INTRODUCTION
Evaluation and personal analysis play a crucial role for individual development as it
assist people in determining own strengths and weakness over learning. In this assessment focus
of scholar will be deriving relevancy and importance of academic models in project design and
development and in evaluation and reflection module. Further, it will outline personal analysis
and objectives of intellectual with the helps of career development which will be critically based
on SMART goals. The reflective writing will be supported by reflective writing models which
suggest justified step wise process of outlining learning and own ability.
TASK 1 a
Reflection is practice of developing knowledge over skills and qualities. It helps the
person in deriving own ability to address difficult and manageable situation of personal and
professional life. It is the analysis practice where aim of person is on analysing own thought,
emotion, feeling and situation. It is the practice which is beneficial when done in wring because
it id the person in describing different real and imaginary situation. When writing reflection it is
important for the people to respond to own experience, new information and wide opinions.
Further, it is exploring response over own circumstances, emotion, feelings and thought.
However, reflective practice is an opportunity for the people to gain self knowledge and
attain clarity and understanding over own learning and experience which will assist the person
lifelong. Likewise, it I ability of intellectual to reflect on own actions and process of continuous
learning. It is the best practice of writing which supports critical analysis of individual strengths
and weakness. According to Paterson and Chapman, 2013, reflective practice is view of
practical theories and values which the person is able to analyse own everyday action which is
beneficial for managing improvement in leaning and various real life situation.
As per the views of Husebø, O'Regan and Nestel, 2015, it is articulate that reflective
writing and its practices are based on critical thinking ability of person because it is
accumulation of different facts and action of person from one situation. It is discussion of own
knowledge and experience from where the intellectual is liable to outline own learning and
further improvement plans. On the other hand, Boud, Keogh and Walker, 2013, outlined that
reflective writing is based on concept of description and analysing thought and important aspect
of student learning with the motive of deriving lacking area of individual personality which can
be threat to student in personal as well as professional life. The author discussed about different

reflective model which helps in outlining concepts in systematic ways. For example, Gibbs
reflective cycle which enables systemic procedure of outlining entire discussion in description.
Further, there is section of personal feeling where the student is able to express own views over
entire learning and situation. In addition, there is evaluation stage where the person aim at
outlining over all experience and learning from the situation. However, in analysis stage the
person outline view of different authors to support own learning, ides and beliefs. Evaluation and
analysis are two critical stage of reflective concepts and appropriate where the intellectual is able
to justify own experience and learning. Last, stage comprise conclusion and action plan which is
for future improvement.
According to Moon, 2013, learning cycle of Kolb's is beneficial for the intellectual
because it assists the is following systemic procedural steps to present feeling, watching,
thinking and doing something. On the other hand, it lacks views of and justification from outline
sources. Apparently Gibbs, 2013, discussed about Gibb's reflective model according to whom
the approach is effective for outline criticality and justification of student experience hand in
hand whereas the model lack discussion because description, evaluation, personal, feeling and
then conclusion in study causes repetition of same experience and ideas.

The prepose of work is to outline student learning over different academic models which
helps then person in deriving own strengths and weakness from own experience, opinions and
ideas. The assessment will outline student learning from group presentation own Project Design
and Implementation and Evaluation and Reflection, where the person experienced different
challenges.
The reflection is based on one week event which is known as critical incident. The one
week event is chosen by student because the focus of intellectual is on sharing and wring
knowledge over experience gained in Project Design and Implementation in group presentation.
Critical thinking is supportive link of reflective practice because it asst the person on deriving
own weakness by making comparison from other people who were involved in experience or
situation.
The chosen model for reflective writing is Gibbs reflective cycle because it helps students
in learning from own experience by critical evaluation and justification. It is effective reflective

model because helps the person in understanding own weak links and needs of improvement and
way to do better in particular situation.
Gibbs reflective cycle
Description
The presentation was based on Project Design and Implementation where I was a group
leader and I felt that I was bit shy in putting forwards my opinion and learning my team. I
managed to come forward which was accepted by every ream members and this boosted my
morale and I focused on managing work within group members. In accordance with presentation
I derived work among team according to their skills, knowledge and interest in particular
activity. When distributing work I focused on will and wish of team members where everyone
had option to disagree \with division of work in order to choose task according to own comfort
level. At the time of work distribution I was aware that no person will come up and agree to own
strengths and weakness and therefore giving individual opportunity to decide work will be the
best of coordinating efforts of group members. Further, for information management and
focused communication among team members I Created Whatspp group of all team members

