INTRODUCTION
In order to achieve the specific business goals it is very important to plan and execute the
project and then monitor and control it effectively. This process of planning and execution is
known as project management and it helps in managing the project on time and with good
efficiency (Meredith, Mantel Jr and Shafer, 2017). It is very important for the organisations to
manage the project in a given time constraints so that the desired goals are achieved effectively.
Report will include overview of project that is based on GP practices in the organisations and
will identify the major issue that these organisations face. Further report will include specific
objectives that organisation will be in need to achieve and this will help in completing the project
on time. Project scope will also be identified in the given report that will further help in
identifying the reason of this project implementation on the organisation. Further report will
include project methodology that will have Project approach summary, Project deliverables,
Task break down, Project stakeholders, team and their responsibilities, Project risk and
management, Project cost and budge and also the critical path analysis.
1.1: Overview of the project
The project is based on GP practices in the organisation that is to register the patients in
GP practices for taking online services and this is held in Clover GP practices. There are about
11 Gp’s and three nurses with approx. 1000 registered patients. It is a big challenge for the
organisation to expand its business and as result lots of issues arise before an organisation have
growth(Conway and et.al., 2015). As population of patients raised in the organisation, it became
difficult to manage the people as many complaints were there that patients waited for long time
for the appointments and prescriptions they were getting was also taking time. In such situation
in the organisation, there is a requirement to have proper project management practices to handle
these issues effectively in the organisation.
1.2: Statement of the problem:
The major issue is complaints of the patients as they are not able to get proper services
and have to wait for long time. This problem is affecting the people that are coming and taking
appointments for the prescriptions as they have to wait for their respective turn and it really
becomes tough for the organisation to handle so many patients at a same time. These problems
are affecting the organisation as well the patients as it become tough to manage the things easily.
These problems may also affect health of the patients as they have to wait for long period to take
the prescription. Secondly, it is having great impact on the productivity of the organisation as
patients may lose their hope to get better services for them (Looman and et.al., 2016).
1.3: Rationale:
In order to implement the specific plan for overcoming the problems and issues that
patients as well organisation is facing, an effective plan is required that is referred to as project.
Project plan basically defines different parameters that business has to take into consideration in
order to have improvement in practices adopted by the organisation in order to deal with the
patients. There are different issues that patients are facing and these problems are due to poor
management as patients have to wait for period in order to have prescription.

It is very essential to implement GP online services practice for giving online services to
the patients(van Voorst and et.al., 2016). This project will be beneficial for the patients as they
will be able to book, check and have appointments with a GP, nurse or any healthcare
professional. This project will be having support of both internal and external bodies in order to
make the project work effectively. It will bring effective communication between the healthcare
professionals and patients and will help in reducing these issues arising for the patients. It will
help the healthcare professionals to manage the patient’s population in effective manner by not
making them wait for long period and giving prescriptions within the time period.
1.4: Broad and specific objectives:
Implementing Appointment scheduling for the patients
Enhance access and improve patience experience
Improve professional effectiveness with the use of GP online service
1.5: Scope of the project:
Provide better services and quality care to the patients
Supporting innovation and growth in workplace with GP online service
PROJECT METHODOLOGY
2.1: Project approach summary
The project will use agile approach where the given project will be broken into stages and
with the help of different stakeholders, continuous improvement will be made accordingly with
respect to all the stages involved in the project completion. It will start with description of end
product and the way it will solve the problems that is coming in the organisation(Davies and
Malek, 2017). After this it includes, customer’s expectation so that project is planned, executed
and evaluated in that way only.
2.2: Project deliverables:
This project will be helping the organisation in implementing GP practices and to make
the patients registered with it so that it become easy for them to take respective services that
organisation is providing to its patients. Organisation will be making the patients motivated to
use the GP services and for the same they will advertise and also communicate to the walk in
patients so that they can use this service in an effective manner. This will make the patients
aware about the GP online service and they will get motivated to take advantage of such
effective technology for their health prescriptions(Peckham and et.al., 2015).

2.5: Project risk and management
It is very important to manage the risks that organisation may face during the
implementation of project as these risks may negatively impact the project success if not taken to
consideration. The risk management process will include:-
Risk identification:- It is very important for the organisation to identify the risk involved
and to avoid them from undertaking into project and mainly this work is done by the
project managers or stakeholders of the firm. In order to have effective implementation of
this project, it is required that risk related to GP online services have to be determined
and removed in an effective manner.
Risk quantification:- It is very important to determine whether risk is high, low, medium
or critical on bases of two parameters that are probability or its impact. Appropriate
action are taken by the physicians overcome these risks that are coming within the project
implementation.
Risk response:- For dealing with these risk, organisation use different strategies so that
risks are overcome and project is implemented in an effective manner. For the specific
risk that comes between implementation of GP online service have to be overcome with
the use and implementation of different strategies (Kliem and Ludin, 2019).
Risk monitoring and control:- Implementation of strategy is not enough for the
organisation to implement the project effectively, as there is an important need of risk
monitoring and control as it helps to check whether strategy is implemented effectively
or not so that respective changes can be brought to make the project plan run properly.
2.6: Project cost and budget
Basis Estimated cost
Material cost 10,000$
Equipment cost 15,000$
Service cost 10,000$
Software and hardware cost 20,000$
Contingency cost 15,000$
Facility cost 10,000$
Total cost 80,000$
The critical path analysis
It is a technique that requires mapping with respect to tasks that are essential for the
completing the project on time and with effectiveness (Joseph, 2015). Here time is identified

related to each task and also activities that are essential for this project. Here a realistic deadline
is set in order to complete the project on time.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it is been concluded that it is very important for the organisation to
implement the project effectively with the help of different project management tools. It is been
concluded that with proper project management practices the respective issues rising in the
organisation related to customer complaints and handling them effectively with the help of
project management. The implementation of specific plan helps the organisation to overcome the
respective problems related to customer’s complaint handling and providing them medium so
that they will not have to wait for their turn to take the prescription. Report also concludes that
with the help of project methodology, project implemented effectively in the organisation and
estimated cost is identified to complete the project on time.
