1PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION
Introduction
The project optimization defined as the finding solution from the existing substitute
options with highest possible performance or most cost operative under specified constraints
by increasing the preferred factors also decreasing the undesired one. The methods of this
project optimization delivers most famous methods which can use in the time of stages of
several projects for optimising the features of any project. In the chosen article “Optimization
of Project Scheduling Activities in Dynamic CPM and PERT Networks Using Genetic
Algorithms”, some themes are chosen which are majorly used for the optimization of any
project (CALP and AKCAYOL 2018).
Discussion and Analysis of the chosen article
In the chosen article, there are some main themes available which are very important
for the project optimization (Bruni et al. 2017). In this section, these chose themes and the
roles of these themes for the optimization of project are discussed also analysed.
Chosen themes
The themes which can be identified from the chosen article are as follows:
i) Project Scheduling
ii) Complexity of the optimization.
iii) Resource Optimization.
Role of the chosen themes for project optimization
The selected themes are widely used for the activities of optimization of project
management.
i) Project Scheduling:

2PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION
The project scheduling in the mechanism for communicating about the tasks that
which tasks require to get completed also which resources of organization will allocate for
completing these tasks in what frame of the time (Kvilinskyi and Kravchenko 2016). The
schedule of any project is the document gathering all work required for delivering this project
on the given timeline. The procedure of the project scheduling contains describing activities
of the project also the estimation of the time and the resources to use for all the activities. It is
the key factor of the success of the project. In this article, it is described that the problems of
the project resource and scheduling problems are attracted for the increasing the attention
after the CPM that is Critical Path Method and the PERT that is Program Evaluation and
Review Technique are produced consecutively. For the project scheduling the optimization
model is formed (Elsayed et al. 2017). In this article it is also confirmed that the project
scheduling of the resource constraints is the hard problem in the operation research also it
becomes later the famous area for new optimization techniques. For this project scheduling of
resource constraint, the algorithm of met heuristic of optimization enhancements predictable
the method of CPM also MSP that is the Microsoft Office Project software to schedule by
optimizing the time of the project.
ii) Complexity of the optimization.
In this article it is discussed that the complexity led to use of the methods via the
techniques of artificial intelligence for instance the Genetic Algorithm (GA). The complexity
of the project prolong duration of the project also results the failure of this project (Leyman
and Vanhoucke 2017). The aggregated complexity is not constantly equivalent to the
summation of the complexity of the selected project for the reason of possible collaborations
or clashes in the middle of the projects that may upsurge or reduction the entire complexity.
The project complexity may rise the risk also mess the plans for the selected projects. So,
considerate the perception of the complexity of the project and also defining the degree of the

it.
The genetic algorithm is the search experimental which is stimulated by the theory of
Charles Darwin of the natural development (Kadri and Boctor 2018). This algorithm
replicates the procedure of the natural selection wherever the rightest entities are carefully
chosen for imitation in order to yield descendants of the future generation.
iii) Resource Optimization
The resource optimization is the set of several methods also processes for matching
the obtainable resources such as human, financial, machinery and many more with the
requirements of the selected organization with respect to accomplish the prepared goals. The
optimization contains for gaining the desired outputs inside the set of a time frame also the
financial plan with lowest use of this resources (Rostami, Creemers and Leus 2018). The
requirements for optimizing this resources are mainly the event whenever the demands of this
selected organization have a tendency to saturate also go above all the resources which are
presently available. In this chosen article it is described that the estimation also the use of the
resources optimally can be probable by the procedure of the planning from starting to the
ending of the selected project. There is some process is suggested that is recurring for all the
present activities for all the possible shifting of the resources by searching the optimal
solution with the Genetic Algorithm which is used for the project optimization (Cartis, Gould
and Toint 2019). The CPM and the PERT is not able to minimize the unwanted variations in
the utilization profile of the resource. In this article, the researcher found the results the
optimum set of the tasks also the significances which produce the better levelled resources
profiles with the help of the technique of Genetic Algorithm in the software named
MATLAB.

Conclusion
From the above summary of the article named “Optimization of Project Scheduling
Activities in Dynamic CPM and PERT Networks Using Genetic Algorithms”, it can be
concluded that for the optimization of the project, there are some themes present in this
article which have a great role to optimize any selected project. These themes which are well
described above are Project Scheduling, Complexity of the optimization and Resource
Optimization. Also in this article the Genetic Algorithm is discussed for determine the
complexity of the project and this algorithm is very much helpful to the method of
optimization of the project. Also the results of this article presented that this genetic
algorithm is proficient to come across the best recognized solutions from the space of
problems. So this article summary can properly described the method of optimization of any
project by the help of the project scheduling, Complexity of the optimization and Resource
Optimization and also describe the use of the Genetic Method in this purpose.
