Introduction to SWOT analysis
The following report includes description about SWOT analysis of an individual. There is
description of reflection which includes information about strength and weakness of the person
and how he is working in order to achieve organisational targets and goals. There is also
discussion about CPD (Gamrat, and et. al., 2014). SWOT analysis is defined as an evaluation
process that describes what are the possible opportunities in life of any person.it also provides
information about weakness and strength of the individual. Organisations use this analysis in
order to evaluate what are the possible opportunities within market that can be e used for
increasing market share and profit. SWOT analysis is used in both ways personal or professional
for identifying areas of development. A student uses this analysis for choosing right kind of
career path which will help him to lead a successful life. This is written in a simple format and it
is easy to apply structure that can be we used by any person. According to this analysis, the way
in which different people analyse the structure of working. Strength is concerned with the areas
that tells about advantage over others and having some unique resources. Weakness is the area
which reflects the area in which person lacks. Opportunities are possibilities which can be used
by people to achieve success towards achieving their goals and ambitions. On the other hand,
thread is associated with thing which is preventing the individual from achieving his or her
ambitions.
My SWOT
A personal SWOT analysis is similar to analysis of business. In this kind of analysis, the main
focus is on goals and ambitions of the individual. The swot analysis is helpful for individuals for
focusing upon particular goals or problem and working on them properly (Moss, Gibson, and
Dollarhide, 2014). It is very important to analyse various problems and strength that a person
has towards achieving the goals in life. Is SWOT analysis is known as an effective framework
which is used by different people to know what are the factors or hidden talent that a person
possess. This analysis is basically a reflection that provides information about the working of
any individual. My SWOT analysis is mentioned below which contains my strength, weaknesses,
opportunities and threats

Strength - according to this factor, it is is associated with my abilities and capacity for putting
efforts in conducting any successful project. This element is associated with my efficiency e in
organisational as well as personal work. I have different type of skills which are my strength and
used by me e for managing several activities of my daily life. Below mentioned are several areas
in which I am skilled and work properly for attaining success in life.-
Communication skills - this is one of the biggest strength which I am having. Good
communication skills help me to achieve hearts of millions of people with whom I have to work.
When I start a conversation, I take essential care that the person is comfortable and communicate
about project goals and objectives easily (Olsen, 2015). My good communication skills have
helped in in managing to have good relationship and bond with other subordinates as well as
managers of the company. It is said that communication is the key of success. I have good
communication skills which has made me competent enough to have confidence while working
with different people across the world.
Analytical skills - this is my strength which provides me help in in evaluating as well as
analysing the data properly. While conducting different researches, I have to analyse the
information received from secondary sources. A good analytical skill is required by me to
manage the solving of different problems which occur at workplace. I am able to work properly
while conducting various projects as I have good analytical skills and abilities.
Weaknesses - there are some weaknesses within me which become hurdle in my life to achieve
success. It is very important for me to know my weakness so that I can work upon it for
managing the attainment of goals properly (Prosek, and Hurt, 2014). Below mentioned are
some of my weaknesses-
Stress management - I am very poor at managing the stress level while working in the company.
Stress management is very important as it helps me to have proper planning while doing any
project work. Due to lack of stress management, I am not able to react properly at time of
conflicts and fights. This enables me to achieve my target at specified time frame.
Time management skills – this is another weakness that I am having. It is very important for me
to know how to manage time and conduct the projects and business activities in right time. I am
very bad at multitasking because my time management skills are very bad. I cannot prioritise the
business activities and hence, I am always bad at accomplishing the the organisational goals
within time.

Ethical practice - this is another weakness which enables me to work properly with anti project
activity. This weakness limits me to work in ethical manner and involving in several unethical
practices. It is very essential for me to have proper management of all the activities and projects
assigned.
Opportunities - these are known as different kind of opportunities which I have. Different
opportunities are available within market. As I have very good communication skills, there are
various jobs within market can you my skill for managing the conducting various researches. It is
very important for me to manage my work properly and attain organisational and personal
targets..
Threats - these are known as biggest hurdle in an individuals life. This is associated with
managing my work properly and ensuring that I am able to provide good services. In an
organisation, there were different individuals who are working with me (Ramia, and et. al.,
2016). As I am uncomfortable while working with other people and managing my stress, it is
not possible for me to attain targets and goals in effective manner.

CPD
Continuous development plan is known as tool for analysing different learning activities of a
person. There are different people who are engaged in several activities and tasks for improving
their skills and capabilities of doing work. The following diagram shows different stages of CPD.
According to this plan, managers of different organisation have the responsibility of
evaluating abilities and skills of of employees. This is associated with providing proper
guidance to the subordinates for motivating them to have good career path. Various steps
involved in CPD process are mentioned below –
Identify individuals who are ready for career advancement – this is starting step of CPD.
There is analysis of individual whether they are are ready for career development and growth
or not. Managers of different organisation can evaluate high performers. Employees data and
information regarding the career plan is provided to middle level managers.
Set a meeting and expectations with individuals – when the list of potential individuals is
developed there is need of of organising a meeting and provide information to these selected
individuals that company is focusing on their career growth and development.

Personalize each plan based on individuals – at this step, there are different seminars,
webinars, certification projects, public speaking, which are used by managers to provide
knowledge to selected candidates.
Be prepared to be flexible – it is very important that employees have proper knowledge
about their career development. This helps in increasing profit and sales of the the company e
while enhancing of person’s skill and capabilities. This is very essential for career planning
as there is chance of enhancing knowledge by by using leadership courses, workshops, etc.
Create an actionable plan and follow through - there are are different possible ways for
doing things. While managing for the development plan, the most important thing is is
offering and maintaining open door policy. This helps the individuals to share and discuss
their view points and thoughts regarding the issue.
CONCLUSION
This is concluded from above report that there is need of having a good professional
development plan as it helps in in managing the career growth and development effectively. It is
very important for an individual to analyse and evaluate his strength and keep working on it for
enhancing skills and capabilities. It is seen that SWOT analysis is helpful for individuals to know
about their skills and strength for or using them in in market effectively. Also career
development plan is very helpful for managing the achievement of organisational targets.
