Requirements Document
The project is basically based on the construction and development of a coffee bar with
appropriate atmosphere for the students of the university who can discuss various study related
and other topics within the university campus along with some coffee and snacks. The main
requirements to be delivered in this project are as follows.
 Suitable coffee bar atmosphere
 Specific area for storage of food materials
 Hiring of staff for managing the coffee bar during the university class hours
 Comfortable furniture for the students
 Outlet ports for electronic charging and other purposes
 Technology tutoring facility
 Reliable internet connection with access to all relevant educational websites
Following the list above, the high level requirements of the project include the following.
Setting up IT compatible coffee bar with various facilities that will benefit the
students
Comfortable seating areas for the students inside the coffee bar
Specific area where the students can purchase and consume food and beverage
While the requirements above are more or less straightforward, there are also certain risks
and threats that the project team needs to be aware of while executing the project. Some of the
possible project risks include personal conflicts within the project team and the contracts, use of
non-secure networks while developing IT infrastructure and others.

Quality Management Plan
Ensuring fulfilment of certain quality standards is essential to any project and this project
is no different. Before the project work is started, a suitable quality management plan needs to be
developed. The aspects of the project that will have to be emphasized on include: quality of
materials utilised to build the coffee bar, quality of the equipments that will be procured and
installed, quality of the internet network services that will provided to the students and others.
For ensuring quality, detailed testing is recommended while procuring the products from the
vendors. Furthermore, frequent monitoring of the project is recommended so as to ensure the
quality standards are being fulfilled.

Estimations using Various Techniques
Previously above, the overall budget of the project has been estimated using bottom up
estimation technique where the usage rates and costs of the resources (human and material) are
determined and then allocated to individual work packages such that they total costs can be
calculated. However, this is not always the most accurate calculation because the durations of the
work packages themselves are not 100% reliable. The duration estimates are only ‘most likely
durations’ and they may change. Hence, it is recommended to calculate the most accurate
estimated duration for finding the more accurate budget; where:
Estimated duration = (Optimistic duration + Pessimistic Duration + 4*Most Likely
Duration) / 6

In this project, the most likely duration is 160 days, let the optimistic duration is 150 days
and pessimistic duration is 180 days. Hence, the estimated duration is: (150 + (4*160) + 180) / 6
= 162 days.
Accordingly, the budget will also change as the estimated duration is not equal to the
most likely duration. Based on this formula, the estimation calculations are done in the
spreadsheet attached with this document.
