INTRODUCTION
Portfolio is defined as the accumulation of student task which represents a selection of
performance. Moreover, there are various information which would be needed in
accomplishment of particular portfolio in systematized way (Dukhan, 2020). This information
are note taking, presentation skills and others. All these are vital information which would be
needed for effectively accomplishment of portfolio. The topics which are going to be covered in
this report are note- taking, sources of information, plagiarism, referencing and paraphrasing.
Apart from these all, presentation skills are also discussed in this report.
Main Body
Notetaking
Note – taking in considered as the activities of recording information from various source.
Also, this is performing when person written to that notes and make notes upon them.
Additionally, this is much helpful competencies which come in handy not only just attempting
questions but also to prepare individuals within its life.
Along with this, note taking is very essential as this incorporates individuals into process
of learning. The taking notes enable them to minimise information within manageable size. It
would also be helpful in recording various data for longer duration which in turn affect learning
in optimistic way. Thus, taking notes are vital as well as crucial part of gaining knowledge and
growth. Moreover, it is also crucial for student into its studies (Guesmi, 2020). There are few
effectiveness of note taking like it allow person to recall all thing that teaches into class during
examination or apart, clear doubts, develop a habit of writing and others. Along with this, it
would also helpful in preventing from mistakes while attending any meetings, classes and others.
So, note- taking is very vital into classroom for students.
Source of information
There are several kind of reliable information sources when an individuals could simply
obtain information regarding their studies and others. Moreover, there is several number of
secondary sources when i could simply accumulate information related to person courses. These
sources are articles, journals, books and many more. Whole these are helpful as well as reliable
information source which assists person into their career such as without references, this would
not be possible for me to gather effective and reliable data. Along with this, non- reliable source

are personal websites, tweets, blogs and others. Both of them such as non reliable as well as
reliable sources are determined with assistance of internet. For example: blogs, forums, websites
and many others.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is considered as the chances of similarity into the work the individuals perform,
when the content get copied through someone that are already used in same like content earlier.
Moreover, the copying of others content is not effectual approach as well as undertaken as
misconduct. Therefore, this si vital that the content that are going to be written into document
that should not be copied from others as this would be regarded as plagiarism that comes under
the category of misconduct (Lewis and et. al., 2020). Along with this, the ways which would aids
individuals to obviate plagiarism from its content is paraphrasing the written information into
own manner through understanding the actual meaning. Additionally, it assists in representing
the opinions upon similar topics without copying others content. Also, person can use synonyms
as this is considered as the other way which is helpful in obviating plagiarism but not much
effective in comparison to others those are discussed above. As many times, it assists to obviate
information but not keep the relevancy of those sentence similar manners as it depicted through
author’s original one. Therefore, the usages of synonyms to remove plagiarism required to be
used in conscious way through maintaining the sentence relevancy so that the meaning of
sentences does not get changed and information would be understandable to viewers. Also, it
assists whole for gaining exact meaning that is actually represented through author into original

Referencing and paraphrasing
Referencing is also considered as the sourcing that is cited at the time of representing the
views upon topics with assistance of determine knowledge from the view point of other authors’.
