Job interview for the Service Industry for the role of Assistant manager
For the requirement of Assistant manager post, Brightsun Travel company conduct a
interview process where I was going for the interview and for the post of assistants manager.
This post requires various skills that help the organisation to achieve their business goals &
objectives. Interview process include various rounds such as aptitude test, group discussion and
then personal interview (Prosek and Hurt, 2014). But personal interview also divided in to three
part where firstly I have to clear technical round then HR round and then last face to face
interview with the manager of company. I have to face such a long process to get this job. Firstly
I clear aptitude test where my logical thinking and intelligence level check. After this, group
discussion conducted in the pair of 5 people. This round also clear because my communication
and wide thinking process regarding any topic is very good.
Another round is related to interview where firstly I have to show my academics
knowledge, some basic fundamentals which show that I am good in my studies and I am very
dedicated towards my studies. Next interview round with HR where they keep asking question to
identify my behaviour and my thinking process. After clearing all rounds, I have to face manager
for the final round and it is critical point because it will be the decider round. That I am selected

for the post of assistant manager or not. But yes, I am selected for this role and become a part of
Brightsun Travel company as a assistant manager (Sahrmann, 2014).
Strength & Weakness of interview process
Strength: Interview process for the post of assistant manager provide me knowledge,
confidence and it also provide me a lifetime experience. When I am sitting in front of
interviewer, I am very nervous but I know that can confidently answer the question. The way of
answering any questions, I can see that interviewer is impressed with me and personality. I
observed that, mostly questions occur from the internship period because it is the learning phase
of my life. Another questions about my past experience where I have to explain my role &
responsibility of work and my achievements. Interviewer also asked me to tell me about your
biggest challenge in last organisation and what are the difficulties I face at the time of
performing my task. With the help of this interview process I am become aware about the
working culture, organisational behaviour, attitude of staff members and behaviour of interview.
So basically, overall interview process is goods I get the job because of my skills, knowledge and
capabilities (Tseng and Kuo, 2014).
Weakness: Before starting of my interview process, I am little bit nervous because there
are many applicants available for the role of assistant manager. I observed that many applicants
said that, interviewer ask them about various general knowledge questions but they failed to ask.
So after listening this, I stress out because my knowledge also not so good. After seeing other
candid ants being panic and take pressure, it will reduce my confidence too. In the interview
process I am doing weird things such as move my legs, play with pen and reducing my
concentration from the interview process. These are point which become barrier for me to get
this job.
