This project management assignment focuses on planning and executing an art festival for the Metropolis City Council. Project Management

Introduction
Project management is an area of management, which basically deals
with developing as well as initiating the project, with particular
aims or objectives and with techniques involved to arrive at the
valid conclusion.
This project will be covered on local arts festival, which will be
undertaken by Metropolis city council, for which team will been
assigned to plan and develop this art events project.

Work breakdown structure
Work breakdown structure is the comprehensive structure in which project
manager of the project divides the complex or critical work work in
small units or parts, so that the project can be done in the given time
period. This entire project is divided to:
Initiation: This stage involves the starting of this group with an idea
generation and also check it suitability for carrying out further to arrive at
the valid conclusion.
Planning: This stages involves executing the action plan for deciding the
theme for art event festival, which is clearly based on deciding an
appropriate tools & techniques for raising funds for this events.
Execution: This project will be executing by analysing various past research
for same kind of environment based events.
Evaluation: Continuous evaluation such as feedback, opinions, review etc.
are required to evaluate the each and every stage of this events, which
will complete the WBS structure.

Gantt Chart
This chart was developed by Henry L. Gantt, who was the great
engineer. This complete chart is a graphical representation of
every activities or task, with the response that project
manager could easily estimate the time, phases or track the
activities for completing the project in the given time period.
It will help the project manager for tracking the performance
level of team members for conducting this group project so
that, they can provide training to least performer.

Assessing project performance at each stage
Discovery: In this events project, this initial stage determines which project, the
company wants to add and is able to carry out.
Scoping: This stages is all about evaluating the product or events, which is
associated with market. Also, this stage takes all the possible threats from the
project for suitable results.
Development: During this stage, the plans from previous project or plans could be
taken for carrying out the simple tests for getting suitability and reliability of
this event festival based on environmental sustainability.
Testing and validation: This stage covers the product testing and validation. This
basically looks at the implementation stage of the project along with
ascertaining in advance the right and suitable results from this event project.
Launch and implementation: For successful carrying of an entire event, various
strategies related to marketing, operation and promotion of an events is comes
under the consideration. This requires license for getting the clearance for this
entire events festival. Launch also needs suitable media for publicity purpose.

Identify the risk: After the conducting this event project, it was decided to plan suitable
course of action prevent people from any kind of misshapenness such as health issues, danger,
fire or theft etc.
analyse the risk: This stage involves the analysis of risk or misshapenness to know its impact
or destruction which can be happened to this environment sustainability festival.
Evaluate the risk: Committee of this festival should rank the risk which can be occurred
along with taking the pre-planned measures for avoiding it for protect life any people or entire
festival.
Monitor or review the risks: This stage is the action phase where event manager needs to
make necessary arrangements or measures, in case any wrong or failure would happened. In
this phases, committee of this art festival would have to review their arrangements.

Provide a Responsibility, Accountability, Consulted and
Informed (RACI) Matrix for the project
Responsible: For this event project, its deals with the person
who will complete this task along with positive result.
Accountable: In this environmental sustainability project, it
will reveals about person who is ultimately accountable and
has Yes/No/Veto.
Consulted: It says which person that needs to feedback and
contribute to the activity.
Informed: It reveals that person that needs to know of the
decision or action.

Conclusion
An effective project management is necessary for every
business entity to conduct in an effective and
productive manner. It involves the planning, co-
ordinating and controlling stage to maintain the
actual decorum of the project work. It is also
realized, project can be individual as well as group
both, but major agenda must be complete and
comprehensive learning.
