Week 10 Journal
Week 10 seemed to be quite thrilled as I learnt a lot through one aspect that can assist me in
my professional development and future planning. This one aspect is a journal article I came
through while browsing internet in search of scholarly articles. This article taught me how
professional learning approach can play a significant role in self development as well as
learning based on culture and society. After reading this article, I understood the importance
of preparing weekly journals regarding personal experiences and submitting them at
universities. This is an effort where participants are encouraged to raise questions like “Why”
and “What” to foster professional development process along with enhancing core
competencies (Shum, et al., 2017). I think this experience was an added bonus to my class
learnings as I learnt something from out of the box. Now I am determined to make self
reflective journals on regular basis that will help me in recollecting past experiences to plan
ahead in more proficient manner.
Week 11 Journal
After last week’s experience, I became more fascinated to discover useful journal articles that
could help me in my professional development as a leader. Since I aspire to become a
competent business leader in my future course, this article can be used by me extensively.
This article which I came through showed me the results of enhanced communicational skills
and significance behind leaning ways to effective leadership. The author himself has
conducted a group study of students studying at higher classes and concludes with a deep
message saying that leadership training provided at higher classes can help students in
adapting efficient leadership skills in their professional life (Cansoy, 2017). Thereby, I would

suggest educational policy makers to implement leadership programs as a compulsory agenda
especially in higher educational programs. It was observed in the article the student’s struggle
for goal setting and problem-solving skills which indicates that I too require developing
effective leadership quality for my future professional career.
