University of Technology Sydney FPE001 Research Investigation Report

This document presents a research report based on the FPE001 Professional Environments assessment at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Insearch. The assignment required students to choose an area of investigation within their disciplinary culture, conduct research using reliable sources, and produce an artefact supported by a written research reflection. The report includes a literature review that explores the topic of cloud computing and its applications in global software development. It references various scholarly articles that discuss the opportunities and challenges of cloud computing, advantages and challenges of adopting cloud computing, distributed mobile cloud computing, fog computing, and cloud computing security. The research followed the steps of developing a topic, refining it through questions, locating and evaluating information, and citing sources. The final artefact was presented in an exhibition, demonstrating the student's ability to communicate effectively, independently find and use relevant sources, and apply academic conventions. The report aims to demonstrate an understanding of disciplinary contributions to real-world challenges and effective use of technology for communication and reflection.
