ASSESSMENT
1.1 (1)- Interpretation and definition of project
A project is the proper series of the various tasks that project need to be accomplished in order to
deliver the outcomes of the project and it can be range from the easy to complex. Project can be
managed by 1 or more than 100 people (Abyad., 2018).
In the context of business or science projects are treat as any undertaking, individually
carried out or collaborate by the person to include the design and research.
Examples- product development project, Organizing meetings, implementation of new business
process.
1.1 (2)- definition of project management
Project management is the process that include Skills , experience, methods top achieve
the objectives and goals of the project as per the project acceptance criteria within the agreed
project parameters.
Project management is the concept of leading the work of the team to meet the success
criteria in particular time period. The main aim of the project management is to achieve their
goals by making project successful.
Examples- Planning party, Sport's event, Wedding etc.
1.1 (3)- Interpretation and recognition of the objective of the project
A project objective can be described as the result of a project; this item is mainly tangible in
nature. The objective needs to meet time, budget and quality constraints.
Project objectives are the plan that can be used to achieve at the end of project or after the
completion of it.
Where the objective is well understood and has a tangible output (e.g. in construction and
engineering) it is usual to define the scope as accurately as possible at the beginning of the life
cycle (Demirkesen and Ozorhon,., 2017).. The construction project objectives are made specific,
with adequate time, budget and constraints. (time, budget, quality constraints, specific). All these
four aspects are taken into consideration. (Abyad., 2018).

1.1 (4)- the Core components of the project management with interpretation and definition
The core of components of the project management is where the reason for existence of project is
been defined. In this they decide a business case so that investment is being justified. Core
Components of the project management helps to define Reason that why project is necessary and
also capture the requirement of the project, specify deliverable quality, time etc.
Core component' are most important part of the project management that helps to prepare
the business cases to justly their funds and investment in the project management and also secure
the corporate funding and agreement with project manager.
The other definition of core component of project management includes development and
implementation of management plan. They also make sure to manage the project budget. The
example of this can be seen in construction project of University where the university has set
their specific budget in developing the new R&D department. They have also defined why
building of this department is necessary.
1.2- Project managers responsibilities and difference between project managers and sponsors.
Project managers have huge responsibilities within the project and helps to organize, plan
and direct the team to achieve the goals and objectives of the specific project. They also ensure
the project should be done on the given time, budget and their goals should be achieved by the
whole team to make project successful.
Project mangers and sponsors are totally different from each other because project
managers is responsible to organize and plan whole project while Sponsors provide support to
the project by providing funds to the project mangers and during the project they can put their
business banners to advertise their product and services, so they can make new customers who
can buy their product and services and satisfy their needs (Kim, Chang and Castro-Lacouture.,
2020).
How both work in the project
Project managers work to plan and execute the plan and in the binging, and they cover all
the inertial activities and after that they decide the times, give roles and responsibilities to each
and every team members and explain to them how they are going to perform, and they are also
responsible to take report of all the project progression and sew that their project plan is working
successfully or not.

When project managers feel that they need more budget in their project or event than they
look for the sponsors to invest in their product but sponsors only look for the event where people
company in high quantity, so they can advertise their product and services and local people can
be aware of their prod cut and services which is beneficial for the both sponsors and the project
to make their event successful. This is how both are different, but they have huge contribution to
make the project successful and achieve the goals and objectives of the project.
1.3- Interrelationship between project risk, Scope, Schedule, Quality, Finance and sources.
All the elements within the project like Scope, Schedule, finance, risk and quality etc.
are part of the project, and they all are interrelate with each other (Mahmoudi., and et.al., 2020).
Project Risk- In a project risk factors are determined by the project managers that helps
to ensure the safety the security of the employees and team member's that covers scope of the
project. For examples – project manager see what kind of risk can take place according to the
proper or event, and they identify the risk from the project scope.
Project Scope- Project scope provide clear guidelines to the project managers and make
them understand how effective their study will be and how many times it will take which means
it covers the time line and Schedule of the project.
Project Schedule- Every project has the limited time and all the project activities take
place one after another. Project schedule covers the all activities that include all the other
eliminates of the projects like, risk, resource, scope, quality, finance etc. it shows the project
managers need to follow the schedules, so they can reach to their primary objectives and make
their project successful.
Finance- To make project successful one of the most important part is Finance
management and it is responsibility of the finance managers of the project (Radujković. and
Sjekavica., 2017). They make budget for each and every project areas like project scope,
resources, times etc for examples- To buy the product resources company will need the funds, so
they will take funds from the finance managers of the project.
Quality and resources- project quality management covers the activities and process
that are helpful to figure out and achieve the deliverable quality and resources that need within
the project like equipments and things that are used for the decoration. It also interlinked with the
other elements for examples- resource are linked with the project finance because finance is
needed to buy resources and quality ensure the scope, times and Schedule.

1.4- Critical compression of approaches of project management and complexity of different
projects
There are three most popular project management approaches that are mostly used by the
project managers to make their project successful.
Generic project
management methods
Bespoke methods of project
management
Tailored project
management techniques
In this approach the fall is that
one size does not fits all as
every project which is been
undertaken is unique. Each
requires a different approach
related to how a project can be
managed. In this, the project
manager needs to embrace
their thinking. This method is
basically used for short term
projects. The major drawback
with PRINCE2© over the
years has been its poor
application to small projects.
This method needs to be
tailored and it should be
developed further. It can be
used in small uncomplicated
project.
The initial dis-advantage of
project management is that the
initial cost of making use of
this software is really high.
High amount of time is needed
and also huge effort is needed
to make appropriate use of this
software. The Waterfall model
also have some faults like
Errors within the phase can be
fixed during the phase not
after the completion of the
phase.
This can be used for project
which are large in size. Mainly
the tailored project
management approaches
included is agile. This
approach has a main fall as
they are less predictable and
more time and commitment is
been required to achieve set
target and objectives of
projects.
Waterfall
The waterfall is an approach that work in linear from, where the project stakeholders and
the project customers needs are collected at the binging of the project. A benefit from the
Waterfall method is that before the next phase of development, project managers have to ensure
the precious are ready completed that makes different from the approaches.

Agile
Agile approach helps to promote a discipline within the project and it is the process that
encourage the adoption and inspection of the whole project. The benefits that makes different
from the other approaches in Agile is that it helps to improve quality of the project and provide
the best possible outcomes and project managers can easily shift from the one phase to the
previous phase to remove errors. While fault in these approaches that can be faced by the project
manager is that poor resource plaining can affect their project quality.
Prince2
It is the process that totally based and focus to take whole control over the project to
make project successfully and achieve the project objectives which means that project are
toughly planned before it kick-off. Benefits from this approach is that it helps to enhance the
communication and fault in this approach is that it only has 2 tools.
Type of projects
There are various type of product like Construction project, commercial project, events
like weddings, product launch, engineering plans etc. some of the small projects covers party,
design of the portfolio management, sport's event etc. Complex projects- Wedding event,
construction project, etc.

1.5- Apply and determine the project lifestyle approaches to the project work prorogation.
A linear life cycle is best suited for projects that have well-defined objectives from the outset of
the project. In a linear life cycle, any change to the project scope will result in the changes in
project schedule and the project delivery date. This can be used by construction industry for their
small and uncomplicated project.
Document Page
This life cycle works only for the large scale projects. It can assist the construction company in
testing the scope of project so that aim and objectives of firm can be achieved.
This type of life cycle model can be used in real projects. Construction industry can make use of
this project in projects which are to be completed in specific time period. It can assist in delivery
the benefits quickly.
