1 Introduction
1.1 Outline
In this report, I am going to write about my experience while utilising the PMBOK areas. I
undertook a course on project management that helped me to develop my talents as a project
manager. In this report, I am going to reflect upon the scope, integration, cost and risk that are
involved in managing a project in an effective manner. The stakeholders, resources and time
required for managing the project are highlighted in the report.

2 What have you learnt
2.1 If you had to do this course again, what would you do
differently?
The course that I have undertaken is easier than I had expected. The ability to learn new
things and the application of it in the practical life has helped in developing my skills. I would
advise students to undertake the course as it can provide an excellent learning opportunity and
future development in managing projects.
2.2 Reflections on Project Integration Management
I had a good group of members to help me carry out the project integration management.
The stages involved in the project integration were progressed smoothly due to the support that I
received from the group members. The group members bonded well and supported one another in
completing the topic. However, a suggestion can be made for ensuring improvement in the group
work. In the future, the group members can be introduced at least a week before starting the project
in order to avoid conflicts.
2.3 Reflections on Project Stakeholder Management
The stakeholders that I had listed included the employees as well as the Government.
Working with both the stakeholders helped me to understand the different level of support that is
provided. However, as stated by Burke (2013), customers are also an important stakeholder of a
company. In this case, however, customers were not necessary. I have also learned that stakeholders
play an important role in the success of a company.
2.4 Reflections on Project Scope Management
The expectations of the stakeholders included the investment on the success of the project.
According to Fleming and Koppelman (2016), the stakeholders are the ultimate investors in a
project of a company. The work and deliverables that are required for the stakeholders include an
understanding of the project and providing support for its success. I have learned about the
involvement of the stakeholders and the financial solutions that they provide.
2.5 Reflections on Project Resource Management
Managing resources require exceptional skill and prediction of expiry of resources (Kerzner
2013). This is an important aspect for a resource manager as the people, facilities and equipment
needed for the success of a project needs to be managed in an effective manner. After the
completion of this project, I have learned that the effective managing of these resources can reduce
the chances of failure of a project.

2.6 Reflections on Project Time Management
The project required proper management of time and activities in order to ensure that the
time allotted for each activity does not exceed the predicted time. After the completion of the
project, I have learned that time management is one of the important things that is required for the
completion of a successful project. However, one point, which I lacked in this assignment, is the
fact that there was no time for the preparation of QA that is to be put in front of the managers.
2.7 Reflections on Project Cost Management
The costing of a project needs to be based on the financial stability of a company (Leach
2014). The cost of a project increases with the increase in the length of the time of the project.
Hence, it is important to maintain a balance sheet in order to identify the amount of money spent on
the project. I had managed to keep the project within the budget allocated to me.
2.8 Reflections on Project Risk Management
After completing the project, I have understood that successful completion of a project is
filled with risks. The major risk includes the financial risk as companies may easily run into over
budget. In order to mitigate this, I had developed a budget plan that helped me to mitigate the
financial risks that may have arisen. Apart from the financial risk, there was no such risk that I had
encountered during the project.
2.9 Reflections on Project Quality Management
I have learned that quality management is important in order to have a successful project.
The quality of a project highlights the time taken for completing the project in a flawless manner
(Schwalbe 2015). The marks obtained by me are satisfactory, as I had worked hard by attending the
tuitions and attending every lecture that was provided by the professor.
2.10 Reflections on Project Procurement Management
In order to understand ways to manage a project, I needed to purchase textbooks and laptop
to gain an idea of the concept. I do not have any regret regarding the purchase of these materials as
the research done with the help of these items helped me to analyse the topic before applying it
practically.
2.11 Reflections on Project Communication Management
I had communicated with the stakeholders by regularly maintaining emails with them.
However, few members failed to maintain communication with the stakeholders as there were no
other provisions to let the stakeholders understand their thoughts. Despite this, working in the group
was easy. I could have helped my group members by forwarding the messages to the stakeholders
as I had the full accessibility to maintain communication with them.

3 Conclusions
Thus, it can be concluded that managing project has helped me to develop my skills as a
potential manager. I have understood the importance of being punctual and provide value to the
money that I have with me. I also understand the fact that quality maintenance is also important
after the completion of the project.
