INTRODUCTION
There are different communication styles and there is style of communication which has
to be accepted by the employees and properly understood by them. It has to be properly
understood by the person itself then only the words can be delivered to the people sitting all
around in the auditorium or from one person to another. By understanding own communication
style, the person can examine the weaknesses and strengths regarding. It also helps in
understanding the way of communicating with others. This reduces clashes with others and
provides the opportunity to become good and strong communicator.
PART 1
P1 Range of different communication styles and formats
Communication can be defined as way of talking. For real communication, person's ideas
have to be be transferred in a proper way and has to be understood by other people. This comes
in true communication. All persons talk and this an obvious type of task for everyday. Many
gestures are used when the persons talk to each other. These gestures help in communicating
with people without speaking any word. Different communication styles are there to convey the
messages. The person should be aware of knowing different kind of communication styles to
become more effective so that his points are cleared out publicly. Almost five types of
communication styles can be described such as manipulative, submissive, passive-aggressive,
aggressive and assertive(Mikeska J. Harrison R.L. Carlson L. and Coryn C.L. 2017). These all
styles can be discussed in two days training event. Assertive Style is very effective and worthy
style which is full of self esteem. The limits are known by the persons and the person is
confidence while talking to another. This style is least used by the persons in the society. Here
objectives can be achieved without hurting other person and the person respects another one
having the complete protection of its own rights. They emotionally and socially expressive.
Aggressive style is very loud, threatening and frighting. The person is not at all polite. In passive
style people are untrustworthy and behave sarcastic and remains all the time complaining. With
different communication styles if a person conveys then it doesn't mean that everything becomes
easy. Sometimes interpersonal tax have to be paid in the form of dynamics with the right people.
Effective communication with the colleagues go long run and bring down stress level. The
correct situation and right place should be known for effective communication. If the

communication is in assertive way that doesn't mean that it will always go in the specified way.
The outcome will be satisfactory as the handling has been done in a well manner. Important
point is that this style can be practised from home and can get a honest feedback.

PART 2
P3 Application of problem solving and discuss its importance in planning and running an event.
Problem solving techniques are important for making decisions. All person fix goals for
their own selves, all face challenges in life and for all these reasons problem solving techniques
are necessary. Business has to face challenges and a straightforward tool has to be applied to
solve the problems. Similarly there are various strategies of solving the problems.
Problems can be solved by getting the complete picture of the of that difficulty in the mind as if
what all is going on presently and what will happen in future. Problems contain many
informations which are sometimes useful or should be sometimes should be sometimes ignored.
The problem should always be converted into clear idea as so that the solution can be judged
because the problem contains the pictures, cost-free information and words Afterwards the final
goal can be finalised. Like exactly what the problem wants the person to do. Second step
contains the planning required for the achievement of the goal. This planning helps to figure out
the main reasons hidden behind the problems(Dalgaard N.T. Todd B.K. Daniel S.I. and
Montgomery E. 2016). Thirdly action part is required which guides the person to implement
planning and describes the person's action plan. Person start its planning process and achieve the
goal. This should be done continuously without any kind of barrier. Finally checking is done like
did the the person achieved his goal or not or something is remaining in the process in the end.
Have all questions been answered by the person correctly during problem solving method or not.
Many Strategic Planning is done to frame activities in the organizational practice. The problem
solving techniques includes logical and creative approach towards problems, proper planning
and executing the plans, preparation of objectives for the execution of plans. At Strategic level
values and goals are defined. Strengths, opportunities, threats and weaknesses are determined
and then finally a complete framework of the deployed strategy planning is applied. For all
these steps one has to be a good communicator to understand his team responsibilities and do the
continuous improvement in the team performance.

M2 Problem solving theory by different techniques
Problems can be solved by different techniques:
Understand the problem first : Whosoever it be whether it is a supplier or any attendee bringing
up the problem in the event, just make surety of the problems and rectify it. Before taking it in
hand.
Make the plan : everyone should know their roles and provide good delivery in the plan.
Admit it, if its your fault : It's useless to blame others and make illogical excuses. Just admit
fault and fins the correct solution.
Implement and follow up : Impression is created by following up the solution of the problem.
P4 Application of critical reasoning and your experiences of it when working on a solution
Critical Reasoning is a kind of skill that creates objective and real ideas to concluded
concepts. It helps in synthesising information, comparing different ideas and then giving
conclusions from the extract of knowledge. It is the capability of thinking vastly and clearly like
what should be done and should not be done, what should be believed or what should be
ignored. It is mainly analysing real things from the segment of information. Analysis can be in
different forms. It can be skeptical, rational or unbiased. Critical thinking according to the
experience is self rectified, self driven and disciplined. For eg, a writer through his creative
thinking gathers ideas and makes a story and attends the personalities and motivations of the
characters of the stories(Zhou Z. Shoele K. Adhikari D. Yen J. Webster D. and Mittal R. 2015).
A conclusion reached by the student through explaining the methodology very confidently.
Many type of thinkers can be developed as critical thinkers like advanced thinkers, master
thinkers, beginning thinkers and reflective thinkers. A type of hard and a simple process of
learning is required in development of thinking. A reasonable ,open minded, reflective thinking
is also a critical thinking. It cannot be told as hard kind of thinking, nor it is based on solving
others problems. It is a goal-directed and conceptual type of thinking. One's own thinking is
improved when the other person thinks about another in a manner that clarify his efficiency and
helps in catching the errors of others. It can be defined as the logical connectivity between the
ideas. A critical thinker easily understands the links in between the ideas. Then that thinker
recognise the importance of ideas and arguments. Sometimes errors and inconsistencies occur in
reasoning and through this one can approach problems easily and in a organized manner. Finally
justification is done by putting reflection on values and beliefs. It is currently the capturing the