where we discussed about group meeting and task. This helped in reducing risk of mis
communication and mis management. However, I was less interactive in comparison to other
individual in group but I notice improvement in my own communication skills as a team leader.
Personal feeling
I feel my temper is the foremost concern due to which I was vulnerable to various
situation and group behaviour in presentation process. I focused on controlling my anger in
different situation for managing effective coordination and cooperation with team members. In
accordance with anger I feel emotional intelligence play crucial role in developing understanding
over own areas of improvement. According to Goleman, 2017, I learned about competencies of
emotional intelligence like self awareness, social awareness, social empathy, relationship
management and self management. In accordance with emotional intelligence I derived my
weakness over strengths and limitation which are crucial aspect of people's anger. In accordance
with learning I felt for managing group members I need to have understanding over own
strengths and weakness which promotes self control (Emotional Intelligence, 2015).
Understanding over self control is critical aspect which aid in handling changes with flexibility,
acting on opportunities and managing integrity and values when working with different type of
people.
Evaluation
In accordance with my presence in Project Design and Implementation I feel my
knowledge Over academic theories and models assisted me in controlling and managing group
task but my anger hampered the group work to which I lost self control and I reacted vulnerably
to many situations (Johansson, Miller and Hamrin, 2014). Further, I feel implication of different
academic theories and skills like critical thinking, communication writing assisted in making
presentation systemic and logical but the closure of group members led to various emotional
concerns where I feel people were trying to test my patience and are ready to argument. As per
the situation I was very defensive with group mates which influenced smoothness of discussion
in preparation of PPT. According to Mahembe and Engelbrecht, 2013, balance of emotions
when working with different type of people play crucial role for the people because it helps the
intellectual in deriving pros and cons of the situation.
On the other hand, I evaluated that presentation helped me in gaining understanding over
my own strengths and weakness which needs to be addressed in order to overcome threatening

situation. I analysed various positive and negative sides of my behaviours which restricts my
learning and involvement with different type of people. Thus, I can articulate that presentation
helped me in evaluating my strengths which can assist me in garbing opportunities where
weakness which can be threat to my person and professional life.
Analysis
From the presentation I analysed various things about mu nature which needs to
improved for establishing self control. According to Cavazotte, Moreno and Hickmann, 2012, I
analysed about emotional intelligence with the help of which the individuals are able analyse
own strengths and weakness and help the intellectual in managing behavioural changes
accordingly. Further, the situation where I felt out was after distribution of work where no team
person was bothered seeking my opinion over any changes or inclusion of information.
However, my focus to every situation was neglecting behaviours of team members which can
hamper peace of my mind (Raes and et.al., 2013). In accordance with evaluation I analysed I
could have been confident from starting of presentation because it could help me in
demonstrating value of my position and importance among team members. The hesitation of
coming up in stating test my emotional patience in entire presentation.
Conclusion
In accordance with personal feeling, analysis and evaluation I feel lack control over my
anger and motional balance due to which I was defensive with team members to the situation I
was not in favour of. I would like to concluded by stating I could have been more peaceful and
calm with opinion and ideas of people.
Action Plan
Hence, from analysis and evaluation I learned about negative and positive sides of
behaviour ad therefore in future presentation like this my focus will be on initiating conversation
and team management with confident because it is itself a strong tool which boost individual
more and image among group members. It can be said that it reflects positivity of individual
behaviour in beneficial for management and coordination.
TASK 1 b
Work base learning is the opportunity of analysing things which the student can not learn
and explore in classroom environment. Work base learning is beneficial for school, student and
employers. It is the type of leaning which helps the student in boosting academic learning
6

which comprise critical thinking, communication, academic writing, presentation of thoughts and
ideas, etc. While work base learning for school comprise improvement in attendance and student
motivation (What is Work-Based Learning?, 2017). The learning promotes individual behaviour
in school which supports scholar relationship with communities of extra curricular activities. On
the other hand, work base learning for employers is beneficial because it helps HR manager of
the organisation in managing reduction in training and recruitment cost. In this the employers are
able to recruit skilled and better prepared workers which have critical understanding over
workplace expectations.
However, work base learning play a crucial role in reflective practice because with the
help of this students are able to explore won ideas and contribution in class room environment.
Understanding over own ideas and learning helps the people in evaluating need of work base
learning in order to manage improvement in areas of personal and professional life. Apparently,
the purpose of present work is to outline three key points of focus of students that is conflict,
absent and contributing ideas. Apparently, three themes are common when working in group as
conflict occurs due to clash in opinions and view point while absent is also common group
working for one or the other reason. Whereas contribution of ideas is essential part of when
working with different types of people. It helps in analysing views points of various people in
same situation. Thus, the analysis of three themes will be done via BORD model of reflection
that is Gibbs reflective cycle because it assists the intellectual in writing whole experience in
different perspective that is own feeling, evaluation of situation, analysis which act as
justification and aid in making conclusion and actions. The BORD model is chosen for reflecting
own key themes because it helps in managing systematic outline of facts and findings from
overall scenario.
What
Description
Project Design and Implementation presentation was creative task in which I was
expecting accumulation of unique ideas and approaches. Further, I tried to overlap my weakness
of not approaching people and assisted and motivated team members I task distribution which
was completely based on individual ability to perform certain task of presentation. Some
individuals asked for data collection, some were interested in analysis where some were aimed at
making presentation creative. The major barrier in presentation was conflict of ideas whereas
7

