INTRODUCTION
Professional practices refer to work and conduct of someone from specific profession, it
may set standards of ethics, insurance, competence, performance, training and so on that will be
met to remain within profession. Different types of research methods are available for
professional practices, as it help to improve the knowledge and work practices of researcher
effectively. The aim of professional practices is to maintain and direct safe competent in research
practices. The current report is based on implementation of green technology in small & medium
size Indian foundry. This study is designed to develop critical understanding of formal methods
of investigate and justify proper methods of research conduct by researcher. It explains the
continuous professional development plan, reflective piece of work and learning log.
Furthermore, this study clarifies the background of research, rationally, aim and SMART
objectives. It justifies research methods, Literature review and project management plan. It also
defines the risk management log and ethics, social, professional and other consideration while
conducting research.
PART ONE-
Continuous professional development
I would like to defined my past achievements, begin with my academic background, I
was accomplished S.S.C in 2005 and H.S.C in 2007 from Gujarat higher secondary education
Board. After passing the schooling year, I did my further study in Mechanical engineering and
barred first class from Charotar association of technology, in 2011. In 2014, I was completed my
Master of technology from Charotar University of technology and science. I work so hard to
achieve my career objectives and to stay at the top in class. After all above things I started my
professional career as working as Lecturer in D.A diploma in Engineering technology,
Mahemadabad from 1/ 7/ 2014 to July 2015. Thereafter, I would like to switch to another job
role in Narayan shastri institute of technology, Ahemdabad where I begin working as lecturer. I
gained greater knowledge and good experience in my filed that help in further career. I waas able
to work in team of people, that help to completed task effectively. The above statement define
my current experience as employee.
Due to advancement in all areas, other fields like research, management, IT and many
more are needed person along with some good technical knowledge. It makes me drive towards
technological field, and after considering the fact I decided to move my education further and

take up MSc project management from UK. It defined my further career growth, that help to take
my professional career at top. In simple words, the technological advancement drive me towards
selecting my future career goal, that mentioned above.
The main reason behind choosing UK for further study because their qualifications and
higher education level is well recognized by academics and workers worldwide. Here, students
get the change to develop knowledge, connections, skills and critical thinking to drive forward
their careers. The degree which I got from UK education institute is precious it recognized by
international universities, government bodies and top employers, it helps to create wider number
of opportunity to work within different multinational organizations. It caters the changes like
large choice in selecting field of institution as well as study, short period of courses that helps to
reduce accommodations costs, English language help to develop the best language abilities as it
is very essential in international digital time period. Along with this, there are many reasons
behind I chose UK for further study. Teachers in UK institutes interact with provision of
combing various subjects into single course. UK is one of the most popular destination in world,
people come to study higher education, the institutes enrolling 500,00 international students each
year. Excellent quality postgraduate study chances is also accessible at majority of UK
universities, with some academic institutes offer sponsorship to go tier 4 visas. UK's university is
the best way to expand existing knowledge and enhance learning skills rather than before. It
gives opportunity to meet with new people, enjoy new experience and experience a new culture.
But due to lack of communication skills I cannot be able to communicate effectively with
other while studying at university. It defines my weakness that will impact in further growth.
Cultural diversity is the another reason behind I chose UK to study more, they offer
cultural diversity environment that help to make me able to experience multicultural environment
in which I have the opportunity to increase my knowledge and learn different languages.
UK's universities offer merit based scholarship programs to its students and funding
chances that support in my further study and cost of living, which is quite beneficial. I get plenty
of support at universities, and opportunity to experience great candidates lifestyles. Whatever my
interest, there are vast range of societies and diverse social life on offer. 50,000 courses in more
than 25 topic area is available within UK universities among which I can choose accordant to my
interest. The high cost of living is one of threat that affect further study aim in UK university.

