developed my own PPD plan which helped me in analysing my skills and competencies that
make me efficient and help me in progressing in my career. It also helped me in identifying the
areas of improvements so that i can effectively use Kolb’s learning model and develop my
learning process to improve my skills. Also the use of Gibbs reflective cycle can be used so that
reflection on personal learning can be created so that self analysis can be done. In this report a
reflection on my PPD is done so that i can review my overall learning process which can help me
in making effective improvements so that i can achieve my goals on time.
Main Body
While developing my personal and professional development plan i was able to identify
my personal skills and abilities that i have developed during my learning process so that i can
become effective in applying for the job which i want. I was efficiently able to analyse my skills
that help me in acquiring knowledge and help me in my learning process so that i can become
highly competent in my career. PPD helped me in setting goals that i need to achieve with
continuous learning and development so that i can become better and which can help me in my
personal and professional development. The process of PPD writing thus can help me in
enhancing my skills so that i can develop in my career for better perspectives of growth and
development. I was also able to evaluate my personal strengths, weaknesses along with the
threats and opportunities that are present for my further development and improvement. I noticed
that i am good at effective communication which helps me in exchanging information so that it
can be understood in a better manner. Also i am hard working, work oriented, active listener,
optimistic in nature etc. which can all help me in my development process so that i can become
better in my career and become successful. However, it also helped me in analysing certain areas
which need improvement like overcoming the introvert nature, stage fear, emotional instability,

take advantage of various opportunities like training and development programmes so that i can
overcome stage fear and develop my presentation skills; working in teams, increased meditation
can help me in eliminating the weaknesses. Also i need to deal with the threats like limited time,
competition, work pressure etc. so that effective development can take place.
While developing my PPD the choice that i made related to my goals like becoming
confident at job interviews and earning a promotion to senior supervisor are good as they can
help me in minimising my weaknesses and making me more confident so that i can effectively
develop in my career. These goals can also help in boosting my career opportunities so that i can
become successful and become happy which is very important for a person. The outcome of the
PPD was that i was effectively able to determine my goals so that improvement can be made
within the time limit set by me which can make the plan successful over the long run and help
me in my lifetime development. Also i was able to identify the actions that need to be taken so
that i can reach to my goals within the time limit set by me so that i can become successful and
progress in my career. Also the resources needed for development were identified which are
essential in making the plan successful and useful in the long run. Thus, PPD play an important