person's mind in the best possible way so that meaningful result can be found. Then that person
decides the validity related to that point and catches the weaknesses and finally provides
organized reasoning of that topic.
M3 Range of solution Methodologies during preparation of event
Solutions Methodologies can be classified into fix-it or do-it type of scenario:
Fix-it : It means problem which is still existing is not resolved up till now. For example. A short
term solution could be taken out to raise marketing activities of any company.
Do-it : The person wants to achieve of his/her choice is achieved by following the right path. It
needs longer planning to achieve goals and objectives.
Other than this every solution methodology has a thorough and systematic procedure to follow.
Evidences are cleared up to resolve the problem and causes are understood and then finally
possible solution is implemented.
Communication During preparation of event :
a) From where do I Check in?
b) Where can I get drinks and food?
c) When will the event Start?
D2 Applying critical reasoning in preparation of an event
There are six main steps of applying critical reasoning:
Knowledge : Clear understanding of the problem should be there so that right path could be
searched out quickly.
Involvement : When the problem gets detected then another step is to find the comprehensive
solution of the problem. Here information regarding problems is collected and different research
methods are discussed.
Application of the method : This step is a type of linkage between resources and information.
One of the method is mind maps that an solve the problems.
Analyse: The situation is finally analysed after the information is gathered and building linkages.
Synthesis : In this step Consideration is done on the information.
Taking Action : This final step involves the complete evaluation of the problem.

PART 3
P5 The importance of team dynamics in the success and/or failure of group work
The forces that decides the direction of team's performance and its behaviour in an
unconscious and psychological way is called team dynamics. They can be good or can be bad
which decides the nature of the team work. For working life team dynamics are very important.
It has a big effect on life such as staff rates are retained, individual and team performances are
improved, organisation's profitability is measured, people like their work or not that is
measured. Team dynamics improves company's reputation. But the these dynamics are ignored
in most of the cases which leaves an impact on the team or the team work is effected. These can
be considered as invisible forces which get operated in between different groups. It effects the
behaviour of the team strongly and in a complex manner. Suppose there is a team of six people
of good friends. Now the the friendship of these friend can go in positive direction or in negative
direction. While the other members of the team may feel omitted, which can divide the team into
two. If the friends have a strong bond of friendship between them then this group can go a long
run and can become a an example of long term friendship(Baranda, N. and Cruz A.J. eds. 2017).
The forces that analyse the team dynamics are roles of members in the team, layout of office, the
personality layout of each member, through technology via email etc., organisational culture like
cars of the company which can be the status symbol and problem solving strategies. Team
dynamics can be examined by these forces which can be applied in a positive manner wherever
possible. The main aim of team dynamics lies in building team with effectiveness and positivity.
If the team meets the goal or achieve the objectives in an prompt manner then only one can say a
better team has been built up. At every stage of life whether its a community, social
organizations or any kind of work place team is always required. Each and every team is
different in its working manner. But the dynamics of team which includes the balance between
the relationship and task, potential of team and integration of team's behavioural performance.
To retain team performance task relationship balance is very important. Things should be done
in a healthier way and the members should know how to carry out the tasks in a better way.
Analysing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, performance and challenges correctly is the
plus point of the team.
Analysing strengths of the team and grabbing opportunities should be done on time. There are
some factors which help the team to build up in a proper manner. Together the steps planned for
7

