2. The project will take 524 days to complete the implementation of the cloud in MQ manufacturing. The network diagram showing
the critical task is shown below.

The critical path indicates the total minimum amount of time that is taken to complete the task. The critical path helps a project
manager to complete the task in the shortest possible way.
To find out the critical path of a network, the early start time and the early finish time is calculated first. The duration of the
task is added to the early start time of an activity. This is known as forward pass calculation. After ending the last activity of the

network, there comes a backward pass calculation where the late start and late finish is calculated. Late finish is calculated from the
previous late start and the duration is subtracted from the late finish to get the late start.
There is a slack calculated in the network diagram that states the critical path of the solution. The critical path is taken where
the slack of the activity is 0. The slack is calculated as early start – late start.
3. The cost of the project is determined by allocating resources to all the defined activities. The time frame of the activity is
determined a stated in the project requirement. It takes almost 2 years to implement the project in MQ manufacturing. The staffs were
allocated as per the requirement of the activity that is to be completed for doing the project.
