Introduction
This report has focused on management functions of BGC Construction Company.
Various aspects of management functions have been mentioned in this report. An overview of
the company has been provided in the report that helps in understanding the background of the
Company. This report has focused on how these four management functions including planning,
organizing, leading and controlling are managed in the company. A survey has been done in
order to identify several ways by which BGC has been following these four management
functions. The current best practices of BGC construction has been mentioned in the report.
Strengths and Weaknesses of BGC Construction based on the survey has been mentioned in the
report. Some recommendations have been provided by which the company can improve its
management functions.
BGC Construction Overview
BGC Construction has been established in 1994. The main agenda of the formation of
then company was to meet the demand of construction sector in Australia. There has been
enhancement in construction industry during late 90s (Kembłowski et al., 2018). This has
become a major source of motivation for the formation of the BGC Constriction Company. The
Company has been able to create new benchmarks in the Western Australian building industry
by its ability of providing highest quality of products, design and services. It has a group
turnover of more than $3 billion per annum with 3500 employees. The Company has been
known for its best practices in the construction industry. The Company has been able to create a
high value brand image in Australia. It is currently undergoing accreditation to the Australian
Government Building and Construction Federal OHS Accreditation Scheme. The team members
in the company are well balanced and experienced. The team members are committed towards

the goals and mission of the company in the market. The Company has been focused on meeting
its goals and objectives in the market. It has been able to earn high level of customer satisfaction
by providing enhanced quality of design and products. The company has been well known for its
minimal client disputes and promoting ongoing partnerships with clients.
Survey
The company has been able to maintain all the management functions including planning,
organizing, leading and controlling. A survey has been done with the management of the BGC to
analyze its capability of managing its management functions.
