1. Identification of the processes that are involved in submitting request for
dealing with changes
The process that are involved in properly submitting the change request in order to deal
with the changes that are associated with the case study “Robert L. Frank Construction
Company” are generally elaborated below:
Documentation of RFC (request for change): In order to properly make the change
request, it is quite important to know as well as gather all the necessary information so that the
required changes by the organization will be done quite successfully (Hornstein, 2015).
Evaluation of the effort of a change: Proper analysis is required to be done for
successfully planning the project that mainly constitute a change request that generally considers
all the different types of factors which generally can influence the initiation of the change.
Analyzing the impact of the change: The impacts should be properly analyzed before
the change is implemented. The entire challenge is to properly determine the change request as
they will generally make the entire work successful (Kerzner, 2017).
Implementing request in a structured way: It is quite important to implement the
various change request in a very much structured way. The first and the initial step is to build the
change, providing pre-test change as well as developing proper comprehensive plan in order to
deploy the change. In addition to this, the changes are required to be implemented properly for
making the IT post-based implementation infrastructure testing quite successfully (Cameron &
Green, 2015).

Post-implementation monitoring: This procedure is required to be performed after
testing as well as verifying the changes within the project. This will determine, troubleshoot as
whether to more forward with the plan or not. At this particular stage, it is very much important
to determine the lessons learnt for providing benefit for different types of future

2. Analysis of the changes that created impact on scope, time and cost and
project quality
The changes that creates impact on the scope, time, cost as well as quality of the project
quite effectively are illustrated below:
Lack of float and early start field date: It is found that due to lack of float as well as
early start field-based date, it is quite important to start with the project faster however the usual
problem that mainly occurs is mainly because of the receipt of requisition from various
engineering departments as well as suppliers (Binder, 2016). Due to this, the time that is
assigned for the work increases which further enhances the cost of the project and changes the
scope of the project.
Communication problem: It is found that initially, the communication between Lewis
and Frank are effective however it is found that the volume of communication increases to that
point that the response time was mainly becoming very much unacceptable (Martinsuo &
Hoverfalt, 2018). It is quite necessary to cut the response time that was becoming very much
unacceptable. Due to communication issue, not only the quality of the project affected but both
the time and cost of the project increases.

Delay delivery of materials: As the materials from the vendors got delayed therefore
Frank orders generally went bankrupt and the progress does not generally satisfy the
organization. In addition to this, the upper management of the organization became generally
aware of various types of issues as the upper management does not provide proper support
(Donovan, 2018). This changes the scope of the project and due to which the budget of the
project mainly increases.
Improper estimation: It is found that the estimated manpower for the project was nota
appropriate and therefore the time that is required for the project increases that further creates a
number of issues in managing the project quality. Additionally, the time for the project increases
that further creates a lot of challenges (Badewi, 2016). It is quite necessary to make the required
changes by proper estimating the required manpower for the project before the project planning
phase so that the entire work get finished effectively.
3. Identification and discussion on options for satisfying each request and risk
related with it
The options that are helpful in satisfying each of the change request and the risks that are
associated with it are elaborated below:
Change in the float and early start field date: The changes in the float as well as
variations within the early state field date will be necessary so that the project activities can be
executed within the expected time as well as budget. If more float was provided then the project
will run on a lengthy basis.
Effective communication plan: Proper communication plan is mainly required in order
to discuss properly and for avoiding more response time. In order to make changes within the

communication plan can make changes within the project scope and thus the time of the project
can get extended (Cameron & Green, 2015).
Proper delivery of materials: Proper delivery time for the materials should be provided
so that the project materials can be delivered on time. In addition to this, if the delivery-based
changes are not done properly then there will be delay in the project.
Proper estimation: It is quite necessary is to undertake review after estimation for
avoiding issues. In addition to this, if the review is not done properly on time then it can create
delay within the project.
