The report will be illustrated into two tasks in which the main aim of this assignment is to learn a
proper data and different ways are used to deal with overseeing as well as also plan the project
management properly. Additionally, it centres in dealing systematically with the degree
components, resources, quality, cost and timetables in an inquiry. Mainly the second task will
demonstrate the required movement by a capable project manager. In the second task, the
London skills concern case has been shown which is formed newly initiative by collaborating the
inner local authority of London and also through evening standard. This will also include the
skills and abilities and the management procedure by utilizing the project life cycle as well as
also undertake the knowledge areas of the project management.

1) Define the key characteristics of any project.

the particular objectives, the project cannot forever run so it will fail in achieving the goals. Also,
several resources are there, such as human, budget for properly implement the project. There is
also one specific thing towards a project which is unique and different. For instance, the building
construction has a similar design, but still, there is a difference in the materials, locations etc.
(Browne et al., 2016). So the significant characteristics of the project should have defined life
span and objectives with the end and beginning of the project; also the involvement of different
professionals and the department is there and specific cost, performance requirements and time
must be there.
2) List and briefly explain the five (5) key stages in Project Management?
The project management is an application of techniques, tools, knowledge and skills to a huge
range of the activities to meet with specific project requirements. The five key stages in the
project management include:
Initiation: It is the beginning stage of the project, and the main goal of this stage is to
define a project at a huge level properly. It is a case that begins usually with the business
case.
Planning: It is the main stage for successfully managing the project and also focuses
mainly to develop the roadmap which everyone is needed to follow.
Execution: It is a stage of a project where the deliverables are completed and developed.
In this the team is developed, a resource is properly assigned, execution of the project
management plans, assignment of a task is executed etc.
Monitoring and controlling: It is all about for measuring the project performances and
profession as well as also ensuring that all is happening in aligning properly with a
