Question 1
I have acquired many skills over the years by gaining knowledge as well as
experience. Out of all the skills I have acquired, my top three skills that I have applied in my
work are technical skills like Microsoft project, encourage team and lead a team and effective
communication.
Aligning with the SFIA terminology, the technical skills will fall under the category;
apply which shows one performing broad range of tasks as one can do many jobs with the
help of the internet (Brown, 2019). The other top rated skills fall under the SFIA terminology
ensure and advice and initiate and influence.
These three skills have helped me immensely in both my professional and
employment experience. I have worked in Asha Infotech before where my communication
skills were of great help as I had to be in contact with my colleagues and the higher
management and my technical skills where I had to make customized reports.
These skills also helped me in my employment experience where I worked as a
supervisor in Noisette Bakery, where I have used my communication skills to interact with
customers, used my technical skills to maintain accurate details of transfer and my skill to
encourage team which I have applied in the company where I actively participated in a
dynamic team to carry out the work.
Question 2
I believe that my cover letter is fine however it needs to be customized in a way so
that it appeals to the company I am applying for and also needs to mention all my
achievements which are related to the work which can make my cover letter attractive and
appealing.
