Answer- 1
Many authors are of the view that ‘Undertakings need a clear governance model in place
to balance IT expenditure with business needs’ (Henry 2010).
Yes, the company in which I am doing the internship follows an IT governance structure.
Various rules are followed by the host company in order to safeguard the personal information of
the clients, business partners, directors, investors, shareholders, customers and other stakeholders
of the organization. Generally, to safeguard the information, mainly two legislation play an
active part, namely, the Privacy Act, 1988 (Cth) and The Australian Privacy Principles (APP).
Apart from that in order to resolve issues the company also synchronize with ‘Australian
Information Commissioner’.
The main intention of all company is to assure that the IT branch associated with the
company works appropriately. However, in my company, from where I am doing my internship,
various techniques have been followed by the company to work and perform adequately. In order
to control the several works of the organization, some skilled personnel are appointed by the
company in total control along with answerability and obligation towards work.
In fact, while working in the company, I also need to observe step by step method in
order to complete the job and my responsibility after receiving directions from my project
manager. As my organization deals with gathering and handling private information related to
the clients and other stakeholders of the organization, therefore the managing authority is always
concerned to protect the information accordingly.

The organization in which I am doing my internship, various arrangements for official IT
governance is usually accessible. As per the structural hierarchy, the manager cum owner of the
company is situated at the top. The operation of business provides fast inexpensive and reliable
any type of brand of Laptop, personal computer, PC and mobile phones. In order to manage the
functions of the organization, whenever customers arrive at the office it is the responsibility of
the workers to record their names and contact information (Al-Saggaf, Burmeister and Weckert
2015). As previously in this company an incident happened regarding the adequate care of the
information, therefore presently we must follow the Privacy Act, 1988, the Crimes Act, 1974 and
the Achieves Act to protect the information. Apart from that, we need to take care of the systems
in which we work generally and need to assure that while working on the systems no rights will
be violated by us.
