participation based study (van Aalderen‐Smeets, and Walma van der Molen, 2015). This is
typically proactive and includes attending or visiting conference, training course, lecture,

Assessment forms and personal Continuing Professional Development Record Cards. Once a

Development record sheets up-to-date as they will often require to submit information of annual
CPD activities or tasks to their governing professional bodies or employers.
Allocation of CPD timing
Allocating time for continuous professional development is consider responsibility of an

continuous professional development training as well as learning must be recorded and what in
which hours it is completed. Most of the organisation gives their members with CPD needs
mostly as a minimal annual number of work time (Moss, Gibson, and Dollarhide, 2014). These
types of targets are explained by the accrual of continuous professional development time period
via training, seminars, events, conferences and many other structured forms of continuous
professional development learning. These continuous professional development hours are

The professional development plan is one in which individual analyses his weakness and
skills that he lacks and the what he is going to do for developing that skill. A continuous
development plan as the name suggests it development plan which is continuously evaluated.
Key learning experiences during university time
While I was studying in the university, I was grateful to spend my whole time and day by
developing a new skill every day. In college, I was working in teams and friends so I was able to
develop team building skills and know how to work in a collaborative manner. Also I got to
know about various abilities and knowledge necessary for improving an individual’s way of
doing work. Communication is the key of success in business (Prosek, and Hurt, 2014).
According to me, I think the best gift I got from university is the development of my
communication skill. It is very important for everyone to have this skill for talking and
convincing everyone to listen to what I am telling them to do. Communication skills help in
creating a good impact on other person. Also, in university I learned time management skill
which is beneficial for me in future. If a person can manage time, then he can do anything. Time
management skills helps me to arrange my day to day activities and achieving my short as well
as long term goals. In college when I was working with teams, I also learned leadership skill.
This helped me to learn leading people and guiding them to work effectively. As per my opinion,
I was able to do my work in this way by skills and knowledge I have developed I college time.
What you want to achieve next and how you are going to achieve that
As I want to progress my career in human resource filed, so it is important for me to
develop skills and knowledge required for developing my career. In job role of HR manager, I
have to attend various meetings and do presentation for my subordinates. Thus it is necessary for
me to be prepared for formal and informal meetings.
Reflection
The professional development plan of mine reflects that different skills that I have to
develop are time management skills, leadership skills and presentation skills. I have planned to
develop my time leading skill by organising different programs, meetings and events with team
members (Ramia, and et. al., 2016). This will help me to meet my team members more
effectively. When team members and I will be working together, it is better for me to know my
team members more deeply and they can share their problems with me. Another skill which I
have to build is leadership skills. As the HR manager of the company, it is important for me to
6

have good leadership skill so that I can control and manage activities related to employees and
subordinates. A good leader can make effective decisions for the company so it is concluded that
I have to develop good leadership skills in order to achieve organisational goals and objectives in
an effective manner. Also it is important for me to become a good leader to guide my employees
and subordinates for working hard to attain organisational goals. Employees are known as asset
and thus it is responsibility of leaders to make them involve in different activities that will help
in increasing motivation level of employees. It is necessary for me as a leader to build effective
teams within the company for increasing performance of individuals as well as whole business.
Other skill which I lack is presentation skill. According to me, I should work upon my
presentation skill. I can improve this skill by giving presentation to executives and CEO of my
company. This will build my confidence in presenting presentations to clients and customers. In
this way, I will be able to give effective presentations and clients will be impressed. In this way,
sales and profits can be increased. As per my analysis, I think I have achieved success in
developing my skills. As a HR manager, I have to be more confident and develop good relation
with mu employees as it will help to provide better outcomes for the company. It is essential for
me to have good personal as well as professional growth as an individual and for the company as
well. When I will be self-developed, then I can work more effectively within the organisation.
This will help me in attaining goals and targets in an appropriate manner. I have to develop my
personal skills and for this I have to do it willingly. On the other hand, professional development
of mine is possible by providing effective and strong trainings and development sessions. I have
developed personal as well as professional skills for working as a HR manager. I have worked
hard for achieving this level and it is essential for me to put more efforts to always grow my
career and profession and not looking back. I have to make effective decisions and involve in
various trainings and career development sessions for have continuous growth of my career.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it is seen that each and every organisation must have individuals
or employees who are responsible and they have proper skills to work. When an individual is
considering his skills and abilities continuously, it is easy to know strengths and weakness of
him. Thus it is advised for people to work as a team and know each other’s thoughts and views.
This helps to minimise the conflicts among employees and increases the performance of
employees. A good and positive workplace environment provides employees to put more efforts
