1PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Question 1:-
Based on your current understanding of global project management, critically analyze particular
personality traits or competencies that are important for project managers to possess in order to
be most effective?
Answer:-
The PMI recognizes three several competency measurements such as personal,
knowledge and performance. The individual competencies are separated into some areas like as
action and achievement, helping and social service, impression and inspiration, cognitive,
decision-making, personal efficiency. A competent project head always balances some project
"currencies" like money, time, awareness, safety, and status (Brière et al., 2015). For a project to
be professed as practical, all shareholders have to sense that they expected a positive argument at
the project end. Many persons can eagerly grip the exchange rates for money, time and
information. Prestige and security are, however, established on individual opinion and are harder
to calculate.
A competent project lead recognizes this opinion of loss and frequently can display a
shareholder with development in both areas, and win their backing for the project. The
concluding factor of people management, frequently harder to manage, is when persons feel
vulnerable by the knowledge set of a decent and productive project manager (Ahadzie, Proverbs
& Sarkodie-Poku, 2014). Many criteria are applicable to a successful project manager. Good
leadership quality, cost control, negotiation skill, proper risk management ability are the essential
characteristics for the successful project manager. An advanced training and expansion program
is one of the most excellent techniques to assist project managers to develop their knowledge and

skill (Pangsri, 2015). Project leads are the strengths of a project's victory, but they must have the
mandatory skills to manage and group. A proper training program can be a reliable way to
improve those abilities to confirm productivity and victory.
Question 2:-
Briefly describe a project of which you are aware, either through personal experience,
observation or from your research. Explain the methods that could appropriately be used in
project selection and their processes.
Answer:-
Personal Experience is very much essential for project improvement. My responsibilities
and roles as a project head are to distribute the task correspondingly among my team associates.
Keep affectionate relationship, my team, tracing their work timing, stalking their development,
tracking project growth, keep inspiring my squad for nonstop repetitive work, Consumer
interaction, providing reports to the consumers regularly. There are two categories which can be
helpful to select any project like as profit dimension method and constrained optimization
approaches. While time-consuming, retaining these approaches is crucial for an active business
plan.
Example:-
My team and I are working on the Technical implementation project. ABC group are
hiring us for implementing modern technology in their office premises. We are named this
Project “Project TI”, and I search who the leading investors were and got their contribution to the
project’s several parts. Then, I sketched the significant marks that would be involved in

implementing the project and worked towards the back to interrupt the work that would want to
be completed at every stage.
I made a list of all conceivable threats that might break us from getting those marks, and I
then added some additional time to the list in case anything unanticipated came up. The proper
project management software are essential for any project. In this project my project team are
using Microsoft project software and deliver the work within a deadline. With the help of this
software my team are calculating total task estimation, allocation process and work spans. I also
prepared sure that my responsibilities and role in the project were as perfect as probable, so I
accurately identify what I had to do. The project was finalized on time, but watching back, I
understand some difficulties could have been evading. It is always easier to realize what the
findings are after a project has been accomplished, and I now recognize what I would do the later
time inversely.
