INTRODUCTION
Professional Portfolio is collection of organised documents and facts which clearly
reflects talent and skills of an individual along with professional growth. It includes personal
working portfolio which is in details and another is Professional Presentation to fulfil specific
need (Grant, 2017). In this report career development plan will be prepared to identify potential
skills and qualifications along with sources for new placements. At last, CV will be prepared so
that response will be send to identified job information.
MAIN BODY
i. Career Development Plan
It is a written document which identifies short and long – term objectives which an
individual have for existing and future job profiles. It is planned and sequence list which contains
formal and informal experiences helps personnel in attainment of personal and professional
growth (Owen and Watson, 2015). The purpose of Career Development Plan is helping
individual in accomplishment of their objectives which also helps organisation to retain
workforce.

In old days it was difficult to find a job or information related to it but in present era it
becomes easy to locate job profile for future career (Bala and Venkatesh, 2015). There are
different sources by which job related information can be find out easily, some of them are as
follows:
Networking: There are professional associations which have job information that are not even
advertised on different portals. Some of the tools like LinkedIn, have networks of professional
that gives job profiles and new job openings (Morgeson, Brannick and Levine, 2019). For this
individual need to analyse these sites and have network with these professionals so that they get
complete information about the new jobs.

Referrals: This is type of incentive that organisation provide to employees for referring
candidate and placing it successful. This is type of invitation that individual gets without even
searching for new jobs. This is win-win situation for employee as they get referral incentive and
organisation without much trouble gets an employee suitable for hob profile.
Career Websites: There are number of career related websites that post new jobs on daily basis
like Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, etc. These are virtual job boards which are present online
and vast number of job openings can be find out at single websites. Authenticity of job posted
needed to be checked by individual before selection process and there are number of cases of
frauds so individual needs to be cautious (Marivate and Moorosi, 2017).
Job Fairs: These are targeted for particular industry with the help of some recruitment fairs and
contains number of organisation. Such companies gives opportunities to candidate by conducting
interview and selecting individual. There are many options available with candidate to choose
from and work with business so that they have effective growth in their career.
Company Websites: In this individual can make list of organisation they wants to pursue their
career in and visit its official website to find out job profiles. This is one of the effective way to
contact organisation directly and have more chances of selection. There are many companies
who have outsourced their recruitment process and does not post new openings. Thus it is
important that candidates select more than one sources to search for job positions.
Internet: There are number of search engines that contains job openings and related information
so that candidates can find it with less difficulty (Jarrett and Blake, 2017). These are easily
accessible and most widely used for acquiring information related to job profiles and
organisation involved in selection process. I have opted for this source as well so that complete
information about the advertisement post can be identified and I will be able to contact the
recruiter as well.
I came across a job advertisement of Team Leader in KFC with the help of internet
source and find out all relevant information required. The advertisement contains job roles and

this job and send my CV to the recruiter.

CV is short form for Curriculum Vitae which contains information required to get a job
and gives a hint to employer about skills and experiences individual posses. It also outline
personal details which helps recruiter to find out hobbies, interest and other information related
to background of candidate.
