1. Introduction
The paper mainly reflects on “Aussie Vacancies” which is one of the travel agencies that
is mainly specialized in providing high quality of catering accommodation within Australia. The
company recently identified that there is a growing demand of having online booking services.
As the organization does not have a website therefore Aussies Vacancies decided to implement
an internet-based booking system. The online booking system will further be linked to the
present booking system that will contain important credentials. Moreover, the company wants its
management to send the various types of targeted information to various customers on properties
which are likely to be of interest to them. As the organization have small IT department,
therefore the organization contracted with E-con for developing the internet-based system which
will further be managed with the help of PRINCE2 structure of the project.
In this paper, proper discussion on the various phases of the project life cycle is done.
The paper also analyzes the strength, weaknesses, opportunities as well as threats of the
developed system. In addition to this, the entire charter which contains information about the
budget and time of the project is also created. Moreover, the paper showcases stakeholder
register and network diagram.
2. Discussion on different phases of the project life cycle
The project life cycle mainly refers to a four-step procedure that is mainly utilized by the
project managers while moving through different stages of the project completion. The different
phases of the project life cycle are listed below:
Initiation phase: During the first of the phase of the project, a business issue or problem
is identified. It is found that a feasibility study is mainly conducted for successfully investigating

each option of the project for addressing the project objectives such that a final solution can be
determined (Badewi 2016). After getting approval on the best option, the major deliverables of
the groups are determined such that the approval get sought by the project manager for moving
successful within the detailed planning phase.
Planning phase: In the planning phase of the project, the project solution is developed
further in detail such that proper steps needs to be taken for meeting the objectives of the project
successfully. In this specific step, the team mainly identifies all the different types of work that
needs to be done (Hornstein 2015). In addition to this, it is found that the resources as well as
requirements which are needed for the project are mainly identified in this specific phase.
Furthermore, a project plan is mainly created that further outlines different types of activities,
dependencies as well as timeframes. The project manager mainly coordinates with the budget
preparation by giving estimation of cost, labour as well as material.
Execution phase: In the third phase of the project, the entire project plan that was
created was mainly put into motion such that the entire work of the project gets completed
successfully. It is quite significant for monitoring as well as making a number of adjustments
which generally recorded the variances from the entire original plan. In addition to this, the
project manager utilizes a number of strategies for maintaining as well as controlling the work of
the project for keeping the entire project on track (Kaiser, El Arbi and Ahlemann 2015).
Moreover, status reports are also created while the project is executing for keeping the entire
project on track
Closure phase: This is considered as the final phase of the project where proper project
documents are handled to the business by releasing the resources that are engaged within the
project. In addition to this the last and the remaining step is to properly conduct the lessons

learned studies for examining the progress of the project. With the help of this analysis, the
wisdom related with experience is mainly transferred to the project organization which will help
the project teams in the future.
3. Business case
Aussies Vacancies is one of the travel agencies that is mainly specialized in rental high
quality of the self-catering accommodation within Australia. The organization mainly utilizes
two different types of sales channels including direct selling to the customers as well as sales
with the help of high street travel agents. Recently, the organization identified that there is high
demand of the customers to successfully implement internet based online booking system.
Currently as per the organizational structure of Aussies Vacancies, the IT team mainly consists
of four team members and therefore the company contracted E-CON for implementing the
website successfully. The Aussies Vacancies recommended E-con to utilize PRINCE2 type
structure for managing the work of the project successfully. In addition to this, it is found that E-
Con will be helpful in providing different types of project function such that the issues that
Aussies Vacancies faces due to the use of computational system gets resolved and further there
will be hike in the yearly revenue that will be generated.
4. SWOT diagram
SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, opportunities and threats) is considered as one of the
frameworks that is mainly utilized for evaluating the competitive position of the company and
for developing proper strategic planning. In addition to this, SWOT analysis mainly assess both
the internal as well as external factors (Phadermrod et al. 2019). The SWOT analysis is mainly
done in order to successfully determine the various critical factors that mainly affects the

organization and in addition to this, they are mainly helpful in exploiting various types of
opportunities for avoiding different types of potential threats. The SWOT analysis that is mainly
