Personal Pitch.

Introduction
■ Core competencies are very important in a person’s life as they help the individual in
achieving the success in life that they actually wants. It is important for an individual to
continuously develop new skills so that they can have a skill set which will make them a
valued professional. In my opinion a skill set is important for every individual and also
it is very important to analyse those skills from time to time so that the individual can
also make sure that their weaknesses are not hindering them from achieving those goals.
In the given report my own path towards my success is also given and the goals that I
have fixed for myself in order to achieve those goals are also given.

SWOT Analysis
■ In order to identify my skills and weaknesses I will do SWOT analysis of myself as it
will tell about the strengths and weaknesses of my own ( Escamilla and et. al., 2017. ).
Also it will help me to identify the upcoming opportunities and threats that will help me
in building my future. I opted for SWOT analysis so that I can make sure that I overcome
my weaknesses and identify my strengths so that I can take full advantage of them in
improving and developing my personality as well as my skill set. The main motive of this
analysis is personal development and development of personal skills. In order to develop
my overall management skills I opted for MBA as a post graduation degree which helped
me a lot in my overall development as it not only enhanced my management skills but
also helped me in gaining the knowledge about the aspects of entrepreneurship, social
and ethical responsibilities, human resource, marketing, finance. Understanding my areas
were I lack and my own skill set is the reason for this analysis.

Strengths.
■ These are the skill in which I am good and I can take it as my advantage. The first skill
that I am perfect in is time management. I am good in scheduling my time ahead of my
task which help me to manage my tasks according to my requirements. It also helps me
in making changes as last minute changes does not bother me as I already have enough
time. Time management is a skill that is used almost everywhere and is mostly
important when I ave my exams ( Gao, L., Li, B. and Gao, L., 2017.). My second
strength is empathy, I take is as my strength because I have the ability to feel what that
other person is feeling. That is what empathy means “putting yourself in someone else
shoes”. it is an important quality which I think every human being should have. It also
helps me in human resource management as I can totally understand what the employee
is feeling and how it should be treated.

weaknesses
■ These are the weaknesses that are hindering my growth in professional life. I want to overcome
these weaknesses by working on them. My very first weakness is my lack of communication
skills. Communication is not only about taking but also about listening. Lack of communication
skills affects my professional life in a bad manner as I am not being able to speak what I actually
wants to say. I am unable to make sure that others understand what I am trying to say. It is
essential in a corporate world to speak effectively(Guan and et. al., 2021.). My second weakness
is that I am not a good team player. As I am lacking in my communication skills I sometimes feel
uncomfortable in working within teams. It also affects my self confidence as I am not being able
to express myself correctly in front of the team members. Different prospective and personalities
of different people are tough for me to understand and I myself is unable to express myself to
others. Lack of team management skills hinder my growth prospects and are making me a little
conscious about myself so I want to change it as soon as possible. It I important for not only me
but for everyone to identify their weaknesses and try to convert them into strengths.

opportunities
■ Opportunities are the tasks that come in my way of learning and if I grab them on the
right time I will be able to achieve my goals more effectively and efficiently. Currently I
am looking forward to an opportunity of attending a lecture that is all about the Art Of
Communicating. It’s a very good opportunity for those who are not good in
communication and willing to improve this skill (Lowe, M.L. and Haws, K.L., 2017.).
As lack of communication skills is one of my weaknesses so I am working hard and
looking for opportunities that can convert this weakness into my strength. In my office
there is going to be a contest which will add some extra points in the account of
employee and the employee that has highest number of points will be star employee of
the year. I am actively preparing for that contest so that I can win the contest. It will not
only be good for my career but will also help me in building my self confidence again.

Threats
■ My biggest threat in recent times is to get over my self consciousness and focus more
on my contest as my other colleagues are also having almost equal points as I have. I
need to win that contest so that I can become star employee of the year. One of my
colleague is specially preparing very consciously about the contest and his growth is
visible to all of us. I really have to work hard in order to make sure that I win the contest
no matter how hard I have to work (Memon, A.A. and Oad Rajput, S.K., 2020). Other
threat is that my office is going through a hard time and they are thinking about cut offs.
I need to make sure that I am not on that list by my hard work and my dedication. I am
working overtime because of cut offs my office is understaffed right now. I am working
even in nights which is adversely affecting my health and I don’t want to take leaves at
this point of time otherwise it will be very bad for my professional growth.

CONCLUSION
■ From the given report my experiences about my professional life and my goal setting
activities . Core competencies are very important for an individual to analyse so that
they can polish their skills and make sure that those skills help them in their
professional life. A SWOT analysis is also being done so that I can take a look at my
strengths as well as my weaknesses and can make sure that those weaknesses does not
affect my growth. I continuously make sure that I work on my weaknesses and develop
new skills. I have also mentioned my path towards my success and how I fulfilled my
goals and objectives.
