MAIN BODY
The importance of teamwork and how you can achieve group aims and outcomes in a multi-
cultural team environment.
I want to reflect my experience and study about the importance of team work and how we
can achieve group aims and outcomes in a multi- cultural team environment (Pugh and Broome,
2020). For a group assignment we were divided into several teams and these teams worked
coordinating with each other at different levels. I was very excited about the team I got. Though
the tasks and objectives that we were assigned were quite frustrating but the support from the
team members made it easy for me. There were times when I was feeling demotivated and
stressed but along with the few members and help from the senior executives, I decided to work
harder and overtime to catch up with my work ans eventually I was successful in doing that. I'm
feeling quite satisfied with the efforts that I put in and the contribution that was able to make for
my team. The things that I was worried about were the deadlines of the tasks but eventually I
was able to provide high quality work for my team before the deadline. Some challenges that we
faced were the coordination. It was due to lack of proper communication and planning relate to
the vision and shortage of adequate resources and less time (Sanyal and Hisam, 2018). Due to
insufficient time that was provided, I did not have enough time to deeply evaluate and proof read
the work that I did and this was the case for all of the team members.
In the end we were able to ensure the desired result for the company. I think the main
reason for the success of our team was the division of work on the basis of people's strengths and
abilities that they have in the particular areas. I found that the organization was facing various
problems related to the HR department and its marketing function. The company's vision is to
established itself strongly in the competitive market but due to improper marketing techniques, it
is not able to cement its place in the highly competitive market. I realised that a detailed SWOT
analysis can be very helpful in analysing the performance of a company. With the help of SWOT
analysis, I identified various strengths of the company that can power it to achieve its goals and
the issues that needs to be solved in order to create frictionless operations for the company.
I learned that for an effective business operation and overall success of a company,
teamwork is the key (Scholl, 2018). Teamwork and coordination is quite important especially
when addressing major issues. I will remember that a competitive market always put new

challenges and to tackle them various steps are needed to be taken to prevent the loss (Bourgault
and Goforth, 2021). Moreover, I will continue to help people identify their strengths and even
suggest using the 'Belbin team roles' framework with longer projects. I learned that sometimes
we should not just agree to the points because it is a group think but rather confront them if I feel
like so that I do not have to face challenges and adjust with what I did not agree.