The benefits of choosing higher education in UK is that courses are mostly shorter than
other nations in world, it helps to reduce overall tuition fees. It is the best place to study, they
have multicultural community, with rich diversity of languages, cultures and faiths. I will find
widely strong transport links, international sporting championships and other things that enhance
current learning experience and help in developing the new ones. Within UK, universities advise
all students what standard of English is needed for their course, most course provider will inquire
students to demonstrate proficiency in English. UK is also considered to travel to for reason of
education as well as earning. Generations of global students have come to this nation for its
education, it means that British universities have years of experience in working with global
students. For all above reasons, I decided to chose to study in UK because it is beneficial and
helpful for me.
In UK there are numerous universities available, it is quite difficult for me to choose the
best one. After conducting depth research through several universities in country, I came to final
results that the Northumbria University is appropriate for my further study as they offer industry
centred courses through which I can acquire project chances alongside systems delivered by
industry & academic professionals. This things will provide me theoretical and practical
knowledge. The Northumbria university is located in Newcastle upon Tyne in England, UK, it
described itself as comprehensive university, providing 30 of Britain's 32 frequently chosen
academic courses. It specializes in, business and law, computing, built environment, arts &
Design, applied healthcare, teacher education and sports science. The second reason for which I
chose to study in this university is that there is educatee hub facility through which I will obtain
fantastic student experience which will able me to acquire accustomed adapt to educational
institution and surrounding to life there.
In Northumbria University range of courses available, but I chose to study MSC project
management, it helps me to create wider management and leadership skills for university system.

Those mentioned skills are very important and effective for people to maintain it's their
growth factors. This creates more effectiveness for becoming successful in getting further
learnings and education in mechanical engineering. As per the PDP some skills are very weak in

that required to improve all those skills by using some action which are mentioned in log of
achievement which is the list of 20 separate activities. Those skills which are needs to
improvement which are Strategic planning, Inductive and deductive reasoning, Project
management, Decision making, Interpretation skills and Commercial awareness. Those
mentioned skills are needs some improvement in effective manner. If those are not meet and
improve properly then its create negative impact in the future. For that here is mention some
skills which are needs for improvement in better manner (Yamada, 2015). At the time of
improving commercial awarenesses, I have little problem which is about the selection of
websites. Through that I am not able to get proper and effective work.
On the other side, here is also faced problem when take any decision in each and every
decision which is based on situation. In that faces problem because situations are suddenly
generated and make proper work and its growth factors. It is very important for mechanical
engineer to take best decisions in situations for solve that in proper manner. For improving
decision-making skills here is need to develop works and make the best decision for improve
mistakes which are happens at workplace in effective manner (Pavese, 2016). With the help of
PDP personal development plan and log activities are reflects various actions or management
plan through all those activities are improved where exactly needs for improve those in effective
manner by creating work.
There is also mention those skills in that I am expert and not need any actions. But for
keeping those better follow those actions in effective manner. Like: time management skills are
very important and effective and manage work by dividing proper priorities of work. With the
help of this, work is completed on time and creates higher growth factors. For that make proper
schedule for work by dividing work and time like which work is more important and which to
complete first and on time (Coeckelbergh, 2015). This creates higher responsibility. By
improving and maintaining all those skills helps to achieve goals and objective of personnel.
This help to take education in Mechanical engineering at UK. This helpful for create higher
opportunities for education because create advanced management skills in effective manner.

PART 3- RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Topic: “ To evaluate benefits of implementation of green technology in small and medium scale
Indian Foundry.
Background of research
Green technology is encompassing term, it deals with using technology and science in
order to prevent environment. It helps to save nature from harm and damage, implementation of
green technology is quite essential (Prasad, Khanduja and Sharma, 2016). The motive of green
technology is to conserve nature, reduce the negative impact that humans and Indian foundry
have on it. In simple, term it is also known as sustainable technology, takes into account short
and long term affect something has on environment. Energy efficiency, renewable resources,
recycling, and health & safety concerns go into creating of green technology or product. Planet
suffered rapid changes in climate that include maximizing of seawater, ground water reserves,
fast spread of macro-parasitise, rising sea water levels and many other things. Green technology
give new hope to reduce effect of pollution and weather changes. There are many business
available within world, which create air, land and water pollution, it directly affects nature and
environment.
Rational
Environment safety is the main concern of government in all over the world, they want to
protect beauty of nature from harmful factors. Green technology help to counteract negative side
effect of pollution on earth, it is used to breathe life back into harmed ecosystem. It provides the
lot of advantages to nature and also for greener & clean human lifestyle. The main reason to
choose this topic is to determine the reason behind implementation of green technology, its
concept, benefits and impact. The project is helpful to students, they have chance to learn more
about green technology which is quite beneficial in further career growth.

