Answer 1: Mentoring and its Benefits
A mentor can help with various things. Mentors are those who help in giving guides or tips
to others in order to help them. For the other person, it is a kind of support, motivation,
engorgement, and knowledge which helps them to achieve the desired goals or the dreams, A
mentor is person who has better life experience and a person who shares good values and
morals (Garvey, Strokes, and Megginson, 2010). There are various benefits of having a
mentor during the initial years of professional employment. Some of the ways are:
Personal development: Mentoring helps in building a good network with new
and influential people, who help in adding value to the personality of the employees
and give them a space for personal development. A mentor is always an experienced
person and it helps the employees to learn and grow quickly.

be helpful in such cases as they can advise things to solve the problems in a
professional and an ethical manner.
Career progression: A mentor helps the employers to know about new and
different job opportunities as they may also hear about them. A mentor helps the
employees to achieve those job opportunities by guiding them (Bruce, and
Bridgeland, 2014).
Focus: Mentor is someone who helps the employees to stay on track and also helps
the employees to stay motivated and focused towards work. The mentor helps

Planning a career is really important as it gives direction for the future. There are various
options available in different industries still making career choice is difficult. It is important
to follow some of the professional career planning activities which are:
Attending ACS events: Networking is something which plays an important role in
the contribution of the professional and personal growth. ACS events are basically
used for both informal and formal chances of networking which helps the employees
in leading to the future employee and employer. ACS is a thing that helps the

drawbacks too as these certifications require an independent group study which is
followed by in-depth exams, apart from these the fees can also be hefty for the solo

long term and short term planning which also helps in generating increased business
and also helps in securing the jobs through planning agencies with the help of
individual clients (Maggiori, Johnston, Krings, Massoudi, and Rossier, 2013).