per some people time was major concerns. However, according to some people innovation and
creativity in presentation of fats is valuable approach of Project Design and Implementation.
Thus, from the entire task I reviewed different situation which are conflicting and supportive in
group. Further, I feel behaviour of team leading person also play a crucial role in managing
coordination and cooperation among group members regardless of conflicting ideas and themes.
Personal feeling
I feel differences in opinion is common part of group work therefore when working with
my team on Project Design and Implementation came across three common issues in group work
that is conflict, contribution of ideas and absenteeism. However, as per the views of West, 2012,
conflicts are common part of group work which demonstrate work in progress. The author
discussed that the major aspect of conflict when working in group is poor communication which
was managed by me as a team leader by creating a what's app group of communication apart
from work and other than discussion was conducted in academic setting. I discovered that the
potential reason behind conflict in our team was deceasing productivity and interest of students
in presentation.
As per the views of Biron and Bamberger, 2012, contribution of ideas is another issue of
group working which arise due to lacking interest and group members in team work.
Contribution of idea becomes issue in group work in two condition that is when there are
numerous innovative ideas and no person is ready to negotiate with each other s opinions. Apart
from this it becomes issue when no person shared own beliefs and opinion to make task creative.
In accordance with this I feel I struggled with lack of innovative idea where only two or 3
students were coming up with ideas and rest were just supportive of ideas. On the other hand,
Rousseau and Aubé, 2013, articulated about absenteeism which is major drawback of group
work. It is the situation where some team members were not ready to involve in task due to
which team runs out of time and work. I feel it was the major issue where my anger strike
because 2 individual in team were very irregular and were responsible for keen work that is
information collection. Apparently, I was unable to forced them to join for group working as
there reason were genuine but on the hand it was the situation where my anger strike my head
and I became defensive to every person.
So what

The saddest thin which I came across in Project Design and Implementation presentation
session was conflict among team members because of random issues like clash in ideas, work,
division, opinions, ways of working, etc. I lack confidence and struggles through anger issue
because of which conflict situation for me because more workers and I become defensive for all
the group members. According to Costa Passos and Bakker, 2014 poor communication leads to
conflict but in present scenario I feel conflicts among workers led to poor communication. Apart
from this, contribution of ideas was lacking from where I evaluated that presentation was not
innovative because only few teams members am up with creative ideas of debate cards,
discussion with audience, etc. However, every other person was laid back and was either
agreeing or disagreeing to ideas (Somech and Drach-Zahavy, 2013). According to Coffman,
2014, absenteeism I the major reason which hampers team work which I feel was actually a
crucial concern with my team. During work no person was ready to adjust and was taking leaves
according to own convenience which led to mis management of work and lack of time.
Analysis
In accordance with individual involvement in Project Design and Implementation
presentation I felt that my anger and confidence is my personal concern which hampered work of
my team. It I important for me to set improvement in my way of thinking and perceiving
different situation before asking team to coordination (Vella, Oades and Crowe, 2013). I
analysed that when working with team negotiation is crucial concern for managing coordination
in work and ideas which was lacking due to my way of approaching and coordination group
members. I learned various things about my personality which hampered group coordination and
led to conflicts like absenteeism, lack of ideas and conflicts (Drachen and et.al., 2014). My lead
was not to interfere in team work because of which conflicts occurred and no one was controlling
team and everyone was performing task according to won ill and ideas. Thus, I feel before
managing team building I need to focus on my own improvement which can be done via forming
continuous professional development plan for myself.
Now what
Conclusion
In accordance with personal feeling, review of different views of authors, evaluation and
analysis of presentation and contribution of team with in presentation, I feel there was crucial
need of managing improvement in team work by focusing on team building activities where I
9

could have focused on building a bond with team members which would have helped in
managing understanding over individual interests in presentation. Further, I feel my anger was th
concern where team members were not ready to discuss anything with team leader which led to
conflicts. However, in accordance with I could have been more supportive regardless of anger
and confidence issue to gaining support for group members.
Action plan
As per the discussion I feel in future and in my next presentation my focus will be on self
control which will helps m in managing my anger issues and will support my interaction with
team member. Further, in future my initial focus will be on firm team building activities which
will support communication and friendliness among group members. Thus, it will assist in
reducing risk of key problems that is conflict, contribution of ideas and absenteeism.
