INTRODCUTION
Project management is the one of the most important method that is used to evaluate the
project. There are number of methods that are used in the project management to track progress
that is happening in the project and sequence that must be followed to implement the project. In
the current report, project specification and proposal is prepared in detail. Documentary evidence
are also prepared in respect to the current project. Final design proposal is also prepared in the
report. It can be said that varied aspects of the project are covered in the report. In middle part of
the report evaluation of project is done. In this regard project initial and final proposal is
analyzed. On that basis conclusion is formed and ideas are identified that must be followed in
order to improve the project. It can be said that project work is carried out in systematic way. In
this way entire research work is carried out.

1.2 Formulation of specification with respect to constraint
Specification of the project and roles and activities of groups are explained below. Technical specification: In the construction project of building varied tools and materials
will be used. Under this there will be need to purchase stones, bricks and floor tiles like
marble etc. There will be need to purchase RCC and other fixtures. It is very important to
purchase all these specifications of best quality from the reliable supplier (Shen and et.al.,
2010). This will ensure that building will be prepared in systematic way with proper sort
of raw material. It is very important to use raw material up to particular level of quality in
the construction of the project because if same will be done then in that case building will
be construct in better way. It can be said that there is huge significance of purchasing raw
material up to specific quantity and quality. Constraint: Cost is the one of the major constraint in context of the current project. This
is because it is well known fact that cost of the items that are purchased keeps on
changing consistently. Thus, it is very difficult task to control cost in the business.
Environment factor is another variable that acts as constraint in case of the construction
project. It must be noted that environment changed suddenly and with change in same
operations get hampered (Harris and McCaffer, 2013). Like if storm comes in existence
then in that case it become very difficult to perform construction related operations in
systematic manner. Planning is another constraint that affect entire project. It must be
noted that once planning is prepared and then situation if changed then in that case it is
very hard to change entire plan (Robichaud. and Anantatmula, 2010). Thus, these are the
constraints in respect to current project. It is very important to follow constraints in
proper manner because same create hindrance in success of any project. If same will be

addressed in systematic way then project can be completed on time and huge profit can
be earned on same. Legislation: There are some rules and regulations that need to be considered in respect
development of the building on the site. Quality control methods will be used to ensure
that all the operations that are performed are relevant and are performed in best way by
the managers. Multiple quality control management methods like total quality
management can be applied in the business and it can be ensured that best quality of work
is done at the workplace (Harris and McCaffer, 2013). In order to ensure that employees
are healthy and safe at workplace appropriate number of safety equipment’s will be
provided to the employees at the workplace. Market research and feasibility: Market research will be conducted and under this
specific region in which building is proposed to be in construction detail investigation
will be done. Under this, data related to number of houses purchased and of value will be
gathered from varied sources (Kerzner, 2013). By doing so it will be ensured that there is
demand for the product in the market. Feasibility test will also be done and it will be
identified whether it is possible carry out project in terms of cost and profit. Building for residential or commercial purpose: Group members will make an attempt
to identify whether it will be better to prepare building or same must be given on rent. In
this regard some team members will do market research on the rented property that
comes in residential category. On other hand, some people will be market research on
commercial property and on that basis it will be identified that which option is most
suitable.
1.3 Formulate initial proposal
In order to prepare the current project there are varied areas where there is need to pay
due attention. One of these areas are materials, sustainability, environment, cost and new
technology must be taken in to consideration. Materials: Material for construction of project will be purchased from the suppliers that
are located in different locations (Huang, 2011). For each product contact will be
established with different sort of suppliers that are specialized in the specific product.
From such kind of suppliers all products will be purchased in bulk and in this way
discount will be obtained from the suppliers. In this way, material will be purchased at

low price from the suppliers. Contract will be signed with the suppliers and under this for
specific time period goods will be purchased at low price for specific duration. This will
ensure that suppliers will be prepared to supply raw material at very low price. This will
reduce cost of project to great extent. Sustainability: Sustainability of the construction project will be measured and in this way
viability of the project will be measured. Stiff control will be maintained on the expenses
and by doing so it will be ensured that expenses are made in the construction project with
full control. This will directly affect the profitability of the business firm in respect to the
construction project. Environment: Due to environment factor lots of problems can be faced in the current
project and in order to deal with same first of all provision will be made about the way in
which assets can be protected from the impact of the environment factor (Meng, 2012). It
can be said that it is very important to take all protection related measures in the business. Cost: It is very important to control the cost of the project and in this regard there are
number of steps that need to be taken. First of all business firms must identify the
expenses that they are currently making in the business. Thereafter, actual data is
gathered and in this way actual performance of the firm in respect to project is measured.
It can be said that cost is the factor that play decisive role in success or failure of the
project. New technology: In the construction project advanced technology software will be used
like CAD and CAM as well as Tableau and MS project (Fernández-Sánchez and
Rodríguez-López, 2010). By using mentioned technology proper tracking of activities
can be done and through data visualization software one can identify the current trends
and whether same are in line to expectation.
Self-reflection
I done a lots of work in the current project and identify the process that must be
followed to conduct the present research. In the present research study I prepared
activities that must be performed in order to complete the project at preliminary stage. In
this regard I prepared a plan under which it was determined that what actions needs to be
taken in order to control the situation and to implement the project in better way. First of
all I determine that secondary data analysis need be done and thereafter primary data

