PROJECT MANAGEMENT 2
1. Do you implement the lessons you have learned?
Yes. I do implement the lessons that I have learned in my day to day activities as well
as in my course studies. Regarding the theory that I learned in Unit 1: Effective Project
Communications Management, I learned that communication is a critical element not only
in project management but also in other days to day practices in life. As a result, it is
essential for people to uphold practical communication skills not only in the areas of
expertise but in all fields, since communication significantly contributes to the failure or
success of any project. Communication has to be effective between those involved, and
they should proactively and effectively pay attention and not only waiting for their turn to
speak (Todorović et al., 2015). I learned that the best way to capture lessons learned at
the end of the project could be through documenting all the lessons learned all along the
project course.
2. Have you previously used the lessons learned technique while being involved in a
project? If so, how did it help?
Yes, I have previously used the lesson learned technique in my course research
project. The learned technique that I used during my course research was a face-to-face
communication approach with my research team members. The face-to-face
communication has been significant in my course research project because it helps to
create a collaborative environment between I and my research members. As a result, this
communication approach motivated and inspired me to take part in research project
meetings actively. As a result, through proactive face-to-face communication, I managed
to achieve the goals of my research project before the required due date.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT 3
In order to capture lessons learned is done by documenting all lessons throughout the
project and fill these lessons in a lesson log (Project Manager, 2013). These lessons can be
acquired at the end of the project and are done through soliciting feedback; lesson learned
meetings, comments, and survey inputs.