action have to be selected and their potential should get uncovered. Then goals of the team
should be identified very quickly to implement the action plans so that the work should get
started on time. Unwanted conversation should be avoided and the availability of resources
should be checked by good communication between the team members. These all steps makes
the team more strong and constructive. A constructive and a dynamic team always focus on the
accomplishment of their goals and objectives and keeps moving towards its establishment. It
focus on the enhancement of productivity and good communication. Everybody in the team
listens to every person. Face to face communication is improves connectivity among the team
members. More importantly team member should get valued, so that his confidence rises up and
the member feels more committed towards his task. Team members should not hide their
deficiencies(Carlos-Júnior, L. Zilberberg C. Garrido A. Casares F. Creed J.C. Calderon E. and
Oigman-Pszczol S. 2018). An impelling team leader always assess team's limitations and
strength. According to a psychologist team passes through four stages : forming, storming,
norming and finally forming. For an effective team, interaction among the team members is very
important. For this craft days should be organized. This gives chance to members to share their
ideas in non competitive manner. Individual's achievements should be shared among the team
members. So that indirectly happiness is shared among all members. If some kind of important
discussion is being carried out then it is good for the whole team.
M4 Analysis of Team dynamics and mentioning roles of group members:
Dynamics of the team should be psychological and unconscious forces that put an a
positive effect on the performance and behaviour of the team. Team members of the team should
share their ideas so that knowledge is spread among all of them. A team with positive vibes is
easy to place. Team members with creative mind and good decision makers make their team
more vibrant and exclusive. They tackle their problem quickly and possess a team spirit. Each
member have different roles like they focus on communication between members, pay attention
on the problems, discuss their feedbacks etc.
D3 Critical evaluation of performance and contribution to the team :
Evaluation of the performance is very important which includes reflective nature and
positive attitude. Performance is assessed opposite to job specifications and a file is maintained.
Then expectation's of the higher level is searched so that we can meet it's expectation. After this
feedback is taken from other people and evaluation is done in proper manner. We have towork

like ream player and focus on our goals and objectives. Performance of all employees should be
efficient to so that complete procedure is followed in a systematic manner and team values are
not loosen up. Contribution towards our team should be in a professional manner so that not
even point remains untouched in any type of task.
PART 4
P7 Importance of Continuous Professional Development(CPD) and its Contribution
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is kind of process of following and
representing the talent, experience and knowledge that a person gain during work both formally
and informally is called Continuous Professional Development (CPD). It is a complete process
of experiencing, learning and applying of what has been learnt. CPD is development of a person
as a professional by documenting a folder. The person can manage its own CPD on a regular
basis. The main function comes in the reflection of the learning and before that there is a
recording and review of the training process. It also need a membership from any professional
leader. Its main aim is to document any person's training and remain updated with that skills and
knowledge. It is useful in many ways like it gives the complete summary of member's
development to date, give the recording of achievements and how much anybody has
approached. It gives direction to one's career and helps building career. CPD helps in admiring
capabilities and skills. CPD opens the gate of development in near future of any person. If any
person's CV is required then CPD helps in providing a brief scenario of that CV or any kind of
interview. It helps in possible career development and tries in bringing career changes. It also
presents professional upright towards employees and clients. The importance of CPD is it
protects professional , employer and public career. It helps in the upbringing of person's
capabilities to keep pace with the running standards of the same field. It makes the surety of that
all knowledge and skills are delivered in professional service to the clients, customers and other
communities. But the knowledge delivered should remain updated and relevant. Professional
trends and conditions keep changing and so the professionals should be aware of all these
changes. This pace should remain faster and this is a rule that if someone just keep standing then
he left behind(Zografos K. Alves M.A. and Oliveira M. 2015 April.). So it is important to remain
updated with present knowledge. CPD also makes contribution to the team. The professional
become more efficient to the team and workplace. This CPD gives race to any person's career

and that person can acquire any big position in the team. That member can manage, lead,
coach,or mentor others.
M5 research into motivational theories and how they can improve employee's performance:
In a research project a topic is chosen and various ideas are discussed. Then data is
gathered by talking to other employees like what topics have to be considered by the team
members or the employees. Then comes the writing part which involves spending time in any
library with the employees or other team members. Finally the interest and knowledge is shown
by the members.
D4 Usage of CPD within organisations
Continuing Professional Development is necessary for experience, knowledge, skill
development and initial training. It is a type of function which is learned and applied through
ongoing basis. Can be said as a procedure of reflecting and recording development and learning
which manages one's own development.

CONCLUSION:
It can be concluded that there are many ways of communication styles and the person can
communicate its ideas and thoughts in any way. But the best way of communication is being
assertive as its outcomes are really pleasant and favourable. All persons need to identify their
styles in a very effective manner. This report has also shown that how team dynamics helps the
team in achieving its goals and objectives. Through team dynamics every member of the team
get motivated and their skills and talent enhancement is there. Every organisation be it a
business, social,NGO has a team and for that team some dynamics are required for the positive
results. Avoiding laziness of the team, identifying team in a better manner through better
communication, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the team, perceiving goals are some
of the dynamics that should be listed by the team leader. Potential power is main factor of the
team which should be identified to achieve the goal. It should be kept in mind that the team is
not going on the wrong track by properly listening and responding to the members and resolving
the problems created among the members by the conflicts and presence of demotivation.
