INTRODUCTION
Personal professional reflection is defined as the writing delivers a chance for someone to
gain additional understandings from respective work through deeper reflection on his
experiences, and additional consideration of other people perceptions from academia and theory.
This professional reflection is related to Network Intrusion Detection System with Machine
Learning Algorithms and its factors. In this report various challenges of construction proposal,
discussion with tutors and required skills that in construction of proposal is discussed. Apart
from that various skills learnt from research project is being covered in this project report.
TASK
Critical discussion of challenges encountered in the construction of each section of the proposal
For the respective research proposal of Analysis of Network Intrusion Detection System with
Machine Learning Algorithms, I have faced various difficulties and challenges in writing the
assignment. Apart from that selecting the research topic, eliminating the unrelated results that is
time consuming process affect my research work. I have use multiple strategies such as
secondary research, online articles, journals, books and PDFs are used to find relevant
information to make research work more effective.
I have faced various other challenges in research work such as the research work in
depends upon the search engine that offers speed, reliability and convenience but I was not able
to use it in proper manner so later the research work of Network Intrusion Detection System is
dome on long research paper. There are some problems related to the unbalanced as well as huge
data set, analyse the whole data and select the appropriate one is the major challenge that is faced
during the research.
During the selection of research topic, I have formulated thesis on them in order to
identify the term Network Intrusion Detection System and divide it in various categories. There
are various information is collected by me to that enhance the deep understanding about the
topic. I have been go through different articles and books and research brainstorming process to
select the most efficient research topic. Research approaches help me to prepare research by
covering all details and impacts of Network Intrusion Detection System.

Critical discussion of your interaction and use of support tutors/peers/supervisors
I have consult and interact with tutors, peers and supervisors of research in order to enhance
practical knowledge and understanding about the various aspects of research proposal on
Network Intrusion Detection System. My primary focus is upon the discussing about the research
objectives such as analysing the multiple type of network attacks, implementation of detection
strategies as well as improve the rate of detection accuracy through applying Machine learning
algorithm. Apart from that sectioning the research work, devising the research questions and
clarifying the expectations from research experiences.
I have got feedback of my research work from supervisors that help me to improve my
work by adding some information and relevant data that enhance the overall effectiveness of
research work. I have got various advises from the my tutors that help in enhancing the overall
quality of research proposal. The teaching staff clarifies all necessary changes that improve
research quality.
Consulting with staff member is provide extreme motivation and experience to me that
enhance my interest in the Network Intrusion Detection System and cyber security studies. I
have frequently collaborated with peer and tutors to enhance my knowledge, to know about
additional requirement on order to effectively complete my dissertation work on Network
Intrusion Detection System.
Critical discussion of skills required/used for successful construction of the proposal
I have found that there are various skills and competencies are required to construct the proposed
such as analytical skills, communication skills, writing skills, utilisation of supports. Apart from
that I have realised that the experienced and knowledgeable librarians who assist me in this
proposal plays important role in construction in successful manner. Time management and
evaluating the information and taking decision to select appropriate method are some skills that

skills are required to complete the wok of research efficient manner.

I have learnt various lessons from the research and strategies that I adopted. All these lessons
help me in future assignment and work in order to attain all defined goals and objective in
efficient manner. I have got experience to work with other team members as well as encourage

me learn more and improve various factors that enhance my overall personality. I have discussed

Description: In this research paper I have provide reflection on the specific proposal
assignment. It is required to write 1750 words on Network Intrusion Detection System topis
which was chosen by me in my dissertation work. There are various academic paper and lectures
are attended that improves my knowledge about the topic. I have learnt various skills by reading,
listening and visualising the information and asses them on the behalf of their priority.
Feeling: I am feeling uncomfortable that I will achieve better grand or not but the
knowledge that I have gained during the research work provide confidence on my-self. I always
keep noting the feedbacks that are provided by the tutors and lecturers that help me to construct

effectively completing future work.
Evaluation: There are various difficulties are faced by me during constructing the

because of lack of time and volume of reading. I have used various technological factors and

particular problems with efficiency and facilitates to save time as well. Using Python, the

Analysis: As the whole research work provides various information about cyber crimes
and security as well as Network Intrusion Detection System. I have learnt number of skills that
help me to complete the work in efficient manner as well as help in future work. There are
various good and bed experienced I have gained the help me to analyse all situation effectively
than actions are taken. I have been established SMART objectives that facilitates to make work
more effective. During the preparation of research, I have learnt to recognise the deep depth
argument. There are proper in-depth critical discussion is provided by me in dissertation proposal

Action plan: In this report the reflection is provided that I had felt during my dissertation
work on Network Intrusion Detection System with learning algorithm. There are various things

are done by that help me accomplish the assignment work in proper manner and get high grade
by proper work. I have been evaluated all alternatives than select the best one that help me to
attain desired goals and objectives in efficient manner. There are work is divided in various part

situation and take decisions accordingly. At the starting of the research proposal, I was nervous
but after reflection, I have confidence in writing on dissertation work on Network Intrusion

which have been identified to lack strength.

CONCLUSION
As per above report, it can be concluded that Intrusion Detection System is defined as the
software application that detects the network intrusion using the machine learning algorithm. The
system will monitor the system or the network in order to identifies the malicious attacks and
that protects the computer network from the unauthorized access of the users. There are various
primary and secondary research are used and various challenges are that affect the research work
as well.
