Professional Issues Assignment Introduction
2. Analysis
This report section consists of several factors related to a case study, these
factors help in deep focusing and analysing on professional and social issues
within the employer and employees in the organisation. The essential factors
in relation to the case study are summarised below:
2.1. Legal factors
Factor 1: Acquires personal details of organisation: After getting
unappreciated behaviour from Richard, the Alex and Sophie decide to
establish their own agency for which they tried to collect the vital
information of clients of Firestone. Along with this, they tried to detect
all the necessary information and data which help in establishing their
agency. Acquiring essential details of clients of an organisation leads to
misuse of the systems which is illegal or misconduct activity. This is
one the essential concern which reduces the privacy of the
organisation by their key employees as Alex and Sophie are key
employees at Firestone and they tried to acquire the personal details of
clients. Further, Alex tried to take the copy of all the work and analyse
how to use other materials which help in attracting clients who had a
contract with Firestones over a long period of time.
Factor 2: Breach of privacy system of organisation: The Reaper is
one of the effective systems which is used at the Firestone, it helps in
engaging client information and stores it with advance privacy system.
As Alex and Sophie know how to use Reaper system, and Sophie was
the IT software developer at Firestone and they know very well how to
detect the confidential information from the Reaper system. Use of
such confidential privacy system is lead to illegal which reduce the
privacy level of the company by its employees. The owner of the
company has to enhance their own privacy level so that other
employees cannot able to use their privacy system and not able to
misuse their confidential information.
Factor 3: Misuse of all the details: After getting all the details of
Firestone’s clients and with the help of other useful information, the
Alex tried to attract all the clients by updating the server and Reaper
system within the organisation. He tried to misuse all the confidential
information and developed its own agency within a year. This activity
leads to illegal as a person has no right to use confidential details of
any company, for such concern he should be charged fine by the police
or by any legal action.

Factor 4: Develop professionalism: It is necessary to act and behave
like a professional in business and person should maintain its
professional behaviour in the organisation in an effective manner. As
per the case study, it is the duty of manager (Richard) at Firestone to

with boss and Richard who was the owner at Firestone has also failed
too in maintaining. Such factors lead to developing the poor relationship
between employer and employee due to which Alex and Sophie tried to
focus on establishing their own agency.
Factor 7: Develop own personal skills and development in the
organisation: In IT sectors developers tries to develop their own
mindset through which can develop the performance of the
organisation, this help in enhancing the performance and help in
building relationships with the organisation. Here, Alex tried to misuse
his own personal skills and the ability to hacking the Reaper system of
Firestone, by which he can able to set and make an agreement with the
former clients of Firestone. Such activity should not be done by
professional, the employee should follow organisational ethics in an

2.7. Decision
The decision in the case should be that Alex and Sophie should not
take such unethical decisions which lead to cost millions of dollars to
Richard. Along with this, they don't have to misuse the organisational
system which helps them in analysing and taking all the information
related to clients and other artworks related to the organisation. These
are the misconduct or illegal activities which are done by them in
developing and launching new agency in the market. As per my view,
Alex has taken a good decision, as she analysed and object at Alex
when he tried to make use of her by taking all the information through
the system and deny her to do such activities and she moves on to
another city for finding a new job. On the other hand Alex has misused
his position in the organisation and successfully take over all the clients
of Firestone. These are the wrong decisions and actions taken by Alex
and Sophie.

These are the wrong decisions and actions taken by Alex
and Sophie.
