1) a. Define the key characteristics of any project.
There are several characteristics, which needs to be considered while making a project they
are:
 The project should have single purpose. It should be specific in its cost, programme
and presentation.
 The project should be unique in nature, which is not done before. The routine and
timetable needs to be followed effectively to meet the specific need of the project on
time and make it unique and different.
 A project always cuts crosswise to the organisational outline. There arise multiple
complexities while making project that requires to be handled by the professional’s.
Sometimes the advices to meet the problems are taken from the management of other
organization.
 The objective to make project is to execute it in perfect and efficient way but
sometimes the organisation faces cost to it. Employers need to invest more energy in
order to make the project unique. They invest more time that may be a threat to
handle other department of the company.
 The project needs to be maintained and executed in collective form. The management
needs to look after the team’s management role of the team who is allotted to do the
project. This feature will enable the team to produce efficient project.
b. What is the purpose of the Project Initiation Document (PID)
 The purpose of the PID is to certify that the assigned project has a sound foundation
before confirming the commitment made by the project board management (Koda and
Osiński, 2016).
 The PID ensures to act as a valid certificate from which the project board can access
the development and change the issues of management.
 The project Initiation document can be used as a reference form. This will enable the
project department to be access with documents on which the project is made. The
PID is kept updated to provide relevant information about the project as the project
board may not be keen to save the documents.
 The purpose of the PID is to make an outline of the project before executing it. It
strengthens the opinion and planning process to implement the project.

 PID is made to be checked by the project department who thinks it can add value to
them and are approved by the project department.
2) a. What is the Scope Statement for a project?
The scope statement of the project is of different form, which depends on the type and nature
of the project that is done. It provides details about the project deliveries and findings with
the main objectives (Owusu et al., 2019). The objectives and findings, which are stated in the
scope statement needs to provide high success in constructing and executing projects. The
particular needs is included as a justification of the project, the scope is defined in details so
that it can be accepted easily. The acceptance criterion is included in the statement where the
condition, which needs to be performed to make the project deliverable, is mentioned. The
works, which needs to be performed in the project, is mentioned here along with the
limitation such as the restriction that occurs in making the project is provided. The time
management table is also stated along with the assumptions, which will be made to perform
the project on effective way, is given in the scope statement.
b. What role does the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) have in such a statement?
The work breakdown structure is a division of tasks that helps in making logical deduction of
the scenario in order to meet the needs of project (Nugroho and Latief, 2018).
The WBS is going to help in fulfilling the tasks in a proficient manner for the project
completion process.

4) What approaches exist to generate a budget for a specific project budget?
There are mainly two approaches to consider, top down approach and bottom up approach.
The seniors make decisions regarding the business development and budget allocation
process (Balseiro et al., 2017).
The Bottom Up approach helps in making a logical simulation and that is why the accuracy is
high.
5) How can project risk arise? Outline the various responses to risk that may be taken
within project management.
The project may have different issues that reduce the viability of the project and that is called

Monitoring- the monitoring process helps in checking the project and the controlling the
process. This is going to help in meeting the standards of the project and the work force is

prospects to consider. It is seen that the issues can be sorted with proper kind of brand