This study explain, the reason behind choosing this subject, background of research, and
research methods use in order to achieve objectives and aims. Furthermore, it justifies the aim
and SMART objectives with outline of measurement and deliverables criteria of work. This

Research methodologies
Research methods-
Research method is effective approach, it helps in evaluating whole validity as well as
credibility of research study, it divided into two categories, qualitative and quantitative research
methods. In this research, researcher chose qualitative research approach in order to effectively
investigate the process of implementing green technology within small and medium size Indian
foundry. It helps to find out descriptive insight and good inferences which is easy to drawn.
Research philosophy-
It is the another component of research methodologies, research philosophy refer to
effective methods as it is belief of person to analyse specific information. It is divided into two
variables interpretivism and positivism method. Researcher in study adopt interpretivism
research philosophy approach that help to determine individual interest in study. It also support
to evaluate the significance of implementing green technology in medium & small scale Indian
Foundry.
Research approach-
Research method is the best procedure as it helps to evaluate detailed plan to perform
particular task by determining several issues with research project. It is distinguished into two
categories, inductive and deductive method. Researcher of this study adopt inductive research
method because it helps to investigate how green technology is implement in small and medium
scale Indian foundry. It allows generating valid and relevant theories from set of essential data.
Research design-
Research design is recognized as blueprint to keep out specific work in systematic and
orderly manner. It is distinguished into two methods like descriptive and exploratory research
design approach. In this study researcher chose descriptive method instead of exploratory
because it supports to evaluate challenges linked with implementing green technology in small
and medium size Indian foundry. Descriptive method is only used when researcher want to
observe behaviour of specific topic in depth.
Data collection-

It is the procedure by which researcher of this study collects relevant information and
data from all authentic and suitable sources to find out the appropriate answers in order to meet
with aim and objectives. Data collection is divided into two essential categories that is secondary
and primary data. Primary source is gathered through experiments, interviews, in depth
investigation etc. Secondary information is collected through newspaper, book, articles, blogs
etc. researcher of this study, adopt secondary and primary source of data gathering to critically
research benefits of green technology implementation in Indian Foundry.
Sampling-
In term of research, sampling is the procedure of selecting group of individuals taken
from wider population for measurement. Sampling method is distinguished into two elements
non probabilistic and probabilistic sample approach. it can be representative of available
population to assure that researcher generalizes findings from research sample to population. In
this research, researcher adopt random sampling method where 20 managers of Aquarius
Fibreglas private Limited were randomly selected.
Data analysis-
It is the process of transforming, systematically applying logical techniques to illustrate,
evaluate and condense data. As important elements of assuring data integrity is effective and
accurate analysis of research findings. It is divided into SPSS tools and thematic analysis, in this
research, researcher uses thematic analysis method where each theme is evaluated in order to
measure issue and recommendation associated with green technology implementation within
Aquarius Fibreglas private Limited.

Concept of green technology-
According to Cohen, Lobel and Perakis, (2015) green technology is usage of science on
nature to preserve assets and environment, it helps to control the negative impact of Indian
foundry and human activities. Local and national government plays vital role in developing and
improving green technology with creating different policies. Hottenrott, Rexhäuser and
Veugelers, (2016) stated that green technology is essential to prevent land, air and water
pollution, but it creates many difficulties for business to adopt within existing operation.

As per view of Francis and Jensen, (2017) green technology impact on business
positively as it help to sustain companies for longer. With the help of this procedure,
organizations are able to contribute in CSR. It helps in recycle and manage waster materials,
permits to used for beneficial reasons, this technology is quite beneficial as it helps in waste
management.
Vijayaraghavan, (2016) elucidated that green technology make negative impact along
with the positive one, it required a lot of efforts that made by companies in Indian Foundry for
implementing green technology within over all business functions.

