1PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The project execution phase is one of the longest and most complicated phase in the
project management life cycle. It is the phase of the project where all the activities of the project
are carried out. The deliverables prepared by the team in the planning phase are performed in this
part of the project management life cycle. Each of these deliverables are dependent upon one
other. Some of the stages in the project management has to be done after the proper completion
of the other. Any mistake in the previous phase or delays in the previous phases can lead to the
delay in the entire process of the project. In project management, the cost and the budget analysis
is conducted on the basis of the work done per day. Thus delay in the schedule for a day can lead
up to addition of a large amount of the cost to the budget of the project (Kerzner, 2017).
The project execution phase consists of the time, cost, quality, risks, change, acceptance
and communication phase of a project. Unrealistic deadlines for the project can be a huge
problem for the process of execution (Varajão, Colomo-Palacios & Silva, 2017). Thus preparing
deadlines and milestones in such a way that they can be met by the employees is very important.
In order to do so, follow a timeline and schedule is essential as well. Hence, for the success
completion of the project in the proper timeline and budget, project scheduling and cost analysis
is very important.