must be gathered. There are number of tools and methods that can be used to analyze the
data. As per my plan after secondary and primary data analysis report will be prepared by
both groups. In the report I also suggest the factors where there is need to be more
cautious while doing present research study. Thus, it can be said that I contribute a lot to
the current research study. Things gone well in the current research project and I receive
a lot of support from my colleagues.
TASK 2
2.1 Documentary evidence of product development
In respect to the building of construction there are number of documentary evidence that
are given below. Field data: Field data is collected from the market and under this sample of specific
people is taken for the present research as sample units. Specific sampling method is used
in the present research study in order to take sample units from the population (Hwang
and Ng, 2013). Field data in respect to construction industry is collected and analyzed in
the present research study. Geotechnical information: From the relevant database data related to geotechnical
information is gathered which is very useful in making decisions. There are number of
factors that need to be taken in to consideration in respect to construction site. Relevant
decisions are made on the basis of geotechnical information by the project manager. Statistical data: Through primary research varied sort of facts and figures are obtained
and same are analyzed by using statistical tools. These tools help project manager in
identifying the relationship that exist between different variables and on that basis
decisions are made by the project managers. Drawing and graphical displays: While operating project graphs were prepared in order
to track the development that happened in the project. In the software different charts
were prepared and same were aligned to each other in the dashboard (McGeorge and
Zou, 2012). In this way time to time tracking of project is done. Calculations: In respect to the construction site different calculations are performed and
in this way project is evaluated in systematic manner by the project manager.

Documentation on project in respect to calculations is done which ensured that randomly
decisions are not made in respect to construction of project. Costing information: In the plan that is related to construction of project costing related
data is prepared that will be beard in different stages of project. This document revealed
the breakdown of the cost at different phase of the project. It can be said that costing
information is very important for making decisions. Risk assessment: There are different sort of risks that are associated with the current
project. Construction project is one of the project which is exposed to number of risks.
Some of the risks that are associated to the construction project are sudden plunge in the
price of raw materials or shortage of money. Apart from this, strike by labor or death of
any labor is the one of the risk that is associated with the current project. Programing or Gantt chart: Programming can be done in to the analytical software’s
like R, SAS and Hadoop in order to analyze the project related data and to identify the
hidden facts and figures (Hartmann and et.al., 2012). GANTT chart can be prepared on
the MS Project in order to identify activities that can be delayed and activities that must
be performed on time can be identified. Thus, Gantt chart is the one of the main
document that is used to prepare proper plan and performing varied calculations in
respect to project.
2.2 Developing final design proposal to meet agreed specification
Proposal to meet agreed specification are explained below.
Construction scheme: As part of construction scheme new building will be developed under
which there will be 1st floor that will be used for parking bikes and cars. Apart from this, there
will be ground floor for commercial area and restaurant. On first, second and third floor there
will be entrances. There will be different areas that will be constructed on buildings like
reception, class rooms, toilets and laboratory.
Quality control procedure
There is a specific quality control procedure that need to be followed in respect to the
current construction project. Under this, some of the statistical tools can be used by the project
managers (Eriksson and Westerber, 2011). Under this statistical data tools can be applied on data
set and on this basis relationship between different variables can be identified. On the basis of
calculated values appropriate decisions will be taken by the managers in terms of formation of

plan in respect to the current project. Quality control tools or relevant statistical methods helps a
lot firm to promote coordination at the workplace. This is because by applying statistical tools
relationship among different variables is identified and accordingly focus that needs to be given
on the specific tasks is determined. Thus, coordinate promoted in terms of performance of the
business tasks.
There are number of risks that are associated with the current project. It is the quality
control method that is used by the business managers to control risks in the business. By using
quality control procedure interrelationship between various things are identified and risks that are
related to specific variable in the projects are identified. It can be said that there is due
importance of the quality control procedures for the project managers.

3.1 Evaluating project making recommendation for improvement
In order to evaluate the project and making recommendation for improvement stages that
must be followed is given below. Initial proposal: As part of initial proposal main focus will be on purchase of raw
material in bulk. By doing so cost of purchase will be reduced and profitability on the
project will be increased (Sears and et.al., 2015). Strong control will be maintained on
expenses and by doing so cash outflow will be reduced in the business. Apart from this,
proper arrangements will be done to protect assets from the negative impact of the
changes that are taking place in the business environment. Along with this, advanced
software’s like CAD and CAM will also be used in respect to the current project. Final proposal: In the final proposal it is proposed that new building will be developed
and under this there will be first floor for parking of vehicles. In the ground floor there
will be commercial area and restaurant. There will be different entrances in the floor and
reception, class rooms, toilets and laboratory. It can be said that multiple items needs to
be built in the building. Conclusion: It can be concluded on the basis of analysis of proposal that project is
classified different stages (Hwang and Tan, 2012). In the initial proposal main focus is
given on the way in which project must be managed and things that must be controlled.
In the final proposal way in which building will be constructed and different areas that

need to be built in same are determined. It can be said that in the proposal things that
need to be managed are explained in detail. Apart from this, structure of building is
prepared in proper manner. Thus, it can be said that plan for development of building is
prepared in systematic manner. Suggestion for improvement: There are lots of things that need to be improved in the
current project. Firm must develop separate risk management team that will be
responsible to identify the risks that may come in existence in the upcoming time period
(Froese, 2010). Thus, on time risk management team will formulate strategy and
business operations can be performed smoothly without any problem. Key decisions: In this regard there is need to make key decisions like which sort of
software’s will be used for the risk management. Who will be leader of the risk
management team? What will be the subordinates of the manager in the risk management
team? Appropriate risk management mechanism needs to be prepared in the business by
following which in systematic way risks related to elevation in cost or probability of
happening of any unfortunate event will be identified. Thus, in respect to all these things
decisions needs to be made in the business. Group dynamics: In respect to the current project different groups will be prepared and
proper format will be followed for communication (Memon and et.al., 2011). Under this
process hierarchy will be determined and subordinates will take orders from their seniors
and will report to same. In this way it will be ensured that each employee is answerable in
the organization. It can be said that by implementing these changes to the final plan
project can be performed in proper manner.
