Reflection
Gibbs reflective cycle was developed in the year 1988 and this provides structure to
learning from experience. This is used for managing experience of own and developing skills for
learning and planning the scenario. There are different stages of Gibbs reflective cycle and I have
written my experience on the basis of this model. I have attended sessions and there are several
topics related to research which I learnt. In the following points, there is explanation about Gibbs
model and what I learnt from Week 1 – 12.
Description - In week 1, I learnt about how research proposal is developed and what is
the structure of writing it. It is analysed in Week 2 that literature review is developed on
the basis of research aim and objectives. I have analysed that it is very important to have
correct knowledge and understanding for performing different activities of researcher in
order to correct conduct required set of actions. In research there are number of task and
activities that will have direct impact on successfully accomplishment of outcome (Carr
and et.al., 2016). I have understand the research process is complex procedure that
includes different approaches, methods and sources for gather information and data. I
have determined that there are some skills that are necessary for successfully completing
the research process as well as collecting data and information is less time. In order to
conduct this research in more effective and efficient manner, I have considered secondary
method of data collection.
Feelings - This is one of the useful and effective methods for gathering information from
different sources in less time period. In week 3, I have learnt about how to write research
aim and objectives. In week 4 and 5, there is discussion of research philosophies and
methods. Week 6 helped me to understand about various methods of research
methodology. I have understood that secondary method of data gather includes
information which has been collected in primary data. I have determined both pros and
cons of secondary method of data collection. It has been identified that secondary method
of data collection is significant for assembling data and information in less time. This will
lead to save the cost of researcher for gathering information as well as collecting required
data that is significant for taking correct decision. I have identified that my knowledge

regarding digital media, social as well as economic space has significant impact on the
way of collecting data and successfully perform different task of the research. Digital,
social and economical space play a crucial role in organisation as well as help individual
to successfully conduct task and activities in more effective manner. Through this I was
able to gather information about the different aspects in order to correctly perform
required task and actions.
Evaluation - I have identified that I is very important for company to consider social
aspect while carry out business function in order to increase the sales and profitability of
business. In Week 7, I got to learn more about research methodologies and research
design. Several data collection and analysis methods are were discussed in lectures.
Economic aspects are effective for correct decision making with the motive of increasing
business and its growth (Crothers and et.al., 2020). I have knowledge regarding social,
digital and economical aspects which will be very effective for better decision making as
well as increasing the process of organisation to conducting business task in more
accurate manner. Due to this knowledge and understanding I will be able to use correct
information as well as take effective decision or strategies that will lead to growth and
development of business.
Analysis - I have determined that information and communication is very useful for
successfully performing business task as well as managing different set of activities in
correct and accurate manner. Research interviews are discussed in Week 8 and it includes
purposeful conversation between respondent and researcher. I was able to identify and
analyse new and upcoming trend in market area with the use of information and
communication technology. This is effective approach form providing Varity of tools and
techniques for collecting data and information from different sources (Healy and
Thomas, 2020). Application of information and communication technology will lead to
enhance the overall performance of researcher. This is useful for businesses as it will help
in correctly transferring of message and conveying idea in more significant manner. This
will lead to increase the overall business process and increase productivity of business.
Conclusion - I have used different components of communication and information
technology such as software, hardware, data, internet access, communication technology
and many more. In context of Week 9, it is explained that sampling and data size have to

be evaluated by researcher for effective management of research activities. All of these
components were very useful in successfully conducting required set of action as well as
increasing overall performance of business. My role in creating organisation culture in
this research is to provide proper guidance to all team member as well as assisting them
in order to deal with complex situations. I have determined the organisational culture lead
to have significant impact on overall performance and capability of business. I have
analysed that positive and friendly organisational culture will lead to have positive impact
on business as well as help in successfully performing task and activities. In order to
develop effective organisational culture I have used employee engagement technique.
This is very useful for increase relationship between organisation and its employees in
order to enhance the performance of staff member (Madill and Sullivan, 2018).
Action Plan - My role is to create positive working environment so that I can motive
employees to use their full capability and potential to conduct business task. In week 10,
I learnt about how to manage the sampling method in research. In week 11, it sis
explained what are the research findings. Week 12 helped me to analyse what is to be
written in conclusion of research. For integrating actions of research practices in to
professional context CPD map. Through this I was able to create an effective and
efficient strategies in order to perform business task in more effective manner. In this I
have developed organisational design, planning for talent recruitment and resourcing,
learning and development practices, performance and rewards, employee engagement,
developing employee relations in order to successfully perform all task. I have
determined that CPD professional map was very helpful in increasing my knowledge and
understanding as well as assist me in successfully carry out required set of actions.
