INTRODUCTION
Learning contract is referred to an contract formed between the negotiator and supervisor.
In this contract, there is an agreement between supervisor and learner to is undertaken to teach
student the learning goals which has been established (Penuel and et. al., 2011). There are
numerous activities undertaken so that goals are being achieved along with presenting evidence.
The learning contract which has been undertaken in this report revolves around making student
more employable through provision of specific knowledge and technicalities so that they can
emerged to be helpful in the life of practitioner. This portfolio will attempt to portray trans-
disciplinary model and activities which are undertaken for the purpose of analysis. The
assessment of the phases of the project will be carried out so that effectiveness of the same could
be identified. The skills which have been nourished will be helpful in countering the work-place
related problems and finally own experience will be shared in the form of log books.
Brief Background
The learning contract which has been undertaken will focus on the improvement and
maintenance of the personal and professional qualities (Boud, Cohen and Sampson, 2014). The
work based learning which has been undertaken by will definitely help in overcoming of real life

2012).
Demonstration of Trans-disciplinary model of analysis
The Trans-disciplinary approach which has been undertaken in the learning is more
relevant and suitable to the work contemporary work environment in the business organisation
(Bonk and Graham, 2012). This approach focuses on a belief that there are knowledge, skills and
concepts which are undertaken in the learning process and defeat the existing curriculum which
has been formed and ends up making it more challenging and engaging. These approaches tend
to encompass a variety of international understanding so that it can be embraced by a learner in
the ideal manner. In this approach teaching have been investigated thoroughly so that various
aspects of learning journey can be undertaken and resolved. The superior during learning
contract have been enforcing this technique upon learners so that a comprehensive learning can
be undertaken. It would be unfair to say that this approach neglects the importance of the
traditional models of learning as it emphasis on making them more engaging and useful so that
practical skills as well as knowledge would be enhanced. The individuals working in a team are
engrossed to work to together as one in the project which has been undertaken. It is very
essential to consider stakeholders while carrying out a trans-disciplinary approaches.
The stakeholders to business are consumers, employees, shareholders and ultimately
society whose needs and expectations are to be fulfilled in the right manner. In this learning style
problem oriented areas are focused upon so that their right decisions are to be formed (Coronel
and Morris, 2016). This feature reflects through potential of learners to form decision while
resolution of problems and barriers. This leadership approach which is considers in this segment
is rotating as every individual in the team is provided with the opportunity to lead a team and to
achieve shared results. There is a no obligation relates to presence of the supervisor in the
learning process as members in the team can contribute in both aspects of learning and teaching.
The team approach which has been considered in this learning approach emphasising on
delivering services which are requested by clientèle of an hospitality organisation (Engeström,

Assessment of phases of a project
It can be said that project can be categorised on the various stages which are necessary in
making sure that objectives of the target could be fulfilled. The various division of the project
which has been undertaken are mentioned as follows:
Exploring of skills and knowledge: This is referred to be the first phase in the learning
contract in which an individual assesses his own skills and knowledge so that need for
development can be identified. The first step emphasis on identifying readiness to learn of an
individual so that decision relates to undertaking a learning contract can be finalised. The
experience of an individual is considered relates to past encounters with the learning process.
The formation of right set of attitude for the process of learning can be mentioned to as ending of
the initial phase for project planning and implementation (Reiser and Dempsey, 2012).
Accessing of support material: This is second step which relates to development of the
support material which is to be accessed while considering learning contract. The type and
approach to methodology which is to be undertaken in this learning contract will be identified so
that learning could be identified and implemented practically so that better results could be
fulfilled. The role of support material and methodologies will be evaluated against project goals
which have been determined by the learner (Baran, 2014). The aim of this project will be focused
on the attainment of competencies which leads to becoming a competent human resource
manager for an organisation. The goal of the study determines the activities which are to be
focused on their sequence. For the purpose of allotting time and sequence of activities Gantt
chart have been considered along with formulation of critical path.
Engaging in learning process: Now that all the activities and methodologies have been
identified is it essential to engage in the learning process. The supervisor have to make extra
effort relating to understanding needs of learners so that they can be catered with ideal approach
and tactics. The strategic approach is considered which makes sure that they are able to achieved
required growth and development in an trans disciplinary (Pedler, 2011). The various set of
practices are undertaken which focuses on improvement of skills and knowledge required to be a

Analysis and evaluation of action taken
The learning project have been undertaken consistent of numerous actions which
reflected upon the skills and knowledge of an individual. The purpose for which this endeavour
was considered is to ensure that skills and knowledge which are required to work as a human

emerged to be a primary action which have emerged to be most advantageous to a learner. The
simulation have been identified as one of greatest tool which can be undertaken by a learner. The
learners in this approach can practice without being fearful of causing actual damage in an
organisation. This approach provides an opportunity to work numerous time on a single situation
until development of expertise. The forecasting along with its use on distinct employee makes it
one of the best choice for the learning (McGee and Reis, 2012). The requirement of supervisor
along with costly approach emerges as one of biggest drawback of this approach.
Conclusion
It can be concluded from the above report, contract learning stands crucial for an
individual looking to make future in the human resource department. The use of simulation
games have been emerged as suitable and assures that right skills and competencies could be
developed. Undertaking of this learning contract will have positive impact on the cognitive,
decision making and interpersonal skills of an individual. The enhancement of skills and
expertise through learning contracts will make sure that personal and professional goals are
