1. Introduction
The Project execution management is to describe the Request for Proposal and to write a
complete documentation for all the requests for the proposal documents. The Request for
Proposal is one of the standard tools that is used in the departments of governments and in
some companies to buy machines, equipment, products and services by the promotion of
competitive proposals among contractors. The name of the company that is being chosen to
propose the Request for proposal document is “Singh’s”. The scope of the chosen
organization will be specified. The objective of this assessment is to give explain the Work
Breakdown Structure and the types of the contracts that they offer in their organization for
the Reconstruction of the Harbour bridge. A WBS is an important deliverable in the project in
which it is used to arrange the activities of the team into different sections of management.
The work breakdown structure is explained with an example in this assessment. The
agreement that is made between the company that offers the contract and the group which
take over the contract is called the contract. The required tenders of the organization and the
substantial analysis for all the provided tenders are to be specified in this assessment. Among
all the provided tenders, the tender that meets all the requirements of the organization in all
criteria is to be picked. Cost for the total project and the time taken for completing the project
is to be specified.
2. Objective of the Project
The objective of the project is to build a harbour bridge. The scope of the project is to
concentrate on the plans that are organized for the projects. Many contractors had applied for
the Reconstruction of Harbour bridge tender. The responsibility of the Singh is to select the
best contractor to build the bridge. To define the project clearly, a checklist has to be
designed for the scope of the project (W. Larson & F. Gray, 2011).

3. Total Cost Estimation
The cost estimation for any building can be a rough estimation. The cost can be increased
or decreased in each and every step. The important thing is the cost estimation for any
Reconstruction works. The cost estimation includes the amount spent on material, equipment
and the pay that has to be paid to the labours who build the bridge. In addition with these
expenses, the contractor's cost also included which is an indirect one (Berg, Bank, Oliva &
Russell, 2006).
Analysis of Data
To develop the cost estimation, it is significant to find the most significant and
influencing factors of the characteristics of the bridge. The data for the Reconstruction of the
bridge has to be collected based on the 4 main variables like Location of the bridge, type of
the bridge, Annual Average traffic that happens daily in the bridge and the number of life
spans. Therefore by considering the mentioned factors, the total cost required for the
Reconstruction of the Harbour bridge is 70 million for 1 km long.
4. Time Duration for the Completion of the Reconstruction
The days required or time needed to complete the Reconstruction work of the harbour
bridge depends upon the distance of the bridge that is going to be constructed and the number
of labours appointed for building the bridge. If the number of labours are more, then the
Reconstruction can be completed in shortest time period. If the distance is less, then also the
Reconstruction can be done soon. The number of days required to complete the harbour
bridge that is 1km long is 400 week days only. 2018 is not a leap year, so that the number of
days are only 365 days. The day starts from the date 01-08-2017 and the Reconstruction gets
completed on 26-04-2019. If the weekend is also gets calculated then the end date will be on
22-11-2018.
5. Place of performance
Place of performance in the project is the relation with the contract. In the individual
contracts, the place of performance is the place where the employee usually carries his work.
If the employee of the project does not have any habitat for carrying over his work, the
employer can also sue in the courts for the area where the work is engaged with the employee
or the present place of the work. Here in the Reconstruction work for building the bridge, the
place of performance is the area where the Reconstruction site is situated.

6. Geographical Location for the Reconstruction
The Port where the harbour bridge is going to be constructed is situated on the flat
coastal plain called as Eastern Coastal Plains which is situated on the east coast of the
peninsula. The slope of the bed in the region is flat. The climate that is found in the
Reconstruction site is the tropical which is both wet and dry. The weather in the site goes to
its pick during the summer with maximum temperature of about 42 C and also it falls down
to the minimum temperature of about 18 C in the month of January. The waves that comes in
the port of the Reconstruction site is semi-diurnal. The waves come up to a height of 1.2m.
The changes that occurs in the level of the water gets varied according to the wind, waves,

managing the Reconstruction work. The contracts can be selected based on many criteria.
The previous projects of the contractors can be considered and the quality of the pre-works
can be measured. The criteria can be classified as financial requirement, Technical quality,
Management ability, Reputation and then the Safety. The employer can look after the bid
evaluation of the contractor. The bid evaluation consists of considering the three main things
of the projects known as Time, Cost and Quality.
The best contractor will quote for minimum cost and time but with highest quality. The
acceptance of the contract should be loyal. The employer must not work in favour of
someone who he knows. The contractor should not try to get the tender illegally by using any
employees of the organization who provides the tender.
8. Requirements of the Reconstruction
The Contractor of the harbour bridge tender must provide all legal documents that meets all
the requirements of the employer. The documents that are to be provided by the contractor
are the Rough estimation cost for the Reconstruction, number of labours that they are going
to employ for the Reconstruction, labour cost and the tenure (time duration) required for the
completion of the bridge. Other Requirements of the Reconstruction process includes the
water facility, electricity facility and the habitat for the labours who work in the

Reconstruction work. Then the transportation facilities for importing and exporting the
materials used for the Reconstruction. Each and every process in the Reconstruction work
may take specific time to complete. Specific quality of the Reconstruction includes the
quality of the material that are required for the Reconstruction. The quality of the cement,
bricks that are going to be used for the Reconstruction should be in 1st quality. The quality
depend upon the cost estimation.
9. Work Breakdown Structure
The Work Breakdown structure is considered to be the important deliverable in
managing and executing the project. The project team performs all the activities that are
related to the project and this work breakdown structure organizes the activities of the project
team in an order to make into different sections of management ("What is a Work Breakdown

The first main section of the decomposition process of the WBS is the Project and then
the main deliverables of the projects are specified in the process, then the deliverables are
further divided into sub deliverables. The Sub deliverables are again divided into Lowest
level of sub deliverables. Then the cost account is specified which is the process of grouping
of work to monitor the status of the project. The final step is identifying the activities of the
work that is to be performed in the project (W. Larson & F. Gray, 2011).
The work breakdown structure is used in Request for proposals to identify the scope
of the work for all contractors and the significant dates are mentioned in the schedule of the
project. Providing and maintaining the schedule of the project is the responsibility of the
contractor involved in the project. The scheduled performance of the contractor is monitored

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) creates the documentation and it
verifies whether the materials, products and the services that are used for the Reconstruction
are in high quality and they assure whether the bridge is with good quality to be opened. ISO
certification is the best certification that is given to the product or for the quality of the
product. ISO 43 series is the series of certification given for the cranes used for the
Reconstruction. ISO 28842 is given for the building Reconstructions with good quality.
