their managers are required to deal with various clients on daily basis including those
who are not known with languages such as English. Moreover there required to provide
clear information and proper guidance to the subordinates and order to carry forward
their functioning in smooth manner.

Work ethics: it is termed as the prominent competency that is needed by individuals at

By undertaking my own personal and professional development it is determined by me at I
need to consider various competencies along with my skills as well (Clements and et. al., 2016).
As in modern time, determination and evaluation of my own competencies along with my skills
is discussed as under:
Collaboration and cooperation: By conducting the evaluation of this scale and it is
determined that I am pretty much skilled enough in order to manage my whole team full
stop despite from this it is also considered that this is skills are the one that I can easily
performed without facing any difficulty in any kind of circumstances. Moreover I am
skilled enough to finish the whole task by taking and providing guidance to my
subordinates who are my Associates by performing various tasks at one time. In addition
to this if rating system is conducted in terms of my own skills then it will be around 8 out
of 10.
Willingness to learn and adopt: Now I talk about my learning skills I will give around 6
out of 10 in terms of rating. More over it is also depends on my premium analysis and
determination that I appear towards learning of any new subject full stop in addition to
this it also allows me to perform various functions while doing my work and obligations
which is needed for the post of event manager (Baldwin and et. al., 2017). For this it is
analyzed that the premier Inn hotel where the welcome on the progression as per their
prerequisite of circumstances.

critical skill and in this I give myself around 8 out of 10 ratings. Reason behind this is

Problem resolving: by considering this competencies I gave myself 6 out of 10 rating and
the reason behind this is enhancing and improving my level of skills and competencies by
my own so that I can easily gain prominent positions based on my own personality.

Leadership: While talking about this competency I will give approximately 7 out of 10
ratings to myself and it is not quite good when it comes to managing and leading a team.
Moreover it is also required by me to continuously learning new factors and components
in terms of how I can improve my own competencies in an effective manner.
Customer service: It is also considered as another critical competency which usually
affects my overall performance. Describe my behaviour with my customers which need
to be good in order to provide them prominent amount of satisfaction which is useful in
retaining them for longer period of time. By analysing this I rate myself for this
competency is 8 out of 10 which is I think a good number.

Constructivism: This theory relies on the assumptions of learning which is considered as
the active procedurewhich every individual needs to consider on continuous basis in their
life. From this I learn number of things and techniques that is conducted by thoroughly
investigating of my past experience and my surroundings and environment.
Cognitivism: This theory fully relies on various internal procedure that are mentally
considered in the concentration on activities such as knowledge and problem solving
aspects and mental thinking of an individual (Jackson, 2016).
Learning approaches:
VARK style: It is considered as one of the most prominent approach that is concerned
with various methods as it enables individual to classify various learning styles in
accordance with their preference and also and sure that their learning in best and
prominent manner (Han, 2017). Therefore techniques like audio visual reading and
writing and kinetics as well can be used by me that is helpful in developing questionnaire
that makes things easy for me to learn things in accurate manner.
Kolb’ learning cycle: This method is considered as the most prominent method of
learning functions with number of steps from which first step include encountering new
and prominent experiences. Next one describe observation in which learners analyze any
kind of inconsistency in the performance that arise conflict among their experience and
understanding that is required for the next stage (Novakovich, Miah and Shaw, 2017).
Moreover last age is concerned with the development of suitable concepts or in simple
words development of pure modified idea. Before it summarizes that this learning
approach is helpful for me in order to develop and gain new experience and learning that
based on my past records.
By considering the above discussion of various theories and approaches of learning, so for
my understanding and believe constructivism theory and VARK learning approach is best suited
on my skills and post as the manager of Premier Inn hotel. Reason behind choosing these to
learning styles and approach is there concepts that help me in gaining and developing new set of
skills and specialises on the grounds of my past experience and appropriate style of writing. It is
very effective in terms of personality and also enhancing my competency level for performing
the role of manager in Premier Inn hotel.
