Why change management is a necessary component of project management
In most instances, change management refers to the management of various changes in
operations with the objective of ensuring that the desired outcomes would result and work
towards ensuring the organizational goals are met. It involves the approach of strategic planning
to change various stakeholders in an organization from their present state or customs to the
desired state (Bierwolf, 2017). Change management is the necessary component of project
management as it useful in making the organization to be competitive. It helps the organization
to respond faster to the demands of different customers. It also allows the management to assess
the overall influence of the change in their operations (Hassan, Ojeniyi, & Razalli, 2015).
Besides, change management is necessary for different projects as it helps in the creation of the
opportunity for development of ideal practices, development of leadership, and team
development that help in achieving the goals of the organization. Moreover, it can help in the
provision of an effective process of management of the project that lowers the dangers linked
with any change that management might face in its operations.
Processes or strategies that would work appropriate to analyzing, assessing, alongside
manage changes in a project
Most organizations that invest huge funds in their functions tend to fear the
organizational change. Therefore, it is necessary that when there is an occurrence in a change in
management, there is the need to address such changes as quick as possible (Bredillet,
Tywoniak, & Tootoonchy, 2018). The strategy of monitoring and tracking different changes in
the given project remains to be vital towards analyzing, assessing, and managing various changes
in projects. Introducing changes in the operation of any project is always a challenging matter.

However, the organization needs to focus on having an effective way of defining the scope of its
operations before it can tackle the scope of control of every change in operations. From various
studies, it is evident that strategy that can be used to work best towards analysis, assessment, and
management of changes in a project must cover every problem that affects operations of
management. Development of a detailed plan of change is a useful strategy that can help in the
analysis of project changes (Dede, 2018). The inclusion of workers in every change and
supporting them to adapt to change successfully is another approach that is effective in the
management and assessing changes in a project.
Techniques or devices that have been employed to remain organized and hold professionals
projects on pathway
The major tools that have been used to remain organized as well as keep professional
projects on track consist of a Gantt chart, Work Breakdown Structure, Logic Structure, and
PERT chart. Other devices include different software useful in the process of management of the
project. Such software includes Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Microsoft Excel. The use of
Primavera is essential as it had been applied towards the management of risk course for
completion of the project. It is used in managing risk in projects that target at tracking the
activities and deadline for such operations while calculating the interval of risk within the
specified project (Broadbent, 2017). Additionally, the use of Logic Network is vital as it helped
in giving a clear indication of the sequences of operations in the project within a set duration.
The tool showed which activity logically follows or precedes another operation. Additionally, the
Gantt chart was used to help in indicating bar of project management chart that tracks activities
across a given duration (van der Hoorn, 2016). The use of Microsoft Excel was necessary as it

provides the best platform as it was linked with Primavera which was applied for the particular
calculation.
How these tools and techniques have helped in managing change
Just like in most projects, the primary targets of the used tools were to assist in meeting
the set deadline of every sub-activities. Therefore, the use of a Gantt chart was necessary to
ensure that the project worked within the set deadlines. Besides, with the advancement in
technological usage that has led to increase in use of smartphones that are essential in assisting
every user in keeping track of their day-to-day operations, the use of business calendar was
effective in performing a similar function in the management of change within the project. The
use of PERT Chart was essential in this project management as it helps in analyzing the
operations involved in the completion of a given project (Dede, 2018). Particularly it helped in
working within the time required to do each task as well as identifying the minimum period
needed to complete the entire project.
