INTRODUCTION
The following report seeks to gain an insight into the skills that got developed during the
execution of project. Further, it consists of discussion done over skills required in future context.
In addition to this, a plan of action is included to bring about improvement in the skills which
contain gaps.
TASK 1 : SKILLS ANALYSIS
Skills developed as a result of undergoing project
Every person undergoes different projects during their lifetime. The context may change
from academic to professional, however, the importance and relevance of completing the project
in the given resources and the in the assigned time can not avoided. Undergoing projects allows
an individual or a group of person to encounter situations that they may not ever have faced in
their entire life span. This thus acts as an opportunity for the individuals to carry out project as
per the requirements and thereby undergo learning. Such kind of learning enables them to uplift
their existent skill set, knowledge base and competences. As a result of this, they are able to
perform in a better manner in future course of time in context of any of the projects.
I also underwent a project which required application of a number of skills in order to
derive positive outcomes. Undergoing every stage of the project in a comprehensive manner
allowed me to grasp new knowledge and develop my skills. Thus, below mentioned as well as
discussed are some of the skills which I either improved or developed as a result of carrying out
the project:-
Time management: This can be referred to as the ability of an individual to organize and
plan for division of time amidst the different activities. Now, the first and the foremost skill
which I developed while undergoing the project was acknowledged to be time management. This
skill provided assistance to me in prioritising the tasks as per their importance and deadline. As a
result of this, I was able to accomplish the project in the assigned time period as per the
requirements and expectations.
Team working and leadership: Team working can be referred to as the ability of an
individual to carry out collaborative working for the accomplishment of unified goal. Further,
leadership can be defined as the capability of a person to motive a group towards the timely
achievement of a goal. In this relation, the execution of project allowed me to develop these

skills and thereby work in an effective manner within the group by taking charge of the activities
in the form of a leader.
Communication skills: Communication is considered as the essence of every task or
activity. This can be referred to as the ability or skill of a person to deliver the thoughts and
views in their mind to other individuals or group. In this relation, the execution of the project
enabled me to enhance my communication skills through setting interaction with the different
team members and communicating to them, their roles as well as responsibilities in relation to
the task. With the help of this, I was able to enhance my oral communication but the written
communication skills were still lacking behind.
Things known which were not earlier known
Undergoing the project allowed me to learn a number of things which were not known to
me earlier. By being an active part of the project, I got exposed to several situations which
enhanced my learning and knowledge. With reference to this, the first thing that I got to know is
the importance of management. It is important to effectively manage the activities and tasks of a
project in a bid to make sure that it gets accomplished within the predefined course of time.
Another thing that was learned by me as a result of carrying out the project was the importance
of taking measures through which the management challenged can be duly removed. This allows
the team to perform in a collaborative and cooperative manner while ensuring that they are able
to achieve the goal and objectives in due course of time. Further, I learnt that a project can be
successful only if the views and opinions of every individual who is part of the team, are taken
into consideration. This ensures that their creativity is maintained and they feel valued to be a
part of the project.
Improvement in confidence
While undergoing the project, I got to know a number of things which were not known to
me earlier at the beginning of the process. This enhanced my learning in the field and helped me
in boosting my confidence level. Further, I got the opportunity to leverage my skill set in a bid
to make sure that the project gets completed in the assigned time frame without any kind of
discrepancy. The confidence automatically got inflated with the increment in learning as it
implies better chances of future career enrichment.

Using learning in future career
The findings as well as learning that I underwent as a result of carrying out the project
will provide due assistance to me in uplifting my professional personality. Through this, I will be
able to get access to a better career whereby I can exploit my skills, competences and abilities in
order to give my best performance. Using the skills in which I excel along with the ones upon
which I am working will allow me to have an excellent impression over the associates of the
company with which I will get associated in future course of time. This implies better career
opportunity and facilitation of professional development.
TASK 2 : PLAN OF ACTION
While carrying out the project, I determined that there were certain skills which had a
scope of improvement. The gap existing within the skills somewhere imply discrepancy that can
be faced by me while encountering future projects. The non proficiency in those skills may have
a negative impact over me in the future course of time. Thus, it is important to take measures
through which improvements can be incorporated in the skill set to make the personality suitable
for accessing career in any field. An action plan is acknowledged to be the framework with the
help of which a person can develop or improve their skills in order to achieve the targeted
proficiency. In this relation, a plan of action has been prepared by me to improve some of my
skills. The action plan is formulated as follows:-

On the basis of above discussion, it can be stated that there are various skills which are
required by an individual for completing a specific task or project. When the person undergoes
the project, it leads to development of certain skills by experiencing new activities. It is
important to prepare an action plan through which the gaps found in the skills can be effectively
filled. This enables personnel to carry out improvement and facilitate personality enrichment to
uplift the career scope.
