1PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The aim of this paper is to discuss the reflective understanding of the career that I am
currently pursuing. I am in the business management study hat can directly lead e to achieve the
position of a manager in a reputed internally operative company. I aim to grow intense skills and
capabilities so that I can develop myself to be fit in the competitive world of business. I have
pointed out some of the most important factors that the managers in this business setting need to
possess. I do not possess any objective to start my own business but aim to reach the position of
a CEO of an international brand. Being a manager I will take the company to the epitome of
success and make sure that it has a sustainable growth.
The goals I have set both short term or long are based on the capabilities I possess. Some
of them are transferrable and some are non-transferrable. As I aim for the management position,
I want to be a team player and influencers under whom the subordinates will be performing their
best and get the best results. I am good at building and collaborating the teams and try to support
my interns in the deeply learning activities. I can capable to edit files as I possess in depth
knowledge about the tasks and subjects. I am capable to communicate my thoughts effectively
and make strategies in such a way that can be achieved within time (Assiter 2017). I edit the
write up or emails of the other people in such a way that make them effective and meet the
target.
Despite the fact that the communication style is highly convincing, but I fail to
understand how to approach certain situations and make the other understand the importance of
the factors I am being able to see (Mencl, Wefald and van Ittersum 2016). I am afraid of public
speaking because I feel nervous and run out of words when there is a situation to share my
knowledge to the other people. This prevents me in the public speaking process. Now if I am a
manager of a brand then I need to communicate with the suppliers as well as the employees. I

need to have proper understanding of the situation on the basis of which I will be able to frame
the messages I will be sharing. However, my written communication is strong to convince the
others bit this laso need to have more authenticity to reach the concerned people in the first
chance.
Despite the fact that I know my subject all well, I do not feel confident to communicate
with the persons from other professions. This is the reason why often avoid sending mails to the
professionals as there is a constant thought of incapability run within me. Through the course
work I have learn the need for managing conflicts among the team members as I have understand
the fact that I must know the points of view of the others in order to make perfect decision
(Muller 2018). I need to feel confident to answer all the questions asked to me without hesitation
and thus increase the interaction among the people.
The factor of critical thinking is an essential factor that make the managers convincing
and influencing towards the employees. In this regard I need to get proper understanding of the
factors that make me confidence to share my knowledge and critical thinking at the time of
decision making. All of these skills are necessity to become an effective leaders or manager
(Hoffman and Tadelis 2018). Only by accepting these requirements and grow thing these within
myself I will be able to became a manager in a reputed international rand for which I thrive for.
