Profit first than human welfare
Every country is trying to attain a better position in GDP raking in order to attract more foreign
investment in their country and therefore they overlook one of the most important aspects which
id human welfare (Arjoon, Turriago-Hoyos, and Thoene, 2018). In countries like US, UK,
Australian, and other European countries, it has been seen that government has offer power in
the handle of private companies to regulate life of the common individual. Private companies are
established with the only purpose of profit earning and therefore will not think about the welfare
of the common individual. In addition politicians and other bureaucrats care more about their
position and power as compared to human welfare because they are directly or indirectly linked
with big business individuals. Present economic system has organized in such a way that system
will focus on generating more and do not focus on basic requirement of the common individuals
(Giuliani, 2018). In fact, they have linked these basic human requirements with trade to generate
money it may be food, shelter or water. Australia is considered as one of the developed countries
in the world with a stable economy but still, around 13.7% population of Australia is still living
below the poverty line. It seems that political system is more interested in investing time and
efforts on business sectors as compared to human welfare because they believe that if a country
has to grow further, it is better to focus on profit which will offer public welfare (Across, 2018).
In some countries, welfare is linked with health and education while in some countries welfare is
linked with economic growth.
Way of improving
As per Catholic Social Teaching principles, all the individuals are created equal in the eyes of
God and therefore they must have birthright to be treated equally along with full freedom to
practice their beliefs in this world. This principle is based on gender freedom, sexuality, and
independency of civilization. As per the study, it has been seen that world is divided into two
sections poor and rich (Beauchamp and Heron, 2019). Poverty and hunger are connected with
injustice and often make life of these sections of people very difficult. Although all programs are
developed from people-centric point of view but still need of greed has overtaken place of
humanity in this world. At present world, people are mostly treated as commodities in order to
generate profit or revenue by almost all business hubs.
Globally address
An organization operating on international level must understand that humans are an important
part of business circulation and therefore must not be exploited in order to earn more profit. They
must understand that human are not goods which is being connected. A Catholic Social Teaching
principle ensures that human need must be put in front as compared to profit by organizations
(Wolcott, 2018). Every organization must understand this basic concept that profit generation is
the key motive in order to remain sustainable in this dynamic business environment but it must
not be compromised with human values.

In this situation, one of the best options for an organization is to bring change in their basic or
foundation value of the organization in which management will convey to their stakeholder that
they have changed their key objective to human-centric and then focus on revenue generation.
These human value principles help them to believe that their business operation is for improving
the lives of common individuals and not for earning capital (Beauchamp and Heron, 2019). In
addition, management of the organization must introduce CST principles in their training
sessions in which employees will be made aware of the role and responsibilities towards welfare
of humans. In this training session, all the individuals associated with the organization will go
through both practical and theoretical aspects in order to understand that it is important to put
human values first then focusing on sources of generating money. In addition, organization must
try to introduce a development program in which people from all poor communities will be
involved in order to attain positive coordination environment within the organization. These
activities are very important in order to bring change in the thinking process of the organization
because focusing on human value is not enough (Bolton, Steinitz, and Talla, 2018).
Address locally
On local level organization must understand that human values are more important for
businesses which are operating on local level because they are functioning in specific
community. Therefore their outcome is totally dependent on the impression created by
organization on community. In this situation organizations must motivate their employees to
bring issues related to their people belong to poor and vulnerable community in front of
management. These sections of community are always suffering from various issues such as
food, education health and shelter. This strategy will help management to connect human values
with business operations which will provide them necessary opportunity to solve these issues by
directly participating in this program (Boyd et al., 2018). In addition organization will take help
of local people associated with this community to keep updating about recent changes in the
community. This program must not be part of CSR activities which most of the organization are
bounded with. It must be the key objective of the organization in order to put human value in
front as compared to money.
Professional community
People living in poor and vulnerable community are in state to earn their basic meal and in such
situation if business organization will charge more prices from them. These people will not be
able to even fulfill their basic needs. In such situation, organization must develop a strategic
business partner in the form of local business community which is associated with the social
issue it may be food, shelter, education, healthcare and so on. Organization will provide all kind
of support to these local community it may be financial, technology as well as manpower to send
a clear message that organization is bound to take care of the community in which they are

operating their business. This strategy can be quoted under the name-giving back to the
community (Hoover and Douglas, 2018). This will help local community to make optimize use
of available resources and eliminate the chances of wastage in the business operation. In this
way, resources will be equally distributed among all the individuals living in that particular
community. Education is always considered one of the most important factors in being stability
in the life of every individual within that particular community because it provides them the
facility to understand the difference between right and wrong. By offering education support to
this poor section of people in order to make their life better, organization will be able to put their
human value strategy as a key objective.
Advocacy
Making local business community as strategic partner will help the organization to generate their
positive image in the eyes of the community in which they are operating. People will feel that
organization are considered them are part of their organization and are taking every necessary
step to improve the life of these people living in this society. This will offer sustainability
platform to the organization in this dynamic business environment where survival of
organization has become very difficult.