Discussed by De Stefano, Montes-Sancho and Busch, (2016) while implementing green
technology within small and medium size companies, different types of challenges faced by
management that affect growth as well as success of businesses. Low understanding and
awareness among workers is considered as one of the biggest challenge faced by firm during
green technology implementation.
Rauer and Kaufmann, (2015) stated that lack of planning is the major challenge faced by
companies while implementing green technology, that affect overall profitability of businesses.
Recommendation strategies to overcome barriers in green technology implementation-
According to Khan and et.al., 2018 to overcome challenges faced by firm when they
implement green technology, they are recommended to generate awareness about this technology
within existing workers, it helps to develop their understanding better than before. Through
training companies are able to generate green technology awareness among their workforce.
Justification of relevant journal
The justification is based on green technology and its benefits taken from relevant source,
it defines the green technology concept and its advantages. The purpose of this technology is to
reduce use of waste materials, a lot of recyclable things allowed people to create sculptures, plant
fertilizer, fuel and furniture. Different types of benefits is defined through this source that help to
prevent environment from harmful things. Green technology help in purifying water, air,
conserving energy and rejuvenating ecosystems. Through use of this technique tress are
replanted, waste is recycled and managed effectively. It assures that affect ecosystems is capable
to begin again and this period remains conserved. Indian foundry make air pollution through
gaseous and suspended particulate matter.

The aim for conducting this research is to determine the benefits of implementing green
technology within small and medium size Indian foundry. A case study: Aquarius Fibreglas P
Ltd.

 To identify the impact and benefits of green technology implementation within Aquarius

 To evaluate the Challenges faced during implementation of green technology.
 To recommend strategies to overcome barriers in green technology implementation.

Project plan is formal document created to guide control of project activities, it is the key
to successful work and is essential document that require to created when beginning any research
or business project.
Cost-
This support in outlining cost associated with conducting research, carrying out different
activities and task of project. The total cost related with carrying out specific project is £ 2500.
the project manager will decide the actual costs of project according to the activities which they
divided into many categories.
Scope-
Scope of carrying out this project is very wide because it helps in identifying factors
which outcomes in benefits of implementing green technology within Aquarius Fibreglas P Ltd.
It is useful and beneficial in determining barriers and effective suggestions linked with
implementation of green technology within company.

Time to complete the project will help management in implementation green technology,
time spent is required to carry each activity in project plan. It contributes in outlining the
particular work and determining how much time is needed to complete specific task. The
desirable time to accomplish project is 15 week.

risks while conducting out research study. It helps administration in developing the effective plan
that help to address relevant problems like limited assets, lack of human resource and time

Ethical issue: Informed consent is one of the major ethical issue which is faced by all the
scholar at the time of conducting the research. As it get difficult for the scholar to get the person
who is having the good sort of the knowledge and clear about the topic before giving any sort of
the consent to the scholar by any means. So the scholar has to make sure that they used to take
the consent of respondent before hand itself. Another ethical issue was to keep the high level of

confidentiality in regards to the information which has been gather from the consent. As
information used to contain the personal information of the respondent also. Any information
shared with any one will be against the privacy right of the individual.
Legal Issue: The biggest legal issue which was related to the research was about any sort
of the fraud activity in the research and also at the time of publishing it. As Data manipulation

and idea used to strictly prohibited the legal issue in conducting the research. So the scholar has

Social issue: One of the biggest social issue which is related with the research is the
sexual abuse, as scholar has to make sure that at time of collecting the primary and the secondary
data from the market the scholar has not used any sort of the words or the content which used to
promote the sexual promotion in among the respondent. As a result the scholar has taken the help
of the tutor to get checked the questionnaire before giving it to the scholar. Another social issue
which was there with the research was the religion, as any content of the research used to drive
the research on religious is against the social issue. So the scholar has to make sure that there is
no influence of the religious at the time of conducting the research in the organization.
Security issue: Security issue which was linked with the research was the data breach.
This issue was related the copy of the confidential data which was collected in the organization
for the purpose of conducting the research. As it is the responsibility of the Scholar to keep all
the data safe. As data used to contain the private data of the respondent also. Scholar has to make
sure that no one authorized can do so. Other security problem which is related to conduct of the
research are the issue such as hacking, jamming, malicious software, sniffing, spoofing, and
identity theft of the different document and the information used by the scholar.
Professional issues- it is related to the transparency of information gathered by
researcher. To make information secure and safe, researcher will use different types of tools and
software.
CONCLUSION
From above analysis it has been concluded that green technology implementation is very
essential within Indian Foundry. It provides benefits to company as it help to sustain business for

longer. It has been summarized that with the help of considering past and current experience the
CPD is prepared effectively. Furthermore, with the help of risk management log all the risk is
reduced through using appropriate measures. Researcher considers ethical, security, professional
and legal factors that help to provide better results at the end of this study.
