Pollution rates in India have recently drawn global attention. Particularly air pollution
has grown to the leading health catastrophe in India. Air pollution has been the major
contributing factor to the diseases in the Asian country. Both the rural and urban population
are affected directly by air pollution. However, the causative agents are heterogeneous. Air
pollution exposes most infants to premature and avoidable deaths. Conversely, air pollution is
not only a health concern as it also impacts their economy negatively. Research carried out by
the World Bank reviled that due to the menace of air pollution India losses 3 percent of its
GDP. According to (Abraham, 2018) economic losses on labor due to air pollution amounts
to $55.39 billion. The latter reflects to the funds used to finance health-related complications
mainly. Despite India having a small agricultural sector, it is evident that the product of the
industry has drastically dropped. The research on this crucial and critical topic will foster my
knowledge of the effects and extent of air pollution and after that devise ways that can be
used to mitigate the impact. The insights on the research will aid my long-term role of
impacting positively on the society in a move to regulate and permanently reduce
spontaneous air pollution.
To aid my research, I will be indeed of relevant secondary data, for me I will employ
both public sources and websites information. I the case of the web page I will make use of
the Indian times, and on the public source perspective, I will make use of the government
statistics. I will make access to government statistics on the health records and reports linked
to air pollution.
The secondary sources are going to provide answers to questions such as:
